As a recent former yoga teacher of 7 years - she is bang on. I could tell you so much. First of all, it doesn’t even matter if you’re practicing traditional yoga like hatha, kundalini or more modern yoga like flow/vinyasa classes - it is all the same. They are different branches from the same tree. You are still invoking this ancient demonic practice while just ‘stretching’ at a modern hip yoga class. I used to teach all over my city at 3 different studios. My classes were always full. The interesting thing is the same people would come every single week and often would call my classes their ‘church’. I would feel so great hearing that. My ego loved it - I thought I was helping these people. .... Another interesting thing no matter what style of yoga class you go too, the common denominator for every single class is savasana at the end - a pose where you lay motionless spread out for 5-10 minutes meditating. What’s interesting is the name savasana translates as ‘corpse pose’. So after allllll of that body movement, opening your body up with these postures that were created to worship & honour hindu deities (whether people are aware of this or not), then everyone collectively lays down mimicking being dead. Then after in a traditional yoga class you usually chant after that. If you’re just going to stretch - let me tell you there is no way that this will not start to affect you negatively. Usually after , you are hooked and you need more and more and more. Soon it’s the only thing that calms you after a hectic week - not God - but you’re yoga practice. Then soon after you just can’t relate to people you know because they aren’t as ‘in tune’ as you are , vibing like you (you jokingly say to your family/friends that they need yoga), and then you start to distance yourself from those who don’t get it. The phrases start to rub off on you, ‘we are all one’ for example and ‘a reflection of me is a reflection of you’ then you know you are caught up in new age religion . My point is: it’s a very very very slippery slope. All of that peace and mindfulness you think you are attaining is ever so slowly taking you away from God and your prayers... and instead makes one self obsessed with what they need and how to find it within, instead of in the Lord. I hope this can help someone who is confused about the slippery slope. Great video 👍🙏

You talking with Angela back in fall of '22 helped me escape my new age addiction. Astrology, numerology, brushes with Occultism. Michael, I was already beginning to recieve the Gospel, was in awe, and was becoming aware contextually of how my Heavenly Father actually layed things out, and I was gaining perspective on the meaning of all this. I now am getting to know my Lord and Messiah Jesus Christ, to whom I owe everything! I understood the point of all this just in some notion. And this was an incredible breakthrough. Angela's convicted testimony showed me exactly what I'd been needing to cut off!!! I've had other things to iron out since, but I've been clean from new age and it's all thanks to Angela and me realizing I needed to pray for Jesus to pull me through, and worship him and my Father alone! I now only see my devotion and worship being due to Christ, his way is everything. I love Angela's podcast, Heaven and Healing, it is a favourite and is such valuable discourse!

I used to really love yoga for the ‘physical’ relaxing benefits…UNTIL….my dtr-in-law bought me a cool new yoga mat that had the wording at the top ‘I am fearfully and wonderfully made’. A lot of the other participants loved my mat asking me where I got it. I then started noticing two of the yoga instructors really began to treat me differently and were down right rude to me. These two also started adding playing this strange organ type thing, sound bowls, brought in a big gong, and brought in Kundalini yoga to the studio (which I never took-but took notice of) I then started feeling really anxious when at the start of classes. I realized in hind site God was convicting me to get rid of this practice. Then one day the instructor said to bow to Ganesha. Instantly I got it. I refused to bow and never went back. This was about 10 years ago. I repented once I knew and understood what I had done. The one instructor started her own studio offering astrology, channeling, and Kundalini yoga. I am very grateful for God interceding for me through my Dtr-in-law buying me that yoga mat. I also noticed the very real negative affects that were going on.

This is spot on. The darkness that came into my life through yoga is difficult to articulate fully without sounding like a crazy person. But I would wake in the middle of the night(usually around 3am)and feel like there was a presence in my bedroom. This went on night after night until it got to the point where I was fearful of going to sleep. By the grace of God I was able to out 2 and 2 together (eventually)and saw that this was coming from yoga. So I stopped practicing yoga immediately and got rid of everything from the new age. The night terrors stopped and never returned. Yoga is an open door to demons, I know this may sound extreme but if you practice yoga my challenge to you is to give it up for 3 months and remove all things associated with the new age from your life. I guarantee you that your life will improve in every way.

