We wanted to switch things up a little this week! We also decided we wanted to changed our upload schedule to every Friday @ 10 AM EST from now on! Let us know what you guys think
Love the video. Just try to stay away from neck or wheel bearings with pressure washer. It can actually screw up the grease and cause the bearing to rust.
FYI, nameplates on side of tank comes off with just two screws each, side covers just pull off out of rubber grommets. Bike also has a center stand which only takes a second to put up on & would make it a lot easier to clean bike overall.
Gentlemen. I love seeing the work you do, the only thing that could make it better would be seeing the owners responses once cleaned. Thanks for sharing.
I have a 2004 Harley Davidson Softail that I had to special order back in 2003. That bike never leaves the garage dirty. Whenever I come back home it goes right back onto the left so that way no one can bump into it or touch it without reaching over to do so. Only time my bike is ever dirty is during bike weeks. Even then most of the condos that we stay in have a hose and bucket outside as a courtesy. I enjoyed watching you detail the bike. I would enjoy seeing more of that. I know there is a call for bike detailing. At almost any like event that's large there's always at least one detailer set up somewhere. Sometimes they have four or five bikes sitting on the side waiting to get done. At my first bike of rent that's when I learned about 0000 steel wool. The detailer gave me a tip on using that on my spokes of my Harley and it works out perfectly. You did a great job on this bike Hope to see more on your channel.
After all, a motorcycle ist designed to withstand daily use even in heavy rain. Therefore, no part of it is made of soap. Just think of the millions of small bikes in southeast Asia during the wet season.
My dad had a 1980’s honda goldwing interstate when i was a child and it was black and gold. And hallmark made it into a Christmas ordament this year and know it’s back in my life again
I have a black Honda CBX750 from 2001 working fine and I don't think to change or sale it. Amaizing motorbike! Really enjoy a lot to ride it. The feeling of freedom is more intense and with more adrenalin and style. The smooth sound from the exhauster is superb. Just send it a few days to a workshop to do some manutention but till now they do not return or say anything about it. Suspecting that they are doing more than I am thinking. Maybe a surprise. Maybe a restauration surprise. I am very positive. Whatever the price, I will pay if they do that.
To answer your question I own a 2010 vw passat R36 and an suzuki intruder C109R I enjoy working on them and maintaining them nice and clean Thnx for the very nice video I enjoyed it Keep them coming
Favorite type of motorcycle is any kind of cruiser style bike. The ones where you just sit comfortably in the seat, lean back, and...well...cruise haha. My last bike was a Honda Shadow VLX and it was exactly this style. I miss it so much 😢 Great video!
I own a ZZR1400, its my second one. 1st got sold due to financial difficulty. It it the ONLY bike I have ever ridden which ticks all boxes.. comfort, cruising, speed, traction.... only downside is MPG but hey, cant complain when the fuel is put to good use
I love all kinds of motorcycles. I have a 1979 Honda PA50, a 1997 Kawasaki Vulcan 750, a 2001 Yamaha Zuma and a 1993 Harley Sportster 883. Sadly the Honda and Kawasaki no longer but the other bikes do get ridden from time to time. Thanks for doing something a little different!
Hi - I restored my CB-750 1979 Limited Edition which I bought in 79 and had shelved for over 30 years. I just restored her as of last week except for replacing the tires which will happen before Spring. Part of my restoration included Carb rebuild, Front Caliber rebuild, ignition stuff and chain cleaning and lubing. note: to avoid scorching the cylinders upon initial cranking, I used WD40 in the spark plug holes first!. It was nice to hear her startup - Cosmetically she is also okay except for some paint nicks on the tank. Question: Do you know where I can find these specific paints for touch up ?? In the meantime she patiently awaits for a Covid19 Free Spring Summer, where I will register her again for the road - ( it was in 1988 I moth balled her until my kid grew up. Then I had to await for the right time to restore her which was during the shelter in place - - and she is now restored - ) She is not for sale -
Harley owner here - 2014 Sportster Superlow and a 2007 Nightster 1200. The end result of your detail was fantastic. I would not ever recommend any kind of a high pressure wash on a bike. The fuse boxes are not water tight and any resulting water will cause some serious malfunctions. I chased a gremlin for years on my ‘07 due to water intrusion in the fuse box. You are better off using the 2 bucket method and not use a foam canon. The nano polisher would be a godsend for a bike. Need to look into one of those. I’d like to see more details of motorcycles. Thanks!
