Limestone is a hard, grey sedimentary rock largely composed of Calcium Carbonate. It was formed under the sea from the remains of organic matter such as seashells and plants.
This video explains the processes that formed limestone and the different types of features found in Karst landscapes such as caves, sink holes, and many more.
This video was filmed in China, Thailand and New Zealand.

This was great. I wanted to see something like this when I saw the landscape at Ninh Binh and Halong Bay in Vietnam. However, information on this topic is very spare. So thanks for making this 😊

Thanks. I made most of it on a holiday in Guilin, China and had to go elsewhere to get the rest of the footage. It was certainly a fun video to make.

Phenomenal video. Short, precise and contains all necessary information for me to locate a cave beneath the Atlantic so that I can return to France covertly as I am imprisoned on the island of Saint Helena. Regards, Napoleon.

Great stuff Darron! Headed to Sichuan this year to check out some of these karsts and caves. Missed out on seeing the Punakaiki rocks due to a road closure last winter. Hope to see them when I'm back home next year 🙏

I dont think so. Ive never been there before, but from what Ive read it is sandstone rather than limestone.

Just an optical illusion. When you are actually at that location, the hills surrounding the basin are actually steep. The place in question is called Lake Disappear in Waikato, New Zealand. teara.govt.nz/en/photograph/12409/lake-disappear#:~:text=This%20ephemeral%20lake%2C%20north%2Deast,fills%20with%20water%20(bottom).

i know your doing a test so The development of tower karst requires a minimum of 1200mm (the dude says 120 centimetres) of precipitation per year and an average temperature of at least 18 degrees Celsius.
