I am so thankful for this video. I am applying from South Africa, so getting information from an admissions officer is incredibly helpful, especially to international students
Thank you so very much for this interview! We are in Maine & have a Freshman and Junior who we will soon be navigating the process with. I’m Going to purchase this book right now to read during February school vacation next week! Thanks again!
Maureen - We're so glad this interview was helpful. Becky had a ton of valuable insights to share. Her book is also extremely helpful in giving tips for the process particularly for how best to fill out the common app and essays. If you're beginning the search process for your Junior, check out our College Insights search tool which helps to quickly identify schools where your student is likely to receive merit scholarships or where they will have the best chance of being accepted and in what phase (ED, EA or Regular). I feel so relieved to hear about the importance of the recommendation. My son in a stressed Junior who has no clue what he wants to do. The pressure placed on high schoolers today is ridiculous. Especially after being isolated last year. Very informative. Much appreciated.
College "is" the endpoint for the student's parents. Once a 23 year old kid is a college graduate, they will be less likely to listen to their parents.
