If you're a Seattle sports fan in the 90's, these teams are myths. If you ask them, why don't you follow Nikola Jokic, Luka Doncic? They will tell you that they will try. But they will say that I'm a Super Sonics fan.

The people of Seattle rightly chose not to build a new arena for a group of billionaires. If taxpayers are being extorted to subsidize the filthy rich, then it is best that the city does not have a basketball team.

@@rdrouynriv Seattle has a long history of enthusiastically supporting their sports franchises. That should not be wrongfully interpreted as easy marks for economic exploitation. If a given ownership group is looking for a rabid fan base that will reliably show up on game day, purchase tickets, purchase parking, and purchase beer, then they will find it in Seattle. If they are looking for fools to build a palace while a fully functional, viable venue exists, then they can go to the next Oklahoma.

@@proudliberal605 Agreed. I went to Key Arena for a graduation in 2016. Still don't understand why it was necessary to build a replacement for it. It wasn't falling apart like the kingdome.

And the recent renovations still being paid off lol. We had also just been through the mariners stadium thing, and the hawks were doing a new one. Schultz made a bunch of terrible decisions to get to that point. It was all just too much. @@rdrouynriv

1:30 Ha! The "NBA knows this"... Sonics have been gone since 2008. Talk of imminent return has been annual for at least 10yrs. In the NFL, Cleveland lost the Browns in '96... they got a team by '99. 🤷‍♂️🤬

Climate Pledge beautiful? Key Arena was better. I will never step inside that building ever again. Because of the no cash and the stupid Amazon Go crap.
