Honestly, why would you even want this thing called an "Asian" century which required the partnership of China to be feasible and China was not interested in any Asian century but rather a Chinese century, Asian being helpful to the extent it helps mask this? China is far far away from India in terms of democracy, people's right to vote and elect a government of their choice, freedom of speech, transparency. Taiwanese leaders are brave, they don't fear their own people, they allow free and fair elections.