Came out really nice. I had a 73 CB750. My first new bike. Now, I have a CMX 1100DCT -2021. A great bike. You guys do nice work. It's all in the details...lol
CB750 IS Legend iconic Machine WAY BEETER THAN CMX I Got Crown trophy 🏆 winner CB750F NOS gorgeous 2nd same bike since mid 80s both are show Room Condition show Bikes ✨️
I seriously enjoyed this video alot, dont see many old bike details on youtube, I've got a 2020 road glide pretty decent so far, hope to see more bike videos soon.
Just found this, this is a Classic and iconic motorcycle. What a shame to find it in that condition and sitting there doing nothing, it makes me sad. At least it has had some TLC, I just hope the owner goes on to do it justice. Would like to see you do more bikes you will need additional gear (stands etc). Be careful with where you point the spray gun bearings do like it. Great job with what you had to work with
Well done Just two things: 1) engine: it's a tricky part to clean but I'm sure that it would have been possible to remove some more and bring back some shine here. 2) rear shocks: a hassle to clean and sometimes not even really possible without taking the whole shock apart but I would try to polish it a bit. Sometimes this works quite well
my grandfather used to have an Indian motorcycle back in the 1930’s but my grandmother made him sell it before they got married it was turquoise and chrome all around it my mom and my uncle said that the pictures of him riding it are really cool looking
I love 1960’s-1970’s Japanese bikes like this one, but I’ve never owned one. I’ve owned many modern Japanese and European motorcycles. Triumph is probably my favorite make, but I currently own a Honda Rebel 1100.
On most old bikes they will have a center kick stand so you can bring the bike up of two wheels next time you guys do an old bike look out for the big kick stand under the bike it’ll help you for when you guys are cleaning the rims and tyres just a I noticed that the normal stand was down and he missed that little tiny bit on camera I know he did it off camera tho anyway I own a cafe racer Yamaha and I love it keep up the stunning videos and I can’t wait for all the bike restoration to come wooop WOOOP BIKES MORE MORE MORE
Nice Job...Am a huge fan of triumph thruxton R and Ducati pinagale. But I own a sym Wolf classic 150 .. that's what am managing at the moment until I can afford to buy the once I earlier mentioned.
Respects, I've done car detailing with explicit details but cleaning a motorcycle is way more intricate and delicate. I say delicate because of the many rubber lines you risk rubbing the print off of.
A polish motor and carbs will make the bike stand out even more. The aluminum will shine like a mirror with some polish and elbow grease. I have a Honda CB900C 1982.
Nice job, I love types of bikes as you can see: Triumph Trophy SE, Triumph TRW ( ex-Canadian Army 1964), Triumph Bonneville ( ex-British Army Display Team 1966) Triumph Bonneville1964 Custom Chopper, Greeves Scottish Trials 1961 (Owned by Sam Miller) 2x Armstrong MT-500 (ex-British Army Parachute Regiment) Triumph Bonneville T100 (2010) and a BSA Bantam D1, I'm not showing off it just shows how much I like my bikes, yes there all British but I've tried loads of different makes and models (BMW, Kawasaki, Honda) to name but few but always went back a British bike for comfort, and my style of riding. Hope you like my list of steel horses in the stables. Get videos keep them coming.
I have a 95 Shadow ACE 1100, and a 79 Goldwing, windjammer tour pack, iam restoring, my favorite to have will be a CBX or that CB750 as is its perfect. also a VROD will be nice to have
Ever any issues with old gaskets when working on old bikes with the pressure washer? Just bought an old bike and don’t want to mess anything up while cleaning 😅
Hopefully gonna buy a Honda steed 600 this year ( first bike ). Cruiser fan here. Stupid question, but is there any risk to the electrics of the bike when using pressure washers or a hose ?
