Haven't watched an nfl game in 2 years. 2 years ago I saw 5 seconds of the super bowl half time show. That was enough. As some "elite's" have said. " If you don't like it, turn it off." I Did. Haven't regreted it 3 years later.

Miss amy I know you don't get along with Mark Davis and I know I'm dreaming but can you come back work with gruden when we fire Reggie Mackenzie and hire Lincoln Kennedy as GM and make Tim brown or Charles Woodson or other raider greats player personal reps and or locker room executives if I ever owned the team this would be my move bring back tradition establish the once a raider brotherhood again

If "Al Davis doesn't tolerate dissent" is incorrect, then why was Al Davis screaming at her when she told him he was wrong?
@cesarcanete3402
@cesarcanete3402 2 года назад
I think she meant to at a point where a disagreement w/ the boss will immediately lead to being terminated. Al wasn't the best leader to be in charge of a franchise or any type of business (specifically in his later years) but at least he isn't awful to at a point where he lets his pettiness & ego get the best of him. He's made many terrible decisions, but he isn't as bad as Michael Jordan. I honestly can't of a more terrible sports owner than Michael Jordan. Fantastic player, but as an owner, MJ makes Al Davis look like George Steinbrenner lol

Businesses go out of their way to hire women and minorities, especially in NY where I live, Xerox for example went out of their way to hire people of color even if they happened to be the wrong person for the job or less qualified...I worked in a room with two Russians, 2 black women, a white Jewish woman, 2 Hispanic males and two other white males....this was early 90s...in NY it’s far easier to get hired if you are a woman or minority. Businesses will get sued if they don’t have a certain number of minorities. Sure NFL is different but women don’t play football

As a Raider fan, I wouldn't ever work for al. I actually hated Al davis when I was a kid. Working for al in the 70s & early 80s was great. 1986 - 2011, horrible.. its like playing for a guy who can't let you do your job. It felt like this guy was a dictator. Just ask marcus Allen, Tim Brown, Mike shanahan and & gruden. PS: I'm not saying names but I know some and met people who were close in the Raiders organization.. Al was not a nice guy. His ego got to him.

Amy Trask likely was part of the problem in Oakland. She was too much of a yes-woman who 'disagreed' with AL but only in ways that were 'safe'. To really disagree with AL was to be his sworn enemy. Substantive disagreements with AL would have resulted in a firing.

this woman was the raider's ceo for 16 years, during a time when the raiders were the laughing stock of the nfl (although they did make a superbowl appearance, but then the following year they resorted back to mediocrity or abysmal play). ever since she resigned in 2013, the raiders have been prospering and are now one of the teams of the future. coincidence? hmmm.
@harrygarris6921

NFL CEOs are in charge of the business side of the franchise... Advertising, branding, managing staff member salaries and contracts, TV deals, stuff like that. They have very little to do with team structure or the product you see on the field on sunday.

...you do know what a CEO is, right?
@gmony1552
@gmony1552 7 лет назад
Anybody who followed the Raiders during that time would know the problem was Al Davis, not anyone in the front office. He would fire everyone after just one or two years and would take players based on his heart not based on what his people were telling him. Combined, this meant that nobody could install their system, right or wrong, because they didn't have the time to put it in place and couldn't get the players they wanted. He also made questionable decisions like taking a kicker in the first round, overdrafting speed players like Hayward-Bey, and taking bust of the century Jamarcus Russell first overall just because he played well in a bowl game when his coach was lobbying heavily for Calvin Johnson. He torpedoed that organization for years, and only after his death were they able to rebound as they allowed a guy (Reggie McKenzie) to execute his vision and what do you know giving a guy enough time/right to do as he pleases actually works.
@usmanioa
@usmanioa 7 лет назад
Yeah she was such an effective executive right? That's why she no longer is an executive and is now working as a tv analyst of all things. So why would a CEO responsible mainly for business/ operations now work as a football analyst which requires knowledge on the x and os the game? And last time I checked, i thought the CEO of a pro team has the final say in the hiring of the team GM and head coach and communicating to them the type of culture that needs to be established throughout the organization, especially the locker room. I'm not trying to pick on this woman ( not that her feelings are hurt). I'm just trying to find out why this particular nfl executive from an under forming era of raiders football is being glorified and being talked about getting into the Hall of Fame. Just curious.

Sounds like you need to do a lot of research on her responsibilities, work and the Al Davis hierarchy to back up your blind assumption. Seems boring tho. Just know that Davis was the one who plagued the franchise at the end with HORRIBLE and long contracts. Took a long time for Mckenzie to work through it all
