If I don't get a Copyright, before I publish on KBP and someone took the story from my book, and made a movie from it. Is that legal? Will I be able to sue, if I didn't make a copyright for my story? Also, I wrote a children's book. But I do not have any artwork. I can draw but I want to publish my book now to have some type of dated proof of my book. And making cartoons for each page is going to make my release date longer. Can I publish my book without the artwork then add the artwork later? Or should I even do that if I could? And, if I got my book copyrighted, before I added the artwork, will I have to re-register my copyright, once I add the artwork?

Is this doable with An IPad? I have two-page spread illustrations that I made using Adobe fresco.

Yes, very helpful! I am working on my children's book right now, and you showing how to format it and upload it to KDP is so helpful. I like how you also showed how to adjust the placement of the art on the page to make sure it's aligned correctly or if we get it wrong the first time. And how you described the color choice format needed. I don't think I have seem any other videos yet that mention that. Thank you very much!

Hi, I have , please, question about ISBN code. You are saying that it is better to buy your own code. But is it possible to make a second edition of a book with a new ISBN? in case if it is the first book and you have a lack of experience and budget... maybe you already have a video about this? 😉

I have a couple questions about ISBN's and Copyright, what are they exactly? When do we get them and why do some people say copyright is not needed? Do you need a new one for every book you publish?

I'm a little confused. Your gutter is set at .75", should it be .375" or less for a 32 page book? KdP listed it as 24 to 150 pages use gutter of .375, so if the book is 32 pages is it better to do a .25 gutter?

Do you have a how-to on how to actually CREATE a book? I know i have rhe writing skills to WRITE a good book. I don't know what to DO with that though. Like I don't know where to start. Where do you write, do you start in a word doc, paste into the pages on adobe? Is there a way to find a template thats the right size? Is Adobe even the right software to use? So, in other words lets say I have all the neccessary words to fill every page of a book right now, where should I put them. I need know how to physically start the creation process. I keep finding videos on how to market the books, how to upload the pdf to KDP. But WHERE do I start when wanting to CREATE the pdf for uploading to KDP? Quick question .. so with you saying that the book always prints on the right side. Was your page 1 your first opening right side page? Not technically page 2&3 together? Thankyou

I don’t know if this is a dumb question, but I see that it can be 8 1/2 by 11, but can it be 11 by 8 1/2? Landscape instead of portrait? Because the book I have is landscape and I could easily crop it to fir 11 by 8 1/2, so that would be really nice.

Do you just up load both manuscript and art and then put it together? How do I get the text on the art? Make the actual pages? Is that something that happens within KDP? So I need to know if files are saved as jpegs then made into a pdf to upload (The directions of Amazon say all files must be PDF file#s) does combing the jpeg files onto one pdf make the jpeg files into pdf files? This is confusing to me…thank you

KDP wont publish my childrens book which is 32 pages long. It says it has to be at least 72 pages long. How can i correct this

No those blue lines are margin, not trim .. you messed up .. your white page is 8.5 x 11, that’s your trim

Hi Izzy, thank you for the informative video, love your enthusiasm. As a publisher, did you register your publishing name as a company, or registered with the state before using your publishing name, or decided to use your name without any formal filing process with the state or city. And, for KDP, can I use any made-up publisher name or should it the same name as Bowker's ISBN, and LCCN (is possible to make up a publishing name for Bowker and LCCN). Also, for KDP, is it possible to publish a nonstandard trim size book, for example, 11 x 8.5 in. book.

I have problem . All my interior pages prints are over saturated. Especialy blue colors. In photoshop i tried to reproduce in color proof the same print result. Nothing goes close to it. What are the exact parameters in color proof custom setup for kdp ?
