Hugh Hefner’s Playboy Mansion, located in the Holmby Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles, not only hosted celebrity-filled parties but was also a home for models in the Playboy community.
lina safar / A runner from one of Nike’s teams spoke out against Nike and their abusive team. Rather than focusing on the speed and health of their athletes, coaches and trainers focused on weight instead. They used tactics like publicly weighting teammates in front of the team to humiliate them. it made the girl extremely depressed and unhealthy. None of the coaches or trainers were really certified for what they were doing it is really just an all around bad situation.
is it kinda deaning tho, let just putting girls on display, obviously anyone that would visit wouldn't come just to have 'conversation' with a playmate
And the wemon didn't look fake with plastic surgery. Each Playboy girl's hair was fixed different: styles/colors & not that frosted blonde hair where they look all alike and sound alike now.
Remember, for many years Bill Cosby was an interesting and beloved personality. The Cosby Show, Fat Albert, classic comedy albums. That is why all the shocking and disgusting revelations about all the assaults were so shocking to so many, where as someone like Weinstein was always rumored to be a sleaze.
She did say that, but she also said you didn't have to be, and that you could interact with guests however you wanted to if being an object all the time wasn't your preference
the women that were interviewed made it clear that they were there networking and having fun with other girls but clearly were not coerced or went to the shady after parties.
@@kitsiewr No, the kids there were exposed to everything. Just read a book by a girl who grew up there, and she saw s*x for the first time when she was 6, as well as seeing people snorting coke every day. Really sad to grow up in that atmosphere.
This seems heavely sugar coated! This is why I love Holly Madison's book and her truth and time at the mansion. All these women seem seem like they dont want to step on any toes and remain on the good side of Playboy.
If you read the book, you’d understand the difference between her and the other women. What she talked about was quite different compared to these women. Different roles at the mansion too.
Well, what are the sketchy parts? You can't just accuse them of having some sketchy catch and not actually back it up. Sex, Food, Money, and maybe drugs. That's all they covered. This honestly seems amazing. And considering how they said there was heavy security, and a way to instantly get security to you, can you really think of any drawbacks?
@@destinyelle7120 and ignorant has a negative connotation, It's not negative for the oc to assume that all playmates were white back in the day... because everything was centered around white women in terms of sex appeal and beauty
Back then, it seems all you had to do was dress sexy & have that it factor to be a Playboy bunny. Fast forward many yrs later, the wemon have to dye their hair a certain color, change their appearance by altering their boobs, behind and so forth to meet the requirements of being in the play boy mansion/ so forth. Also the play boy bunnies had many different ethnicities that was really exotic/pretty!
@@HelloKitty-jb4oi What's so eww about exotic. And I mean in today's standards of being a play boy bunny, the weman is blonde so I think that's what they have to have hair as. Didn't say nothing is wrong with dying your hair 🙄
@@ceeset5472 I think they meant it's gross to call diversity aka anything that isn't white 'exoctic' especially when they're american born... ik you didn't mean anything by it but calling other people exotic is kinda weird
"I don't think at your twenties you're thinking of your future", somehow this makes me feel so sad. I'm 17 and I'm already think about college, my job after college and even retirement. I've been thinking all about my future that I forget to live my present. Just looking at these happy people and feeling depressed about my boring self...
you don't seem boring. You seem like a thoughtful person. Learning history from you tube. American Playboy documentary on Amazon Prime. Interesting, fun, and informative with fantastic music.
You still have yet to figure out what's going to happen, that's the exciting part! Life goes in really unexpected directions.. I had the same thoughts as you, but at 30 I can tell you it's incredibly different than I ever imagined lol
Oh my - PLEASE don’t feel jealous of these people! You have your act together so much more than them! There is no glamour and happiness there, it’s all rather pathetic. It’s a mirage. Do things the right way, and make good, lasting friendships based on mutual respect. Yes, relax a little and have fun along the way, as you also find a path of meaning and discovering what you want to spend your life doing. Enjoy life, it is good. REAL life is good. The Playboy Dream was/is just a fantasy filled with smiles and everyone trying to convince themselves how great and fun it is. When I watch this, it’s like I’m studying lab rats. This was all about striving to be cool and hip and telling everyone you knew that you partied at the PB mansion. For women, it was also about wanting jobs, attention, money. For the men who visited… well, I don’t need to say what they wanted.
