FORMER CHAMPS | That Fell Down the Card!
Usually when a wrestler wins a World Title it’s a moment which signifies that they’ve made it to the top of the industry, and going forward on they’ll remain at the top of the card. Sadly though, as history has shown us, this is not always the case. No, sometimes a performer reaches the mountaintop only to fall back down again after their title reign is over. But who are the biggest examples of this in wrestling history? Well, that’s exactly what we’re going to be looking at today.

Dolph Ziggler is probably the most screwed wrestler of the 2000s & 2010s. He proved that he has the ability to be a main event talent. Even after winning the world heavyweight title, I felt like they should have done more with the reign. After he lost it, He never got the opportunity to win it again.

And since sheamus lost to Gunther in SummerSlam, winning that IC championship at WrestleMania with a singles match with him and Gunther would have been perfect.

It was too early for him at that time. People had such a difficult time of taking him seriously because was never treated like a verbal threat and more like a fluky champion. Yes, everything is always about race and only race. There is NEVER anything in life that ever happens for any reason other than skin color. It wasn't like Vince had an insane hard on for Ahmed Johnson in the late 90s despite him never deserving it, followed by the rock being the most over thing ever at that time, it isn't like Vince has always disliked smaller guys and LOVES massive, physical freaks (something Kofi isn't) NOPE none of that ever happened or is true, life is ONLY dictated on race and never anything else.

I don't know if it's completely fair to put Big E in here. He was injured so soon after he lost the championship. Granted he was another victim of Brock Lesnar taking the championship off a black man(literally everytime! Kofi, Lashley, and Big E.), but the injury kind of derails any theory that he would have stayed in the mid card. We just don't truly know what they would have done with him.

There are only a handful of titles in WWE. Not everyone can be a champion. Being on screen every week is more important. Look at AEW. They have 8,000 belts and none matter. Those championships are not helping the wrestler's who have them.

She was the crazy chick in inSANITY with Eric Young and her real life husband, but it went basically nowhere and after the boys were all released she was in limbo. Nikki ASH got over with crowds. This is what modern wrestling is missing and that’s fun goofy gimmicks. An even bigger missed opportunity is not having Hurricane Helms and Might Molly return to mentor her (which makes no sense since Helms and Holly are both signed to WWE as producers and legends and Helms made a rumble appearance) Also her outfit was very flattering to her 😉
