Great video. But Ground War is definitely not FREE from SBMM. I maintain a 30-80kd almost every game using vehicles, streaks, point whoring and have many strong players in my lobbies that are level 1250 and go 30-50 to 0 on the other team. I recognise the same people, I one guy I found ranked 172 for kills with a 3kd. My lobbies get noticeably harder the longer I play, but are still ‘easier’ vs core modes.
“Streaks on alMalik International don’t do a lot of damage”. Chain Wheelsons together (like 3 to 5) and each Wheelson will get you about 10 to 15 kills average.
Love all your content. Definitely would like to see some ground war SNIPING from your mindset. I know you said it's not optimal but still entertaining and informative
I play in the modern warfare 1 ground war lobby and I've found a lot of aim bots. Guys that just fire at the sky or at the ground and hit you across the map , getting 100 kills every match and not even moving that just stand and shoot the sky it's insane .
About sbmm in ground war - i really hope they removed it recently bc my gw lobbies was so bad in terms of connection and time to assemble it i thought im shadowbanned(altho im not). Around a month ago I borrowed my friends account to test some things about sbmm and in ground war there was night and day difference between my main account and "low skill"(around 0.7-1kd in 10 recent games) one. With another account i was getting way better pings and way better times to find players as well as way easier lobbies in general but it depends on a time of day: if i look for a game in reasonable times - 6 to 11pm in weekdays and 2-3pm to 2am on weekend i was getting a mix of players but it was quite easy to get 100+ kills and high killstreaks in almost every life, altho im most cases 2nd places in both teams was just barely reaching 30-40 by the end of the games, but if i look for the game outside mentioned timeframes its usually sweatfest because all normal people is sleeping or playing regular gamemodes, pings was good as well. If i use my main account its sweatfest in almost every game(maintaining kd around 1 is like fighting for your life lol) no matter what time of the day and i was getting way more players with 100+ ping in general. Maybe im just unlucky but in my experience there was quite strong sbmm in gw and invasion as well.
I noticed this only when I was leveling a friend's account, that the first game felt like a "protected bracket" type of lobby, but other than that, the actual variance between skill levels outside of that seems very "normal"
I really like playing Ground War when I get low ping rates, but it's like every once in a full moon for me rn, usually I keep getting put into 180-250ms lobbies for some reason :/
Appreciate it! As for partying up, I stopped partying with any of my friends due to how there are millions of ways for players to spawn in this time around. I find having too much killing potential on the map can lead to quick defcons or just not enough kills around the flags. As you remember from MW19, multiple people could work spawns as that was the only way for people to really play the map. This game, not as many players utilize flag spawns due to the heli and millions of transport vehicles and such. So I only play solo now (been doing this for maybe a month or two now with fill disabled to prevent non-ghost users from spawning on me). As for viewing things live, I sometimes stream on here, but I also wanted to branch out on twitch as I have some content creator friends over there I can easily raid and stuff.
I was playing all the maps the other day and I have some questions. I feel like I can't get any sort of rhythm going for a few reasons. The enemy team and my team essentially had one giant stalemate with every weapon class imaginable. They had snipers watching the flanks, there were shotgunners in the hidey holes to catch people trying to push up and there were assault rifle players watching lines of sight and not moving at all. I tried to flank, I got a few kills and died. I tried to use cover but they still got me. Inside my head I was thinking "Well, I tried sitting in a nice position with closed off angles and I didn't get a kill for an entire minute. I tried flanking on the complete outside of the map and in cover and that didn't work. I don't think I have any options that are going to catch anyone off guard or win me any crazy gunfights." I don't know what to do. I move? I don't streak up and die. I sit still and hold down an area? Nobody shows up. I don't understand how to beat that. They don't need to have good aim or positioning when there are 8 guns pointed at one dude, which is me. I try to stay closer to my teammates? Same thing as when I held an area nobody came out. I feel incredibly dumb lol. Like really I can nuke against sweats in tiny maps but I can't get anything going in ground war? Not the player I expected to be after how consistent I became in MW1.