@ianwelling8114 You ever heard the expression "you protesteth a little too much"? If yoga truly has brought joy into your life you wouldn't have felt compelled to reply to my comment and attempt to contradict what I said. The truth is yoga has brought darkness into your life, you just haven't put 2 and 2 together and see this. But if you really want to see the truth if what I'm saying, try this......give up yoga for 12 months, just 1 year. Don't practice it in a class or at home. Get rid of all yoga related items you have in your home(put them into storage outside of your house). And thats yoga mats, blocks, books and anything to do with the new age, remove it all from your house. And don't practice meditation. See what happens when you do this......I guarantee you all hell will break loose in your life. And what this will be is the demons behind yoga(because it is demonic) will reveal themselves to you and attack you because you've blown their cover so to speak. Demons are very clever, especially those connected with yoga and the new age, they masquerade as "spirit guides" or Hindu "gods" but they're demons. Like I said, give up yoga for 1 year and you'll see this for yourself

How exactly does yoga invite in demons? Where does the bible teach these things? If you teach something you do know 100% is true, you are a liar. She doesn't know factually what she says is true, she has not sciptural evidence to support these claims. Most Christians actually do yoga without even knowing it. You ever use the prayer hands position while praying? Well... this is actually a yoga technique, known as the anjali mudra. It's not mentioned even once in the bible. Did you feel you are opening door ways to hell while praying, because you used this yogic hand position? Ofc not. There is an awfully huge body of science showing how beneficial yoga is. If it's so "demonic" why is it helping so many people? One of the most hypocritical things in the world, is peole who drink liquor, and then say yoga is evil. Anybody with eyes to see that liquor opens doors to demons, that's why I don't mess with the stuff. Never heard of someone doing yoga, and going home to go beat their wife and kids. There is no such thing as a "yoga instructor," this is some made up American stuff. A yogi is an ascetic, essentially a monk. They renounce all worldly posession and dedicate their life to prayer, meditation, and helping the poor often times through healing.

You realize yoga as it's originally taught is a meditation. The yoga with movements and poses was made long after. Here's a response to asking if the original yoga had any poses or stretches. Nope...not even a headstand. In fact, there is no evidence of a traditional practice of yoga postures handed down intact over millennia. In total, there are about 200 yoga poses in modern yoga. However, the oldest yoga traditions count just a few, and they are all sitting poses for meditation. This yoga as some demon summoner is bull cause all the moves and poses were made up and don't have to do with yoga.

What if, instead of yoga, the Hindu religion liked jogging? Would we say it’s demonic for us to move at a certain pace? “Well, you can walk or sprint, but NEVER jog! The word Yoga comes from Sanskrit word "Yuj" which means to "yoke" or "union". It's a word that can be used in many contexts. Yoga Asana is the physical practice of yoga where one unites breath and movement together. The practice of Yoga Asana is a secular physical practice designed to improve our physical health. Many people in the West, when they think of Yoga that's what they're referring to, the breath-movement practice. Breathing deeply, stretching and strengthening the body is healthy. If Yoga Asana isn't your jam so be it! But if you practice Pilates know that the creator, Joseph Pilates drew from Yoga Asana and Tai Chi to create Pilates to help WWI Vets.There are so many beautiful people from around the world that contribute their own unique cultural gems to the collective of humanity. If people don't want to practice Yoga Asana that's okay! But labeling Yoga Asana as a form of demonic worship is extreme, uniformed, and xenophobic.

Your comment demonstrates your ignorance of Yoga. No Hindu will tell you Yoga is exercise. In fact, to the Hindu, to say so is insulting and disrespectful to this religious practice. It is a deeply rooted spiritual practice, and those roots are the Hindu gods. If you have not read the Vedas or the Upanishads as it pertains to Yoga, or studied it's origins in detail, then you have no idea what you're talking about. In fact you sound like a typical leftist, hurling insults without any knowledge of what you're talking about or the facts of what's being discussed. Calling the former Yoga teacher "uninformed and xenophobic" in all honesty just makes you sound idiotic. Xenophobic people don't take on the practices of people from other countries because the very definition of the word says they are prejudice against it. And to call the former Yoga instructor uninformed? Yep, that makes perfect sense, even though what she broke down to you in the video can be found in the Vedas, Yoga's source writings. Please grow up, get out of your feelings and do some actual research on the topic before you go insulting people who obviously know more than you. Practicing Yoga is demonic because there are no other gods but Christ. All others are demons. To practice Yoga is to worship other gods, to worship demons. You don't have to like it, you don't have to agree, but that's the reality. I highly suggest you read the Vedas for yourself so you can at least have some knowledge on the subject.

