Hello everyone my name is Tracy I'm the women in the video. Wanted to say thank you for all the nice comments and the people with negative comments I won't even waste my time addressing them. I had no idea one day on my lunch break I would be talking to such awesome people they are the ones that are great and the stuff they do. I didn't lose my job for this because the place I work at has nothing to do with central state. Even though it wasn't the best place to work I loved what I did everyone there normal or needed a little extra help deserves respect and to know someone loves them very much I made sure they had a great day and great care every day I worked again thank you guys again

Hey Tracy, hope you are well. Seems several comments are questioning your timetable on serving and working at Central State. Could you lay out the years you first started working at Central State, when you ended, and your years in the military? You could private message me on my Instagram account @papa.spooks or send it to me on Messenger. Or, let me know if a more private way for you. Let’s clear it up and not let things get misconstrued as know we surprised you on your break and was probably a bit nervous for us to interview you on the spot. Thanks for letting me know!

@@Tracylee-oj9ct Thanks Tracy, good to hear from you! Thanks for clarification and sorry to even put you in this spot. So many supportive comments and a few not understanding the timeline. The others, the few negative comments we always get no matter what we do, we won't waste any time with as we simply block them as they don't deserve a forum. Again, thanks so much from Colin & I for the interview, thanks for your service, thanks for talking about mental health and these facilities as it truly has been one of the most helpful interviews for the viewers that I think we've ever had on the channel!!

Im disabled due to ptsd, anxiety, depression, agoraphobia, numerous phobias...and when i watch things like this....and realize this would have been my life...i get actual chills down my spine. Ive had multiple stints in mental facilities and none of them were bad...i learned a lot...did a lot of art projects and met people that were just like me which is nice when you feel like youre alone. I was recently diagnosed with a sleep disorder coupled with anxiety. I was warned I’m imminent for a stroke. I had close occasions I could have ended up brain dead. I’ve been locked away in a hospital for a few days and they would not let me leave. I’m not considered insane, they kept me away so nobody would do something to me because I’m highly vulnerable.

I worked for a mental health adult day care. We had a lot of clients that came from these huge asylum type of situations. It was really sad. A lot of times they would try to blend in to the background, not be seen etc because being noticed could lead to abuse by some of the staff while they were at the asylum.....a lot of food guarding and with some you'd have to watch because they would stuff their mouths because other patients used to steal their food so they'd eat as fast as possible. I'm so happy mental health treatment has come so far.

Great interview Colin. I'm glad I rewatched this because I missed a lot the first time around a few days ago. Seems like she has been wanting to share her lived ghost experience for a while and think she appreciated you not judging her or being dismissive. From everything she shared I think she and her daughter have the psychic gift. Just horrific what used to go on in mental institutions and the unspeakable decision soldiers have no choice but to make during war time to stay alive. I just want to thank her for the bravery it took to share her story. Look forward to part two.

They have since been shut down due to negligence and abuse. This brings back so many things for me and I feel so incredibly sad for her to have gone through things like that too❤️🙏 I know for a fact that the place was haunted then and it's now abandoned and I can't imagine how many restless spirits or energies are still there. It was honestly terrifying. If this wasn't down south I would think it's the same place by the story. Building is totally different too but I can't stop thinking about it now...

Your pain is real that I doubt not for a second. Use your pain in a safe way to help those others hurt. A simple can of soda to a new coworker can be blessed pain relief for an example. It need not be a grand affair as so many like to make us think. Forever changed does not mean broken. Many are called but few are chosen. I am quessing that you are now quick to notice pain in a strangers eyes. Also Know a heartfelt smile goes a long ways because you can see how much it meant. Being a voice for those that feel forgotton has been so hard for me until I see abuse happen in front of me. I remeber what I witness. Have said things in a manner that has shocked me many times. ( brain was swearing my mouth was not) All of us who work or worked in health care must never forget that we are mortal humans who make mistakes but others sins we can not fix. We can only hold a light hoping someone finds the way out of the darkness. You got this!💖

Some of these patients were criminally insane. I avoided mental institutions like the plague when I was a nurse. They frightened me. These violent patients have hurt staff & other patients. I don’t think some of these institutions didn’t know how or care enough to know how to handle them. I didn’t like working with the mentally ill. It takes a very special nurse or doctor to be able to work with these people & it is a calling not just a paycheck. Yes, I am very sure there was abuse. You have some staff that had mental problems themselves. Drug & alcohol issues. No compassion nor patience. There is a lot of paranormal activity in these places & hospitals in general.

