I fail to understand what his family has to do with HIS actions. Especially if the family you're speaking about is a wife and kids. Just because HE messed up doesn't mean that his innocent wife and kids have to be punished...
And our courts are packed. An unbalanced court is never good, especially when these hundreds of new judges are extremists right up to the scotus. In the near future, I see police getting even stronger protection, and the people losing more civil rights.
The judge got paid off I know a thing or two his attorney probably told him the judge kid got a kid that needs college tuition of a certain amount and if you scratch my back I’ll take care of you. They will never do this with a Hispanic person they’ll throw you behind bars for the max and the judge gets paid for sending you to prison. That’s why as soon as I see the blue lights I pull it over put my flasher on turn the car off and place my hands out the window and stay still and if asks for license and registration I tell the officer what I am going to grab. I know I got pulled over in apex for a tint on my license plate that I didn’t know it was blocking my plates when he told me I was I’ll take them off while you are watching me let me off with a warning and I took that cover off after the stop.
The judge or the DA. In fact the justice system and law enforcement as a whole is seriously flawed! The law states that you are innocent until proven guilty but that usually only happens when you do not appear "threatening". That usually is based on skin color!

Unfortunately, it is the city/state (his employer) who gets sued & settles; not him personally and whatever settlement is reached, the terms clear him of civil liability.

After watching two videos of his webcam, he is clearly corrupt and guilty. He should be serving time (PERIOD). Justice was NOT served. He should also be charged for all wrong doing caught on his webcam with other innoscent victims.

The judge said this guy has saved with honor his community, wtf, when a criminal kills, robs a bank, shot people's in the street, and may have committed his first crime at that time. Nothing that he gad done in the past just by being a citizen should not receive special credit. Served with honor and integrity is the minimum we should expect from every law enforcement officer. Taking incosideration, his past performance for a soft sentence is wrong, and this doesn't represent a good spirit of the law.
I just watched the ABC11 video of NCHD dash cam footage. Made me physically ill to watch. 6-8 troopers piled on top of him and bludgeoned and kicked him, like a pack of rabid dogs, fighting to squeeze into a space to beat him. All you can see is repeat punching and kicking. I really hope all of these so called public servants meet up with someone someday that pays them back.

I'm am an 80 year old black man that is afraid of cop's for this exact reason.I carry my 45 under my right leg and will let the air out of any cop that tries to pull me out of my car.I have lived my life and I'm going for broke.

Cops always seem to get very lite sentences and I don't care that its hard on his family. Cops should be held to a higher expectation and when they break the law should be 5 to 10 times harsher than the public gets. That needs to change.
He excepted his plea deal because going to trial was risky . These violence minded cops seemingly get the best deals in town yet they have a propensity for major violations of the laws in our country yet they get these deals it's shameful.
