You know, there's a lot going wrong in this world, and a sizable amount of it on this website, but this dad who's just trying to fix his son's pajamas is monumentally grateful that there is such a person as the zipper lady who knows all the tricks to zippering and then puts videos of it out for the world to see when they need to fix their son's pajamas.
Always just wondered how those work, now I know. Lady, you did a great presentation, no music, concise, right to the point and a good camera view. THANKS.
Omigod, the MUSIC!!! It has its place, adds to amusing videos, but on instructional ones it can be so distracting. Imagine if we were in some crafting/quilting class at a shop, and the teacher cranks up an annoying instrumental as soon as she starts talking! Gimme plainspeak any day, get to the point and don't rush through the demo. ZIPPER LADY does all the above without annoying me! ❤ It doesn't hurt my feelings that she has a pleasant speaking voice, too, with excellent diction.
Thanks for your video! I’ve seen a few videos that show how to use a fork and it never made any sense to me and didn’t work. Your video, however, shows exactly what you are doing in a beautiful close up, and it makes perfect sense to me now!!
I was struggling to put the pull on the zipper tape...and was having a horrible time with the head wiggling all over...and then I found your video showing your trick with the fork...and it solved my problem!!! I was able to finish my project that I wasn't sure I'd be able to until I found your secret! Thank you so much!
I worked in a store that sold zipper by the yard and I never got a zipper pull onto a zipper tape as fast as you in the 6 years I was there. I would have killed to be able to do this as easily. I loved your tips and THANK YOU.
Finally! A tutorial that shows the whole process ‘close up’. All this time I wasn’t putting the fork tines at the proper place on the zipper head. Thank you!
Just fixed a canopy party tent zipper using your video! It took a bit of "jiggling" as you said it would, but I just saved a lot of money on either replacing the zipper or replacing the tent side! This was wonderful!!! Thanks so much.
This has got to be the tip of the century! thank you so much zipper lady - I already had "the tummy" and I was so happy to find a 3 tine fork in my drawer. It didn't take me long to put all my zipper pulls onto my continuous tape and I am truly away laughing. Thanks again!
Many many years ago I saw your video. I remembered I had this zipper roll I bought at the Pacific International Quilt Show in my bottom drawer. I could never figure out how to attach the darn pulls so there it sat for years. Your video fixed all that. Works like a charm. My mother-in-law gave me her mother's silver set and has beautiful salad forks. That's what I use. Thank you again
I can't believe your fork trick works!!! Thank you so much! Had to bend a fork to get to three tines, but it works. I was struggling with getting one side on and then not getting the other on! Reading to take it to a repair place to have it fixed. Success!
Very nice trick ! Thank you ! I do zipper head insertions without taking down the zipper on many tipes of clothing and bags, it can get very annoying and hard ! ..pays well because it-s cheaper than replacing the whole zipper. Your trick can prove useful sometimes!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! Oh ZipperLady, you explained this so well, SO glad I found your videos. I'm replacing the pull for a 220" zipper on a mattress topper cover, and I didn't think i would be able to pull it off, was looking at replacement covers that cost 5X what the foam topper did (eons ago). Now all I have to do is apply what you demo'd to my situation. Now to set aside time to view AAALLLLLLL Zipper Lady Videos. 😸
I was about to call this trick worthless because it wasn't working with my zippers but after several tries, it actually worked! Wow, thank you for this neat trick!
Thank you! I’ve been fighting these pulls, and your video made it so easy! Met you at Sew Expo in Puyallup two years ago. Looking forward to in person Expo next year!
Wow! This is magic. I always have to struggle to get the slider on 2 occasions that I tried that I have to give up using continuous zipper. But now I will try this method and I hope it works for me. Thanks very much for this tutorial.
OMG..this trick is amazing.. thank you.. just saved myself 40cm of new zipper as i pulled the slider off by accident when sewing it into a new project. I don't have a lot of money so its saved me money. thank you. the Fork is my new best sewing notion ::)
OMG! My life would have been totally different had I known there was a zipperlady out there in the world like 15 years ago! This was booth educational and funny
Thank you 😊 !!! I’ve learned tricks too put zippers on and this i will try !!! I fix hems and zippers on clothes for people and enjoy the people that want there things fixed !!!
Really helpful! Especially ther repetitive nature of her approach. Helped me stay on task (with patience) until I was able to "wiggle" the zipper head on. Thank you so much.
omg thank you soooooooo much, i nearly threw my real of zip down the garden, i was close to screaming & then...... you lovely lady made it work! you deserve a Nobel prize xx thank you
This seems so cool. Thanks for sharing. You make it look so easy. Someone suggested this trick once but I was not sure about it. I do it somewhat differently but I'd love to do it this way. 😍😍😀
Oh my goodness...I got a small purse with a one sided zipper. I wanted to understand how they did it...thank you for sharing this as you have answered my question. Love your fork!
I’m so glad to have found your video! My arthritis in my hands is killing me at the moment after putting four zipper pulls on to continuous zipper tapes. I was doing it the hard way. Now, I know how to do it the smart way! 👍😊
Oh Thank you so much. Your fork and wiggly method saved my day and my backpack. Fixed and jiffy, caveat: I inserted the zipper head upside down, and now, zipper slides down and closes, this is great also, works!