@@desertrose0601 (I’ve posted this on another comment, but I believe this would be beneficial here too). I was always taught you cannot separate the “physical” from the “spiritual” aspects of yoga. Yoga in Sanskrit means to “yoke” (unite/connect to something). Yoga was never meant to be used as a sole physical exercise but rather as a “physical” way to connect to pagan deities in the Hindu religion (which has hundreds of “gods”). How this applies to your question regarding if just doing the “poses” is okay…I’ve included the below statement from a website - /won’t let me post it…but it speaks on the origin of some of the poses used/. “It’s not just a bodily pose, or even a series of bodily poses. Rather, it’s more than that: the term yoga means “to yoke” in Sanskrit. This “yoking” connotes a spiritual unity, rooted in a kind of servitude. Now, Christ calls us to bear his yoke (Matt. 11:30), but what kind of yoke does yoga put on practitioners? Or in other words, what kind of servitude does yoga bind its practitioners to? We can start by looking at the poses. Take some examples: The three-part Warrior pose invokes the god Virabhadra, who was created by another god, Shiva, to murder Shiva’s father-in-law. The three poses imitate the sequence of the murder. Matseyadrasana and Gorakshasana are named after Hindu gurus who founded the style that led to modern yoga. According to the foundation legend, they used their occult powers to commit theft, adultery, fraud, rape by deceit, corpse desecration, the murder of Matsyendra’s son, and cross-dressing. According to the founder of Rasa yoga, Sianna Sherman, Goddess pose “invokes” the dark goddess Kali, known for making clothes out of the body parts of slain enemies. Yoga devotees sacrifice children to her in India to this day.” I hope this helps in your discernment as to whether to continue with yoga or not. They are other alternative stretching poses that do not offer homage to pagan deities that one could do. + God Bless +

I think this is one of those grey areas of freedom of having stronger faith to eat meat or drink wine. Because based on the former yoga teacher's logic, if someone started a new cult or religion to worship demons by the act of driving, does this new religious practice now monopolize on the act of driving and therefore it would be forbidden to do so? I guess all Christians can't drive anymore once someone develops this religious activity in hopes of contacting demons. She made a point about intent not mattering and that the reality is whether you realize it or not the practice itself is bad but I think intent IS what matters here. Prior to hinduism being invented, were the yoga stances were okay by her logic? The form itself intrinsically has no evil in of itself, but what it represents, but if you go based on that precedent, any new made up forms of practices that have bad intent can now make it immoral to do anything. Can't have it both ways, if this is the precedent you want to live by, that any false religious practices are off limits because of what they represent for SOME groups of people, that dictates what you can or can't do as a Christian and if someone starts worshiping a false god by driving, therefore driving or any other practical activity can be made off limits.

i'm only 6 minutes into the video and i'm really interested in the topic but listening to Angela, what i hear is this is about one belief system fighting another and vilifying another. that's it! she reinforces her own belief system against the 'falsehood' of another so i find that pretty dishonest intellectually. Hinduism is for Hindus. Christianity is for Christians so what is this discussion about a Christian _destroying_ and vilifying Hinduism which is the religion of millions of people? yoga (as was read from the website) is an Eastern practice that was adapted to Westerners which is _why_ it invites demons, not because it is inherently bad. Christians blindly believe in the veracity of the scriptures and that is another intellectual weakness. blindly believing in anything written by God knows whom is like putting your soul in custody of somebody you've never met and whose real intentions you really don't know. when you know the New Testament was written years after Jesus' death, maybe it would be wise to research into who that was...Saul, after all, was Jewish and a Talmudist. do you know who Talmudists are?????... also, the cross she's wearing around her neck. look into that. i won't say more but _do_ look into that! so basically, she's right, yoga invites demons but not for the reasons she claims. yoga is not for unawakened, unconscious people who couldn't care less about their spirituality, the spiritual health of their souls. yoga is for masters, real yogis, and those masters are in India, not in the West. according to various trustworthy sources, Yeshua traveled before he started preaching and one place where he traveled was...India. he stayed there many years and he was a master yogi. he also traveled to Europe, Gaul (France) and Britain where he became a druid. i know Christians have a very hard time opening up their minds and yet, they have so much to learn from authentic sources that are not new age but truly enlightened. i was born Christian. there is love, peace, 'redemption' outside of Christianity and beyond the scriptures. Christianity is not the be-all and end-all of the Divine world. Angela is extremely polarized in her worldview, it's either / or. meeting God means also meeting Goddess and as long as you push Goddess away, you will need to demonize some things that seem evil to you, thus alienating yourself from truth. thank Goddess, our Universe is much more subtle than religions claim it is. remember religions where created by humans, by men who where not necessarily mentally healthy, to say the least... If you're Christian and would like to learn more, please read the comment. I'm a practicing Hindu from India and I've been following Daily Wire and Michael for the conservative values and even find the catholic content shared on the channel to be quite meaningful. It is true that Yoga is a spiritual practice with physical benefits and not the other way around. Though this lady seems to be sharing half knowledge which is dangerous. It is yet another problem with yoga teachers in the west taking an aspect of our culture and teaching it without having an understanding of its origin. She shares that Brahma is the creator therefore He must be the Christian God and Shiva being the destroyer must be the devil which leads to the natural conclusion that Yoga must invite demons. She fails to mention that Brahma, Shiva and Vishnu are the Holy trinity in Hinduism, the three manifestations of the Supreme Spirit. They perform the different cosmic functions of creation, preservation and destruction. If the message in this video was that practicing yoga is incompatible with practicing christianity, it would make a lot more sense. It is just naive and paranoid to assume that an entire culture of Hinduism is dedicated to the worship of the devil. I mean no offence just felt like sharing what I knew to break away from echo chambers and share in the marketplace of ideas, I can elaborate further or answer questions. God bless you folks

