Brent Boyd played guard for the Minnesota Vikings for six seasons. During that time he sustained multiple concussions and has since become a leading advocate for treatment of Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) among retired NFL players. Now hoping to pilot P.A.S.T.’s new brain protocol to slow the progression of CTE, Boyd must detox from the cocktail of pills he’s taking before he can undergo treatment

Football is going to be over in 30 years. Parents are not going to let their kids play the game.

Debonair73 tbh is it really worth it.? But just like alcohol and cigarettes are on every street corner and a highschool or college in every town it's too tied into our social and ECONOMIC way of life to go away. So drink smoke and enjoy your Friday night lights.

Parents already know now. Most boys want to play. Makes them the cool kid at school. Builds your body up. Parents love the character development it does for their kids. There’s a lot of good things about football.

The saddest thing is in 2020 the NFL is as big and strong as ever. Hopefully in 20 years that will change because parents will put their sons in other sports that won't cause CTE.

Whatever their medical costs for the rest of their of lives.....that’s the MINIMUM the NFL should cover. For real. The owners are all billionaires, so it’s obvious that the sport can afford it.
@brianwalsh1401

Their not going to give them anything. The players will have to take them to court which they have already done several times to get various kinds of compensation.

Healthy diet to clear the gut, pemf mat to relax muscles and open airways for 90 min a day. Then one and half hours mild hbot to get oxygen to the frontal lobes to restore function. It works, takes five weeks plus keep up on it three to five times per week

Felix Culpa it’s as easy as just don’t play dummy as long as people are informed and people during games actually play within the rules there shouldn’t many get informed
@brianwalsh1401
@brianwalsh1401 3 года назад
@@jhonrobert312 It's not all sports but yes soccer also because of heading the ball can cause brain damage. What is wrong with people being aware of any sport that can cause these types of injury and be able to make your mind up about participating in it. I wouldn't encourage anybody to play tackle football with what is known now about brain injuries like CTE.

Maybe the reason this is getting worse is Because All of the Orthopedic injuries like knee, Achilles Tendon, Spine, etc. that formerly ended their careers are NOW only causing Season-ending injuries Due to better surgery and Rehabilitation. So they play ten-fifteen years and get Many More Hits-hence more concussions.

Viewing this of an NFL issue is a mistake. Head injuries sustained in grade school, high school or college sports can cause just as much damage.
@KeetyPooh
@KeetyPooh 8 лет назад
+MsNooneinparticular It isn't that it is solely an NFL issue, the league has known for years. They've withheld information from their players, misguided, and mislead them. Hints as to why they had to settle a lawsuit with nearly 800 million.

An organization that makes billions and billions off of players can't put a little back to help take care of the retired guys? But in a country that treats its military veterans and police officers, firemen, school teachers ect...so bad its not surprising
