Michael Piwowar, Former SEC Commissioner, and Karl Roessner, Former E*TRADE CEO, discuss the meme stock madness, as Roaring Kitty's return sends shares of GameStop surging.
The Wall Cheat Elite at it again. They act like cry babies if Retail Investors steal their play book. This is a battle worth fighting to take back control of our money and power.
When Robbinhood temporarily stopped letting us buy GameStop three years ago…stopped using the platform and I think a lot of people did. E*trade better be careful
@@sethwagoner3430 He’s another genius who thinks only Robinhood had a magical button to halt these gambling stocks, while Charles Schwab, Fidelity, and E*TRADE just sat on the sidelines, sipping tea and enjoying the chaos. Because clearly, Robinhood alone wielded the mystical power to freeze those 'precious' stock treasures. How silly of us to forget that brokerages and index committees have always paused trading during extreme volatility. Truly, you've got to admire their unparalleled intellectual prowess.

Yep, every single day. Naked short selling and fail to deliver and never any consequence. Absolute c riminals . Market manipulation to s teal from retail is allowed and happens continually. It's ok to short a company into the ground and never deliver shorted shares. But let's ban a retail trader. Absolute c orruption.
Work Roaring Kitty...work. These trading platforms are manipulating the markets and Roaring Kitty is beating their tricking the system and..."they ain't happy" about it. Roaring Kitty is a pioneer. A visionary. All hail Roaring Kitty. Keep hitting these brokerage firms.
Former Commissioner Sir, and CNBC is like to point this comment at you as well. With all due respect, how is people posting on social media market manipulation but you sitting here showing retail what stocks are pumping so they can fomo in to stocks like Best Buy, Black Berry, Koss who are heavily shorted by the same wall street funds that short companies like Gamestop and AMC, even bed bath and beyond, or everyones favorite Toys R Us. Thats right short sellers took your childhood away not bad business or retail demand. And they are trying to take away more of the things that are deeply rooted in our culture. Malls are gone, they want to destroy to movie industry and the gaming industry. So you mean to tell me what you are doing is not market manipulation? You atspreading misinformation and giving retail investor FOMO or FUD. If anyone needs to be investigated it’s you the regulators and you the media. DOJ is watching, the CAT is watching, the People are watching, and the Kitty well the Kitty is about to unravel the broken system and best to close those bearish bets.
Market manipulation ? This channel and its guest talking heads do that all the time . Give us a break . Only the established financial heads get to take advantage of the system ?
So the SEC would change the rules further to help Wall Cheats. That doesn't surprise me. When Keith Gill when live they halted GME 17 times. How many times do the halt dark pool trading?
At 4.22 Former SEC Comm. seems to suggest that these retail investor is doing the same thing what the Institutional investor had been doing all along and that should not be allowed ? Why ? They can make the market and the individual can not?
GME has several thousand leases that expire over the next year or so. Great opportunity to cut cost and transform into online auction house for classic games and consoles
I think Gill is a gambler, I think he has come back to the kettle one last time. I do think he manipulated anything more then what the institution’s when they go on these platforms to promote a business. Why the double standard
Regulator's should be investigating the companies shorting GME. You can't turn off the buy button just because your short position is in the red. They want to "address" people acting in groups "just like HEDGERS". The hypocrisy in that statement.
Trying so hard to make RK out to be a criminal when he did nothing wrong. All while completely ignoring the financial crimes that RK was exposing... complete BS take, as usual.
Can someone from CNBC o a regulator can explains to retail investor's, how a person can buy and take a position inside gamestop or any stock knowing that days later he will create gossip about a video and the frenzy manipulation of the stock and then the stock go up and he can cash out pretty fast 58 millones in less than a week, every transaction should be on record, if this is not manipulation and fraud, What else can be?
Publicly showing a position isn’t illegal-transparency is encouraged. Keith Gill doesn’t tell anyone or ask anyone to buy or sell any stocks. Also, posting Beavis and Butthead memes on Twitter is also not illegal. Citizens are allowed to buy any stock that they want. Period. Regularly citizens don’t have dedicated shows on TV literally telling people what to buy/sell.
@4:17 What this guy is failing to acknowledge that its NOT JUST RETAIL INVESTORS that were buying up or buying call options on the stock. There were actual HEDGE FUNDS that were involved as well.
@@wallstreettrader1 Trading is not the problem. Ask Buffet, Diamond, and many others why BTC is a fraud. All you have to do is look at the most prominent proponents. MS is about as rank as they get, and he is the king.
i used Etrade its garbage, they are going after RK because essentially they are very jealous of what he has done and this is a petty retaliation action
Absolute corruption. Naked short sells and fail to deliver and no consequence, EVER, continually rinse and repeat. Collusion and c riminal organization. If there are only 100 Porsches in the world and I get to sell 500 of them to retail and never deliver the other 400. Until they are worthless and then I close my transactions. That is the stock racket, I mean stock market. But let's ban a retail trader.
