You stumbled across my favorite BTS Japanese single: "Stay Gold" which is a song from the original soundtrack for the drama series Spiral Labyrinth. It is also the lead single from the band's 4th Japanese studio album, Map of the Soul: 7 - The Journey. I often find myself randomly singing this song, it just pops up out of nowhere and I'm humming the chorus. Many fans believe it is inspired by both the Robert Frost poem, Nothing Gold Can Stay and the S.E. Hinton novel, The Outsiders, which you probably know from the movie starring many of the brat pack, the 80's actor version of a boy band: Tom Cruise, Emilio Estevez, Patrick Swayze, Rob Lowe, Ralph Macchio, Matt Dillon, C.Thomas Howell, and Leif Garrett.

Nathan,I don't know if you have checked it out, but a song which has the type of vibe that you talked abt - using a specific vocal like an instrument can be seen in is 'life goes on' by BTS. there's a kind of synth sound vocal ( which i think is jimin) that starts off the song. Maybe someone more knowledgeable can vouch for that. Also stay gold is definitely a song u should listen to the live version of to get the full experience.

I absolutely love BTS’ Japanese songs! They are among my favorites by them! Autumn Leaves, Crystal Snow, Let Go, and Film Out to name a few! The year Film Out was released, it was my number #1 song on Spotify for that year! Stay Gold is definitely a feel good song. The lyrics are warm and inviting. I absolutely love listening to Jungkook and Jimin’s vocals running together in songs like this! Jungkook’s ad libs are amazing as always! I enjoy the cadence used by Suga and RM in this song. Nathan, you should definitely listen to more of their Japanese releases! I will also recommend checking out their songs entitled Paradise and 134340! Oh and Your Eyes Tell is incredible. It was written by Jungkook for an OST, but he decided to release it with all of them singing it and not just him. I know you love falsettos and this one will not disappoint!!

BTS has become my favorite Kpop group. Before I knew them I was listening to Ftisland and Cnblue. I very much believe you would enjoy reviewing Ftisland. They are more of a rock band, but the Lee Hong Ki has an unique voice and sings a lot of ballads too. My personal favorite song is Catch a Falling Star.