Wow! Amazing interview Colin. It’s mind blowing to hear of the atrocities that took place in facilities that were meant to “help treat” the mentally insane, disabled, and people that these days are treated ‘out-patient’ with medication, and therapy. This woman is a extremely brave, and caring individual. I have tons of respect for her and others like her that give all they have to be the glimmer of hope and happiness for the people that were stuck inside places like these. It takes a lot out of a person...mentally, physically, and spiritually to see what these patients were put thru. Especially for someone like her who is very obviously a very empathetic and caring soul. Not everyone can do what she does and still able to show love and compassion for the people being treated there. I hope she doesn’t get any flack for doing this interview. She is a very brave soul, and I commend her for being honest and standing up for what is right for the people who she watches over. God bless her and the souls that went thru the tortures she described. I pray that it only continues to get better for the afflicted souls still in the facilities there, that we are able to continue to find better treatments and medicines to help these people without hurting them. The part she spoke about the cannibalism that went on while she was there gave me chills..especially putting human meat in spaghetti? It really made me wonder what people allowed this to happen? I don’t KNOW, but it seems to me that the people who made the food, would most likely be staff, and not the patients, so the staff knew, yet still served this food to the people there. It’s mind boggling and crazy to imagine what else went on there that she didn’t see. I pray those souls stuck there are able to find peace in their afterlife.

Tracy did not lose her job. We talked about that at length before the interview, she wanted to talk. She actually responded below under a comment by James Burk jr, to protect her name it is Tracy Lee. She states, "I didn't lose my job thanks for the kind words" She doesn't work for Central State Hospital, she works for an unrelated nursing home. She needed to talk, it very much bothers her. She offered for us to stay at her home as well. Please know she is fine and states it below.

Knowing that people with mental health issues (people like ME) were treated like this really breaks my heart. I’ve been in psych hospitals (as a patient and as an employee, believe it or not) and honestly, we still have so much work to do. We’ve come so far in the mental health field and we’re finally starting to treat people like human beings with legitimate illnesses, but I’ve seen so much negligence and unethical practices being put into place because lots of people and even some professionals don’t treat us like we’re people. Mental illness is scary to witness but I can guarantee you it is scarier to experience. Colin, thank you for these videos. My skin crawled hearing about how these people were treated but it made me feel even more sick when the dude in charge was talking about how everyone was treated with dignity and that they did good work there. I’m sure many people had good intentions but good lord, institutions like this were horrifying for centuries, even being terrible as recently as the past 50 years. Thanks for exposing this, I think the people who were basically imprisoned here have some sort of justice now because you interviewed this brave woman. I hate that so many of these patients are probably stuck here because they were buried in unmarked graves after being tortured in life...sorry, but again about the guy in charge; you think that a dignified funeral and death rites makes up for a life spent being abused? That doesn’t sit right with me, at all. At least acknowledge what happened. Thank you again Colin, great videos.

I was a patient at central state hospital in either 2002-03 when I was in my early teens. I remember this woman if I remember right it was right after I was put in a ward she basically told me not to cause any waves if I wanted to get out but she was very kind...and day shift people were assholes. I was only there for about a week the hospital where lived had me admitted to central state and had mislead my mother into signing papers giving up her parental rights. Somehow she fought against it and got me out in a week. I was taken by police escort in the middle of the night and it was already a ghost town then. Not a nice place very happy to be on the outside.

Yeah that was an awesome interview. Although when she said she's not sure why the Paranormal and had been following her, probably because one she's probably a psychic medium and doesn't know how to go about idolizing that and the proper way. Although she is in a not scared to do what she's doing for one so that that right there is a great start + 2 like she said a lot of people don't want to talk about it because they don't want to be deemed crazy well the more people that hear talk about it out in the open and other people experience with their experiencing right there will show that they are not crazy. But yeah that was a damn good interview I can't wait for part 2

My guess is that the guy is under contract not to say anything that could shed a bad light on the place? But this lady is free to speak her truth. I'm sure if she was let go that would prove her statements were true, plus with as much credentials/ experience she has, she would be able to get a fantastic job anywhere.

I live in the community near Central State. He's on the Board of Commissioners so he probably has the influence to speak with her Supervisor if he doesn't like this interview. There's a couple of buildings that are still operational on the grounds and she "says" she works in one of them. I don't know...I have my doubts honestly. There's a nursing home on the outskirts of the grounds. I'd be willing to be she works there and she just wanted to be on camera. I saw some crazy things at Central State but this is a little TOO outlandish.

I sourly in a State Hospital, and it is a Level 5 Forensic Hospital. Basically that means we have some very bad people who are criminally insane. I have seen some SHIT! This hospital was opened in the 1950’s. One day, when this hospital is vacant, it will be well worth exploring. 👍🏻 The stories I have are beyond belief. Someday I’ll be able to share those stories like this lady did.
