I love seeing and hearing new faces on the channel! It's interesting to hear his perspective on sharpness vs fluidity because I have seen more dancers prefer sharpness. Taeyong in my opinion is one of the best dancers in nct hands down, but in this particular choreography, Haechan stood out to me due to how connected he made his movement. It gave a smoothness the song calls for while also being in the groove if that makes sense. Taeyong stood out to me in favorite because I felt that he hit every beat. Either way, I loved the content as always
@@Koko3op haha sorry, i went back to look for the screen text... i think i was too inmersed looking at him, because at that moment he was talking about TY, my eyes probably saw sth pop out but my brain was like "i'm too busy listening and focusing on him" 🤣 I will do my best to pay attention in future videos 🌹💪
Agree. All NCT members are amazing dancers but not every dancer will be a perfect match for the given choreography. Someone can be at a master level dancer in one genre but can struggle in another genre. WinWin is a good example of someone who struggled with NCT choreography at the beginning because his background was classical dance but no one will say he is a bad dancer.
@@whereswesker in case you ended up not watching, during the reaction there was caption at the bottom that said he ended up changing his mind after watching Favorite
@@whereswesker he mentions him a little, he names him, yuta and haechan as his favorite dancers in sticker. also his comments about taeyong are very few (like 2 or 3) and are more like passing comments, but its also abit of how his jeans seemed to dampen/hinder his performance. its mostly just him praising nct as a whole and their choreo
haechan really is one of nct's best dancers and i can't believe he's still underrated in that part when he's really a natural! the reaction to his dancing is v accurate to my reaction to him bc he really is an effortless dancer 🤍 he's also a main vocalist on top of that!
yeah Yuta and haechanie also my fave in NCT ..their movement have that fluidity i agreed about fashion contribute how people see the choreo. And sometimes a choreo is not for spesific individual style, like moving hips lol some people can be sexy some just don't 😂
I respect ur opinion on Taeyong but will definitely regret when seeing other choreography Also Haechan really grow so much and he really thinks how to make the choreography looks gd And Yuta is so underrated
People should respect his opinion. Thats why theres 23 of them. You will always find somebody you like and somebody less. Thats we used to say with Super Junior as well. Theres so many of them that you will eventually find somebody you love. Its like a buffet hahahaha choose what you wanna eat.
His reaction!!! Must agree Haechan has great fluidity of movements. Graceful, efficient, and smooth. Let's just say that all lead dancers should have been promoted to main dancers at this points because of their growth.
Interesting about his opinion on taeyongs stiffness compared to haechans fluidity. Their fundamental styles are very different, and since he said he leans towards that fluidity, it makes a lot of sense he picked haechan and yuta out. Loved the reaction as always, and I too love that 'unit' feeling you get and the buildup of the choreo in stickers outro
Yuta is one of my favorite dancers and I love his comments about him. Haechan is also amazing and fluid with his movements! This choreo really suits both of them 💚
I think the outfit did not make Taeyong justice, but regardless of it, we know he’s talented af. The thing is, we have our preferences and every dancer has a different execution, so it’s only natural that he’s drawn towards some members more than others! Also, he literally pointed out the ones I usually pay a lot of attention to, and when it comes to execution, Haechan’s is almost always, personally, my favourite (which does not diminish anyone else, of course). Excited to know what he has to say about other choreographies! Sticker was only a taste of NCT lol Thank you for the reaction as always ✨✨
Interesting opinion… I can’t say I agree nor understand fully. I think many people mistake personal preference with skill. I’ll just say 127 does have many members with very different personal styles. But sharp stops/control should never be confused with stiffness. I do agree fashion makes a huge difference to the look/vibe.
Man I appreciate so much whenever reactors notice Yuta, I swear that man is so underrated. His dancing style is so sharp (and perhaps even a bit intimidating) but so elegant at the same time. I always feel like Yuta too has that performing/stage presence quality that Taeyong has, very strong but with a very different vibe. Also yess Haechan really showed more of his potential in this comeback, I’m so happy for him
I kind of enjoyed this reaction. He was being honest, which I respect. I really love NCT’s choreography, but with so many songs, some are going to be better than others. I also believe that when it comes to Taeyong, you need to take into account that he’s injured a lot; especially his neck and lower back, which would cause him to look somewhat stiff. And if I recall correctly, he had what I think was a foot injury around the time “Sticker” was being promoted.
