Bryan Danielson absolutely deserved that title match and victory. He’s been through hell and back, but he still fights without giving up in sight. I’m so proud of him. I’m so happy for him and his family. I’m so pleased that we can now call him the AEW World Champion. Matt, how is Bryan when the cameras are off, is just as humble as he is on camera?

This might be a lengthy comment, so apologies in advance. Here's what I thought about All In: 1- This was a statement made from AEW. Yes, they drew more people in a year before, but if you compare the same PPV from last year to this one you can easily tell that 2024 was an improvement across the board. The pacing was so much better than in 2024, the wrestlers took their time with their entrances which made them look more like stars, and last but not least the matches were ordered exactly how they needed to be. I wouldn't swap the order in any way. 2- Women were prominently featured in this PPV, and that's always something great to see. 3 matches throughout the show, including cameos from Mother Wayne and Karen Jarrett who were involved in spots that were entertaining, at least to me. 3- If I ever want to convince somebody that AEW is worth watching, I'd go tell them to watch Danielson vs Swerve. Call it recency bias, but that main event ticked all the boxes for me for what represents a perfect wrestling match. Just like how many overlooked the issues with WrestleMania XL because its main event delivered, the same can be said about All In 2024. Whatever issues I have with All In, more on that below, the main event overshadowed it with absolute ease. Swerve lost but looked like a bigger deal coming out of it. Danielson finally wins the AEW heavyweight title and gets to embark on a reign that might be short but will be packed with feuds that we all want to watch. Everybody benefited from that main event, and that is exactly how main events should be booked. 4- My least favorite match was Jericho vs Hook, and even that wasn't too bad. People will absolutely hate any match Jericho is in, but for what it is the match against Hook was okay. Hook got to win his own title basically, and by the looks of Taz's latest tweet it seems that the title will be retired which will give Hook a great opportunity to be involved with better feuds. If this was the last ever FTW title match, then I'm completely fine with. 5- Mercedes vs Britt was underwhelming for me, although it picked up steam towards the end. For whatever reason, I just felt that Britt wasn't too much into it from start to finish. Maybe the suspension played a part, perhaps it's a lack of chemistry, but it is what it is. On the flip side, the match showed us how great Mercedes is because she carried the vast majority of that match. Truly a superstar whether you like her or not. 6- Mariah vs Storm was perfect, from the start of their feud until the very end. I hope there are more chapters for this feud, although I'd love to see Storm take a break of sorts while Mariah build up her legitimacy for a month or two feuding against Thunder Rosa for example. 7- Ricochet's debut was absolutely not wasted. He debuted in the right match, and did just enough to tease us of what he can do. I LOVED that Christian won because nobody expected it. Not everything has to be expected months in advance. Danielson is a babyface, Hangman only wants Swerve, so Christian is a nice choice as an egotistical heel. With that said, I hope we reach the conclusion of the Killswitch / Christian story sooner rather than later. 8- The coffin match was perfect. For months people have been complaining over the scapegoat gimmick claiming that Perry hasn't really done much since his suspension. He just beat Darby, convincingly, in just around 10 minutes, in a coffin match. Darby never lost a coffin match before. This legitimized Perry for me. As for the real glass spot? Watch it again, see the reaction of the people around the ring, listen to the "Cry me a river" chants, and tell me that this sucked. It didn't, the fans ate it up, and that's all what matters. 9- Having the GYV debut after the triple threat tag team match was very welcomed. The tag team division needs a revamp, and having new teams showing up is just what we need. 10- MJF is probably the best heel in the business, and he'll only get better. His match with Ospreay was so well crafted and I'm genuinely interested to see what he does next now that he lost the title. 11- The crowd was a 10/10 for me. Sometimes a hot crowd can elevate a mediocre match. I have rewatched Danielson's entrance a million times already, and I get goosebumps every time the crowd sings "IT"S THE FINAL COUNTDOWN". It was just perfect. 12- While the production has genuinely improved since last year, I still don't like some of the random camera cuts that felt distracting at times. I hope they address that moving forward.