Gosh I am so jealous of you tbh.. I wish I could be a teenager again and really plan out my future.. because I was aloof and just messing around even after college, I feel like I wasted years of my life. Seriously, be in the present, but you are not a boring person and trust me- you are responsible and are so blessed to have a straight head on your shoulders to think about your future. Trust me, put the work in now so you can have even more fun traveling and exploring as an adult!!
The original video vixens... that’s why it bothers me when people act like all this “insta modeling” is a new modern time thing... sis this a lifetime thing
I believe in a world where women can do whatever they want. Wanna be a lawyer? Go ahead Model? Sure Astronaut? Yup Sex symbol? Conpletly fine Doing it as a choice...
Not everyone has the same experience. Some people had their experience others had their own. People want different things and will treat situations a certain way and that will change the outcome.
I dont think these women are true liars.Sometimes u get so used to abuse u see it as normal and u dont focus on it so much plus this is only a small group of women that worked there. There were probably hundreds or more women working there so not all of them were probably abused especially if they weren't the ones on top who didn't live in the mansion and would just visit.
Mary Preston So you’d rather dismiss what they said as “being used to being abused” then just believe what they said as legitimate? There are women who had positive experiences stripping, Nene Leakes off top of my head. And this is like very high class stripping.
Im assuming these women were not describing their experiences with hue hefer as creepy because they were dealing with a younger hugh that could not be mistaken as their grandfather 😂 am I wrong???
I think you are right. The Hugh of yeasteryear truly was considered the fun and interesting host and then many felt he fell in to a place of sad self parody as the years went by.
I can tell that some people might feel as if they are "objectifying women" but they seem to have fond memories of it. It's a balanced relationship, it's not like the men kidnapped these women and put them at gun point. Also I'm not doubting that there could be some behind the scenes stuff that we don't know about (and maybe they don't know either), but we shouldn't shame these women for having fun.
@@s.s5933 Yes, if they enjoyed it and was happy what's the problem. Most girl suck dick off useless jobless wankers who can't even by milk nowdays 😂👏 at least if you did it in this situations u get shit for it 😂👏
See this is completely different from what Holly was talking about when she was living in the Playboy mansion and she became Hughs girlfriend she was saying that he was controlling she was uncomfortable and she felt like she had no identity
A few things have been filmed at the real mansion over the years. Maybe Heff felt it was good publicity. A way to keep playboy relevant. Especially as the years progressed and attitudes about the adult entertainment began shifting and the mansion started feeling kinda creepy and eventually sad.
its nice to know they have good memories in the mansion as playmates. at least they dont have regrets instead good memories, this means theyre treated nicely and satisfied during their time. that's nice of mr. hefner he makes the women enjoy their moments in the mansion.
@@kitsiewr Not really. Watch the documentary series « Secrets of Playboy ». Some really bad, criminal, abusive, scary stuff went on. With Hef’s full participation.
I had a girl friend that was a PMOM. She was very well educated, and no fool. She had nothing but positive things to say about the experience, the mansion, and Hef.
I heard that the Playboy Clubs and both Mansions in the days of yesteryear were considered the heights of fun, great food, great entertainment, and sophistication. I guess it started to fray in the 90s, but apparently in the heyday it was magical
People focus on how "degrading" it was but in reality it was liberating for these women. They don't have to worry about money and all they have to do is to be pretty.
If that's how you define liberation, then I guess every married woman who doesn't have to work should consider herself lucky. I mean, I do personally, but I know a lot of people would take issue with the sentiment.
I think when we liken our well-being to just being pretty, it becomes problematic as beauty is not forever. So what does a "liberated" woman do when her beauty fades? After a decade or more of partying, she'll have a lot to learn about self sufficiency realll quick.
@@xtiphuny89 The point is that when you're still pretty, sell it. Get as much cash as you can. Use the money to invest on a lot of things, buy franchise, investment, skill lessons, etc. Get experience, get connection, the point is that you can get money without much, imagine if you have much.
@@xtiphuny89 What I mean by Liberation is economically. Imagine don't have to break a sweat and get money transferred into your account, and you don't have to do it all the time.