I love Jake. Bring him back. Taeyong's pants are atrocious lol but show him something with him in a different outfit. It's always nice hearing different opinions.
ohh this is different... i've stopped watching reactions when they start saying what the people want to hear this is refreshing, I also often prefer Haechan's dancing since it doesn't make me feel tired whenever I watch him, idk if anyone can understand that
YESS haechan is an outstanding dancer and needs to be appreciated so much more, and btw this is coming from a tyongf and he is right! sometimes taeyong comes off too strong and stiff on certain moves but he's still an amazing dancer
I love that other professional dancers lock onto Yuta and Haechan; As a retired dancer and choreographer I noticed them first as well. Taeyong’s dancing and choreography skills are also top notch.
Taeyong is my favorite member but I think what he may be picking up on, same as me, is natural ability in Haechan and Mark vs learned ability in Taeyong. I think if you were taught to dance you're good at sharp and precise moves but you might miss that 🎇 groove🎇 that comes with natural ability. I also prefer Haechan's style of dancing overall.
I like him!! and i'm a Taeyongf!! he is a professional but also has his personal preferences as he clearly stated, and i appreciate that!! I love Taeyong but i agree with him that Haechan, Yuta & Mark are great in this choreo! You should just show him many more! It will be fun to see if he comes to appreciate TY's fluidity and swag in other choreos!!! 👏💪
Taeyongie has a busted back (😞), and I think does stiffen his waist in particular up when he has flare ups, so I think it’s really interesting when someone with an outside perspective is able to clock it.
Honesty is a hard thing to find in the sea of Kpop reactors so I’m thankful that a lot of your reactors give their honest opinions (I also notice you say “oh” “umm” whenever the reactors say something spicy, I know and you know Kpop stans can be vicious) Something I do want to point out is that when a someone gives their honest opinion without hate, if it’s a criticism you will definitely find haters in the comment section who will use that as a gateway to throw hate on the person being criticized. But you know what Taeyong is still the center and doing well with all his injuries🤣 so haters can eat their heart out. Also this isn’t putting the responsibility of what those people say on you at all it’s just an observation I made.
Hmmm interesting, cause Taeyong really is a centre of centres. Like most of the time Taeyong draws your eye in the best way. But I can see what he means about the stiffness. I think though that Taeyong definitely has a crazy performance quality. Like when he is on stage stage he is electric, Taeyong isn't even my bias, but He and the dreamies got me into NCT.
He only likes the dancers who dance like he likes it the most and then says Taeyong dances stiff 🤡 Tyong isn’t called one of the best centers or dancers in Kpop without a reason. This is supposed to be a choreographer???
@@03synergy calm down lol. I'm a huge fan of Taeyong and I accept his opinion that TY doesnt look the best there cause the fit makes Taeyong movements went unnoticed.
okay wow! tbh i don't really watch reaction videos because it seems like a lot of people just say things to please the fans in recent years so someone acknowledging haechan now in 2022 and genuinely is such a shock! he went from being one of the highly praised ones to kind of slept on even though he has been evolving the entire time! i would honestly love to see you react to a variety of his excecutions like for: boom, 90's love, go, touch, favorite and his latest comeback glitch mode! those choreographies are just so pleasing to watch through his smoothness! if you watch even just one more dance practice/fancam of haechan's I'd be so intrigued to see what you think as to me they are just hypnotising! and i'm sorry for all the condescending comments, the fact that you even have to read them is ridiculous! the nct fandom is extremely divided in subfandoms for each member and some of these people are just too wrapped up in worshipping their fave! someone reacting so immaturely to an innocent opinion is clearly a sign they don't want anything that doesn't fit their narrative! don't let them stray you away from your real perspective! respect to you dude!
11:12 Ugh yikes!! the comment about Taeyong. The disrespect. It's one thing to pick a favorite/preference and it's another thing to discredit and disrespect other MAIN dancer like that.
I actually really like how he voiced his opinion w who he thinks should be in the middle/center and not bc I also think (in my opinion, at least) that there really are just some members who shine better on certain songs BECAUSE BECAUSE ,, taeyong is an amazing dancer, yes, absolutely but like he said, mark really stood out to him so in a way its like, the choreography (for sticker) compliments marks dancing and skill more there than their other choreos yk what i mean ??
yeah and that's what I love about NCT a lot is cause since they do so many styles different members skills come to the fore front depending on the song. Taeyong is amazing. Heachan was super underrated when it came to his dancing for a while. He really does slay the sticker choreo, cause I was the same way with this dance practice, my eyes were drawn to Haechan.
Loved his reaction. It is refreshing to hear honest opinions! There are too many reactors who says everything and everyone is fantastic. Nice to hear a professional option on dancing skills. Thanks:)
I don't agree with his opinion but I respect it :) altho nice to see he changed his mind later on. I think sometimes it really is a matter of personal preference.
