Congratulations, you just witnessed the greatest vocalist alive. He is a twenty-nine year old multi-faceted artist with a soul of a thousand years, who hails from Kazakhstan. He sings in 16 different languages (speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, some English, and a little Mandarin), plays 8 musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in musicology (has a Masters in composition). He’s been training since the age of 5, has a 7 octave range, has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble and kind man. His mother is a classically trained singer and his father is a singer and producer. After digesting those performances, I can't stress enough my recommendation for one of his most recent songs and music video (mini movie) the artistic masterpiece "The Story of One Sky" that he wrote the screenplay for and spent 3 years composing the music for, which displays a lot of his range (not all) and soooo many vocal techniques and dynamics, including sub harmonics, whistle register, bass, tenor, baritone, classical, jazz, pop, rock and unreal metal screams....and unbelievable dramatic acting. Each performance will leave you stunned. Thank you for reacting to our Dimash from a loyal "Dear" (fandom name given to us by Dimash, because we are dear to him like his family). That's exactly what I said when I discovered Dimash: WOW!!! On May 4, 2024 I witnessed Dimash's concert in Budapest... me and 11000 other people from 77 countries... IT WAS PHENOMENAL... There are no words to explain the feeling you get when you hear him THE VOICE... this man is an angel on earth!!! As a producer you might be interested to know where this song came from. It’s a song from Starmania…it is a French-Canadian cyberpunk rock opera written in 1976 with the music score by Michel Berger and the lyrics by Luc Plamondon. In the opera the lead character is Johnny Rocket and he is singing S.O.S. when Crystal, the love of his life has been killed while fighting extraterrestrials who are trying to take over the earth. It is a song of self-doubt about his life and whether he wants to go on living. At this point he wants to be taken up into the heavens. Starmania has been translated into many languages and has been performed in English by Tom Jones and many other famous singers. The song S.O.S. has been popular ever since it was written because I think it speaks to everyone’s self-doubt which we all feel at some time in our lives. Dimash performs this in its original french language. Dimash makes you feel every single emotion the character is going through in the opera in his performance. Why do I live…why do I die. In many performances of S.O.S. he will drop to his knees just as Johnny Rocket does in the opera, weeping over his lost love while holding her in his arms telling her to sleep child. Dimash is a 29-year-old Kazakh vocalist and composer; He speaks Kasakh, Russian and English and is learning Mandarin Chinese. He sings in more than 14 languages, plays 7 musical instruments. He graduated from the Kazakhstan University of Arts with a master's degree in composition and would be completing a doctorate in musicology. He also dances, acts and is an advertising model (he is 6.3 feet tall). He has received countless awards and honors around the world. When you listen to Olimpico, it is important to watch the one with Dimash and Igor Krutoy. It shows Dimash with lights like stars encircling him. Igor is the composer. The song was written for Dimash's voice and range. It was written for the second European Olimpic Games. It is in italian.

He sings all genres of music from Opera (& he can do baritone, tenor & soprano) to pop & everything inbetween. He truly is a once-in-a-lifetime artist. Dimash is well worth a dive down his rabbit hole. Really, this is nothing. He performed Vitas; Opera 2 in China in 2017. He was so fabulous, Vitas wrote him and told him to cease and desist from performing any of his music.. Dimash did.

Dimash began his classical/operatic vocal training just before age 5. He will be 30 the 24th of May and is still meeting with vocal coaches. He is considered the greatest vocalist in the world and has a vocal range of well over 7 octaves. He has also trained in playing in several instruments. He does have perfect pitch. He is now Dr. Qudaibergen (PhD). Very high IQ, composer, has been quite the athlete but his schedule is quite busy so not sure where he is in that field at the moment. Like many in Kazakhstan, he is Eurasian. Tall at 6'3", kind, you will often see him walking around with someone's baby in his arms. He developed this habit from being that way with his two younger siblings. He came from musical parents who were well known entertainers in Kazakhstan.

Dimash once covered Vitas' Opera 2 on a Chinese singing competition and blew all the other competitors out of the water by exaggerating what Vitas had done even further. When Vitas (or his management) heard this cover, they forbade Dimash to ever sing Opera 2 again. Fortunately, the performance is here on RU-vid, just search for it.

I need not add to the accolades that have already been given to Dimash in the comments...all of which are not enough. You mentioned Vytas so I guess you are thinking of Opera 2. Dimash performed that song in the Chinese singing competition called "Singer 2017". Dimash was only 22, the first foreigner and the youngest non-professional singer in the show's history. He was invited to perform and was considered a "Darkhorse." One of the producers stated, " This horse is too dark." The other participants were 12-39 years his senior and knew nothing about Dimash. They were utterly astounded and "Dimashified". I hope you watch his performances on that show. Then you can appreciate and listen to how he progressed with each song. His first four songs were S.O.S., Opera 2, The Show Must Go On, and Autumn Strong; French, Russian, English, and Mandarin, in that order. He only spoke Kazakh and Russian and only one week to learn the dong for each performance. You must listen to Adagio, All By Myself, Unforgettable Day, and Confessa/Diva Dance, all from that same show. If you want to hear the run to end all runs, then you must listen to Sinful Passion, he held that run for 22 seconds, and "Stranger". He sings like an angel on Ave Maria, and a desperate heartbroken lover when he sings "Ikanaide" in perfect Japanese). You ain't heard nothing yet. I am so glad for a reactor that not only appreciates the intricacies of Dimash's talents but understands them as well. By the way, he still does vocal training for 3-5 hours every day. Anxious to hear more Dimash from you. One more thing, Dimasg is forbidden to sing "Opera 2" again. Other singers and songwriters whose music Dimash covered thanked him. Lastly, the majority of his videos do have cc for English translations. When you know the words, it gives you a better understanding of the emotions he pours into each song.

I love this song and the lyrics. If you so choose please watch him from time to time. Obviously, he has other great songs and performances that are mind-boggling. His last 2 songs he dropped surprised us all. They are MV's that are more contemporary. "When Got You and "Smoke". With that voice, he has no boundaries. He can sing anything. I watched a mini documentary about him. His parents are dynafmic singers, too, and raised him up in that melodic environment. It's fun to see him growing up and singing on stage.