@@AlexS-oj8qf I get what you mean. I'm countering it with the perspective that being able to work may actually be more liberating. And somehow I doubt that all of those women knew the importance of networking and saving money. Maybe they did, I don't know. But I know of lots of people who, when they lean on not having to work, it sets them up for future problems.
Having seen all these parties with celebrities & being the 70's. I wondered how much blow was used to fuel these events. Looks like some wild times there.
I love that she admitted "you are an object--that was the plan" what we've collectively never said out-loud is that women can be misogynists too. If we show up on a pole, in the PB mansion, etc, etc., we're participants in our own objectification. She had the guts to...ALMOST..say it out-loud
You can tell PR played a big role in this production. PR is really the dark side of communication because of its only function is to talk highly of the company paying them.
I was invited to the Playboy Mansion to test as a playmate. I thought I would just go, have photos taken then leave with a bag of money and little bit of fame and therefore would no longer have to wait on tables in order to pursue my career dreams as artist. Their interest in me was probably enhanced by my having done portraits of S.F. Mayor George Moscone and California Lt. Governor Mervyn Dymally. Bill Cosby was at the door just waiting for the next new arrival, me. He had brought with him, as a guest of his, an airline stewardess and of course he had a wife. I wasn't interested in him for those reasons alone. As was mentioned in the video, there were playmates and prospective playmates there that were more beautiful (prior to the common plastic surgery of today) then I thought people were. One thing that struck me early on at the first party there that I attended was an extraordinarily beautiful girl was sitting in a corner, sort of in a slight state of shock and sorrow, and everyone was ignoring her. Intuitively, this told me something. Another incident, after many of my clothes were stolen from my room in the mansion (with the "Deep Throat" actor Harry Reems' room on one side, Bill Cosby's on the other and across from a short hallway to Hef's room) it was suggested during breakfast that I go to Rodeo Drive and get some new beautiful clothes. When I said I could not afford to shop at Macy's, much less Rodeo Drive, a number of persons looked at me incredulously and exclaimed, "You don't need money!" On another occasion, also during breakfast with around 6 others I asked what time it was. The response by a couple of them was something like, time! what does time matter? In the dining room was a painting by Salvador Dali titled "A Woman Sodomized by Her Chastity." In front of Hef's room was what was referred to as a bronz butt, but was actually a sculpture of the top half of a penis where one could leave little notes to Hef in the slit at the top. In the hallway was a cabinet filled with figurines of couples copulating in all sorts of positions. Late at night I would hear running around in an upstairs attic, or floor. Being pitifully naive I asked a former playmate what the deal was because the process was taking a rather long time among other indications that all was not what I had assumed and came for; they get to take beautiful pictures of me to appear in their magazine and in return I leave and go on to become a rich and famous artist. She described a circumstance that would unfold in the cave-like hot tub with Hef, Sandra (his most frequent girlfriend then), another man and me that that was to include the women together sexually. She said if I go along with the foursome I would wake up the next morning to find a diamond watch on my bureau. Sure enough, soon after we had that conversation I was invited by a friend of Hef's (who I had hooked up with for safety) to go to the hot tub and events began to unfold just as she described. Needless to say, there was no diamond watch on my dresser the next morning. Many of the girls there seemed to comfortably fit right in, reveI even, in this environment. However, it was not at all suited to my personality. I was initially given a two-way plane ticket and flew home to unemployment and even greater poverty, and fewer clothes, than when I had arrived. I've always felt that I never walked out of the Playboy Mansion able to get on with my life completely independent of them. It probably was not one of my better career advancement ideas.
@Jazzy Munkers I own one, too, but don't live there -- years ago, all the units were rented to expensive call girls. The fellow who ran the business was a friend's father.
@@Duke_of_Prunes so did they keep most their cut since they were renting or did they have to give a percntage after seeing a client to the house on top of the rent? Out of curiosity, was this known as a brothel by most civilians, or was it hush hush and for those in the know and clients came through referrals etc?
Used to hit the Key Clubs, dance palaces, night clubs from San Diego, LA, to San Francisco mid 70’s to early 80’s. A blast back then. You guys now don’t even know what your missing. This era sucks. Glad I was young back then.
I've literally seen no angry "feminist" over here, in fact more often than not with any YT video involving women I see some boring drooling incel with a generic "LOL FENMIIST AMIRITE??" post but they probably couldn't even define one outside of daily wire videos.