I think certain members shine better in different choreos and I especially like Yuta's dance here. I would like to give my honest opinion here regarding your reactors. The way this guy voiced his opinion somehow doesn't sounds like an objective critique. As an example, the dancer who reacted to Ten and Winwin's dance, was harsh and expressed a personal preference too but she didn't came out as biased as this guy. I hope she and others like her react to more stuff
He has no reason to be biased lol. He loved Taeyong in Favourite like I said in writing on camera, he's just expressing his thoughts face value objectively. He still enjoyed many other parts in the choreo so not sure why how he is voicing his opinion doesn't sound objective when he clearly is.
@@Koko3op What I meant was that he somehow SEEMS more biased in comparison to other reactors who have also stated a personal preference. The difference is he doesn't argument his position in technical or even that much of an artistical POV, that might not be the case at all but it makes him look too biased. In other cases you respect the reactor opinion even if it's 100% opposite yours because they have the grounds to fundament their opinions. I've had that experience with almost all your other reactors (who contrary to most reactors on YT, are very straightforward). BTW, this is not about Taeyong, because I know he can be seen as stiff sometimes, particularly on the waist lumbar area and at moments in the neck (and that's understandable because he has long standing injuries there)
While I respect his opinion, he clearly doesn't understand that every member gets a center part regardless of their dancing skill. They're not only dancing but rapping and singing.
I also think the pant on Taeyong don’t let you see his movements that well in the Sticker dance practice but we all know he’s an ace when it comes to dance! I can see why that’s his first impression tho based off of his initial reaction
I think this guy forget that Taeyong a main dancer in nct127 he just said that his the leader and center but not his main dancer position that's makes taeyong stand out
Please show him kick it, boss, Simon says, regular dance practices And I think you should show him more of taeyong Am happy he liked yuta haechan and mark 💚
I agree that Taeyong didn't look as full out as usual in this dance practice. I'd be interested to see this reactor's perspective with Taeyong and Ten "Baby Don't Stop" or "Black on Black" or "Cherry Bomb"
I was rather baffled by his opinion about Taeyong's dance because his dancing makes him stand out positively to a lot of people on the first watch but I guess it's because his preference lies in another dancing style, he didn't like Taeyong in this one. I don't really understand his strong opinion on having Taeyong as the center because everyone who knows how Taeyong performs knows that putting him in the center is anything but 'putting the wrong one in the center' but I'll respect it, since it's, after all, his opinion.
Taeyong being the one who brought me to NCT .... especially because his dancing is just so charismatic that he stands out easily...... Honestly I felt hurt and disappointed about Taeyong being called stiff......i would prefer to say his dance style is more sharp and that's what brings in more to his striking stage presence ....
This is too funny, when he mentioned... Nah this dude in the jeans ain't giving.... cause it reminded me when I first started listening to NCT, I was like... Ughhhhh MARK, how come I can only hear him?! (cause his voice is so distinctive when you're first start listening to a new grp- same as watching them dance), but now I'm just like awwww, baby Mark spittin lines. lol. You're not obligated to fall in love at first sight, but they will, in time, sneak into your heart and build themselves a spot there. LOL.
Not people getting offended in the comment section cause he didn't appreciate Taeyong's dance as much as they were expecting. TY is not God! ofc they would be people not vibing with him... Now let's be real, this trousers of him was horrible!
To be honest as a fan of ty i get hurt of wat he says about ty but i do respect it..maybe he needs to watched more NCT videos..that might changed his perspective about Ty ..thanks;)
Yup, I already wrote it on the video that he changed his mind about Taeyong when he watched Favourite, everyone's choosing to ignore that and get hurt lool for some reason.
I agree that Taeyong is an AMAZING dancer, but yeah they put him in the middle way too much for parts of the dance he's not really suitable for. It throws the whole thing off for me.
This is the first person I've ever heard actually not like Taeyong! If he's super into fluidity, though, it makes sense - Taeyong is definitely more sharp than fluid. But my dude! Don't sleep on Taeyong's dance skills! Show this man more dance practices, stat!
Obviously everyone has there own opinions when it comes to their performance preferences and I have no issue with his opinion of TY (even agree a little, TY has a very specific style and rarely deviates from it)... however, it bothers me when reactors form an opinion 30 seconds into a video and then spend the rest of the video trying to justify their opinion. It comes across as being much more interested in being right, than fully absorbing the content at hand. 😉 But that's just my opinion.
I completely disagree about his opinion but I do respect him as a person who can voice out his opinions. he could at least be respectful about saying his opinion about ty. ty has his own style in dancing. and again i think sticker is something really hard or too complex for new/non-kpop fans to absorb. give him something more simplier. because for me i think someone like him ( a " professional " ) should know how to appreciates other work, styles and moves. at least he should be more open about other styles because DANCING isn't just about how fluid you are or you're movements should always be fluid. as he is the " professional " i think he should know about that, it's simple and basic.
