My gosh that house is absolutely majestic. Must be early 1900's. Some rich guy's home. Generations of people come and go through the decades. Guys like you help the air-cooled VWs go on forever.
"And you may find yourself a blue Beetle to bring home. And you may find yourself in the bowels of an ancient barn. And you may find yourself chiseling into the frozen earth. And you may ask yourself, 'Well, how did I get here?!?!'" Jason, et al. thanks for the videos on this. I can't imagine the number of combined hours spent on unearthing that prize. Hopefully the other two Bugs at least provided some usable parts, too. Have a great weekend!
Glad to see that you got the car out of there. I had no doubt! I serviced many of them when they were new. My 73 bettle, one of my best cars I've owned. Thanks for the posting!
What a car rescue/ salvage! That must have cost you a lot of strength and nerves. But , the beetle is on the trailer, Bravo. Have a relaxing weekend too!
Bravo Guys!! That is what I call determination. Loved the three part series, or is there a part four, we still have to see this beetle totally cleaned up. 🚙 Thank you for saving another old bug (sorry Jen, he’s dragging home another one).
Great work fallas. I’ve watched each video. Incredible the problems you had to overcome. Frozen ground needing chiseling, wearing gloves and all that bulky clothing. Thank goodness we don’t have those issues here in Australia. Great V Dub. Looking forward to seeing the restoration and finished product.
Awesome job getting her out. Cleaned up pretty nicely at the car wash, well the back half at least. Can’t wait to see and hear her run!! Peace and love bro.
Oh man, cobalt blue w white interior! My 1st 'vert was a '69 that had been abandoned in a field that color combo- after the wrangling to get it titled properly I did it back up in factory threads, down to the grey vinyl top. Lots of work but labor of love at 23 years old... and now at 52 I just brought home a project '78 and couldn't be happier ☀️🤠 Thanks for the fun channel and hard work getting these cars out of the woodwork (quite literally this time!!!)
Really enjoy these longer video's Jason, We get to see the real hardwork that goes in to these rescues.. Well done, Great save and lets hope she's a runner :)
thank you BMX'r , you would still be watching if I left the uncut axle pin removal in lol . As for the engine , it's a disaster and will take a few hours of just cleaning . We will fill it up with marvel and let it sit . I would like to save it as it appears to the org engine .
Best barn find/recovery video yet from you Jason! Thank God it wasn't closer to that wall! Great job great video, looking forward to the clean up and inspection! Digging that fancy ski cap too!
🤣, I think it was already on the ground under the car in the barn . I saw it in the edit when we had the jack under the car. did Matt toss it back in or maybe there was a spare in the car ? No idea , too funny though when he claimed the trailer and it took thee light off lol.
Well it's been quite a journey with three installments just to get it out of there! Oh don't get me wrong I have enjoyed every minute and the helpful people that trusted you to succeed. On the other hand those people at the car wash really look forward to you coming and blocking their drains.😂 On first look though the bug seems pretty good, I know the others are not so good but the best out first. That bumper will straighten up no problem.😉 Thanks Jason, Matt and Udizzy for some great work and videos. Enjoy your weekend Jason.👍
Nice!! I'm looking forward to seeing this cleaned up! What an awesome find. If were the owner, I would have let you have all of those beetles in exchange for cleaning up that entryway into the barn.
I pulled a 68 Caprice out of a similar barn in the wintertime. It was embedded in ice. We dragged it out with a wrecker, leaving a lot of the rusty frame in the dirt! nice to see you got it out carefully.
You ever notice all these people telling you that your doing it the wrong way but they don't have a suggestion how to do it the right way and they never offer to come , thats because they are all BOSSES?
I can hardly wait for that convertible beetle once it is cleaned and those rusted bits gone, it should look spectacular, those rims you put on to move the car look awesome on that car, something different, Did Josh give his approval on the Beetle after all he is your right hand, when looking for treasures👆☝🏽👍😎👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Wow! It's your best "save" series yet. Really great effort from lots of your friends. I'm impressed by the upgrade of the equipment from some of the first rescues. The brake pads removal is genius and others should copy it. Sounds like a new trailer is coming?
Coooee Mate ! .... Great as always ! I think you should have move the 'new' car over about three feet, to make access to the right hand side wheels easier ..LOL ! Kind regards Alex
Only in America get a new meaning, where else in the world would you find such barn finds and the dedicated citizens who work so hard to get them out to restore. I can't imagine what it was like in the gold rush days.