He loved Taeyong in Favourite, like I said in writing and we acknowledged the jeans are probably a hinderance. The end, don't take it to heart, he just liked what he liked movement wise and THAT particular video and that's fair.
I respect what Jake was saying how he likes fluid movements -- me too! And hip-hop can be that way sometimes. With Taeyong, he's an amazing dancer but I do have to point out that his style isn't as fluid compared to Haechan for example, or other dancers. Taeyong's style that he has and has followed and developed is the more "rigid" hip-hop, like the Jabbawockeez, Brian Puspos, Ian Eastwood, Sean Lew if you know them. It's more pop, lock, straight lines... weird angles if that makes sense(?). Maybe watching TY freestyle videos (like Paris in the Rain ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZHtyLsyE4sI.html) you'll see his style but he's soo good! He deserves center lol.
are people seriously getting offended by a dancer giving his unbiased honest opinions? Might you need to be reminded that taeyong was taught everything from scratch when he entered SM, while certain others like haechan, ten, shotaro literally have foundations in dance training, be it ballet, or contemporary or hip hop! And THAT is what a trained eye can make out, intrinsic vs taught! Taeyong is great but even I feel he's sometimes missing that little "something" that makes the other 3 stand out!
I don’t know if it’s just me feeling this way but after watch both of his reactions, his comments seemed to be focused on personal preferences, the visuals of the members/mv, and his preconceived views on Kpop. If he didn’t mention his dreams of performing/dancing as a kid and the comment about him being a vocal coach, I wouldn’t have thought he is a vocal coach or had a dance background. Im sorry if Im being overly critical but he just sounded like any other non-Kpop fan reaction. Don’t get me wrong I prefer honest reactions even if it may sting a bit but I just wasn’t getting the usual insight I have come to expect from your reactors
Wait but how else would someone react if not from personal preferences? Noting the visuals of members and how the mv's look is not a bad thing either, to new viewers it's a lot to take in. He also mentioned his reasoning for whom he enjoys dance wise here, fluidity etc so I don't see anything wrong with reacting as a non-kpop fan, that's kinda the idea right? Is this all because he didn't love Taeyong in *this* and was honest about it? Even though he praised the precision of the choreo as a whole AND Yuta, Haechan AND Mark? Sometimes I think we forget what it's like to be thrust into this genre without much in-depth knowledge and even worse to do it on camera for the world to see. There's definitely room to be a bit forgiving and not hyper critical. I'm not really sure how people want new people to react, this is what you get when it's raw, real honest reactions.
@@Koko3op While admittedly I did initially give him the side eye for his comments about TY (but looked passed that cuz it’s just a difference in preference) but you did say Favorite changed his mind, Also Im happy because reactors in general are starting to notice Yuta. Reactors almost never point out Haechan’s dancing. Mark has more noticeably been really coming into his own in the Last year or two with his dancing/stage presence. So I did appreciate Jake noticing Mark and NCT 127’s more underrated dancers (sry I didn’t mention that in my initial comment) I don’t think I articulated myself properly with the first half of my comment so I could see how it might come off as a butthurt kpop stan. Ignore my mention of visuals/preconceived views. Of course personal preferences generally a part of any reaction. And I didn’t mean that there was anything wrong with reacting as a non kpop fan or personal preferences shouldn’t be a part of reactions. The reason I almost exclusively watch kpop reactions from “professionals”/ppl with arts backgrounds (vocal coaches/dancers/producers /video editors/filmmakers/directors/artists/classical musicians/stylists) are for the more unique insights that comes from their background. Maybe it’s because I usually expect these kind of reactors to dissect /elaborate more and point out small/more particular things that alot of ppl wouldn’t notice. It felt like I was mostly hearing personal preferences with not much insight from Jake. That’s why his reaction didn’t really seem that different from a typical non kpop fan/non-professional reaction to me. Maybe that will change has he is exposed/reacts to more Kpop
this comment section's going to be HOT after this and that BTS one that went up and i know it! This isn't my favorite choreography for Taeyong, it doesn't play his strengths up at all -- so I understand what he's saying here, I really do. Get him to react to Universe and CoNEXTion, maybe? I just want more people to know Shotaro.
not sure if taeyong was dealing with any back issues during the sticker dance practice (he had a herniated disc and a relapse in the recent past) but he definitely has had to be careful in the past so i always keep that in mind when it looks like he is under-dancing compared to what i expect him to do.
No… that one is like their only kinda weak one bc they were super overworked and it was super crammed with their comeback and then NCT2020 and then loveholic.
I try to understand your perspective.. if you like fluidity more than stiffness.. maybe you can see Taeyong and Ten dancing in Baby Don't Stop. If U still say TY is stiff.... than I know that ur preference is really different. 😁