People in the west often conflate Yoga with the physical postures, however there are four paths of Yoga (union with God) described in the Bhagavad Gita which share the same goal - 1) Karma Yoga (Path of Service/ Righteous action) 2) Gyana Yoga (Path of Knowledge) 3) Bhakti Yoga (Path of Devotion/ Worship) 4) Raja Yoga (Path of Meditation) The goal of the physical postures is to help aid one pointed focus during meditation. Of course, there are spiritual powers, known as 'siddhis' one gains by the progressing along the path of meditation but these are described in the Gita as distractions from the ultimate goal Edit: Gyana spelling correction

Parvati took on the wrathful form of Mahakali to slay the demon Mahishasura. Speaking of black magic, every religion in the world has followers who develop esoteric practices which are practiced in secret. They don't represent the essence of any religion. For that it is important to refer to the scripture If we are to take symbolism from one religion and look at it through the lens of another one, you are bound to arrive at wrong conclusions. For eg: The snake is used to symbolise the Kundalini Energy and the snake represent evil through a biblical lens. And if you take the symbolism of wine in christianity, it is bound to look evil through the lens of another religion

Similarly I would do the same in the West who practices rituals in pentagram etc. My mum converted to Christianity solely because her religion ( animism and shamanism) practiced witchcraft. Coming to wine, not every Christian sect drink wine just because it is symbolic but wine has been used as a metaphor for jesus blood. It's the Catholics that take metaphor literally and drink wine ( on a daily basis) Because Catholics tend to merge local customs and traditions ( including local witchcraft) into Christianity. I just happen to like eating steaks at the same time, and that doesn’t make me a partaker in their religion or their beliefs. But in themselves, they're just making a noise with your throat and mouth. So I don't see how you can say they're inherently a prayer, any more than you can say any sound the human voice can make is inherently a prayer, or otherwise inherently evil. Same applies to language in general. There are no inherently "bad" words, but there are plenty of ways to use words badly. And same goes for technology and so on and so forth.
@sweetxjc

It’s bad for the same reason that praying to another god is bad. Someone can claim that it’s just a bunch of words put together. There’s nothing wrong with words, right? So it’s not big deal. God wouldn’t care. But most actual practicing Christians would agree that reciting prayers made for another god is bad. Regardless if that person is not reciting it religiously. Yoga is a set a poses made to specifically made to worship Hindu deities. No one is saying stretching is bad. In the same sense that words aren’t bad. But when you’re doing a ritual that is for another deity it becomes evil and sin. You don’t have to do yoga poses the way they’re laid out. You can do other stretches and still get the same results. I think the question is why it has to be yoga. Why can’t the people just stretch especially if you get the same results? The attachment to yoga is weird especially if they’re knowingly doing poses that worship other deities. Is yoga that important to them, if all they’re looking for is an exercise. It’s definitely spiritual for them, under the surface. They go to it for peace, instead of prayer and Jesus. It’s an idol they have that replaces Jesus. Overall bad for spiritual health.

I am in a state of doubt what to believe, because i have always felt good practicing and have never had a negative experience like some people describe here. But i also don't do any other things like tarot or astrology. It never felt right. You could try forsaking yoga based on its Hindu roots, and take up another form of exercise with stretching! Swimming is a good option for being slow and relaxing. I went to a yoga class a couple of times and while I made excuses for it, I remember little things seeming weird like the instructor saying to face the East, and the fact that it took place at sunrise and focused a lot on breathing and meditation. The thing is, we can’t integrate or become more fully ourselves to escape our brokenness and sin. Christianity teaches that we have to go to Jesus for healing from sin, and no amount of understanding ourself better or quieting our mind is going to fix it. Keep leaning into Jesus! :)

You’re going to have that “doubt” because that’s the trick of the Devil. When I took all of the “new age” out of my house, I threw my tarot cards into the firepit. All of it. I couldn’t bring myself to light the match because I kept justifying trying to keep them. “They’re really cute! What if I just keep them for decoration? I won’t use them”. I must have pulled them out of the fire at least 5 times. That’s when it clicked for me. Why couldn’t I let go of a deck of cards? What have I REALLY been doing that I have such anxiety over something this silly? I was so wrong. I went into storage and got my Bible out, and it hasn’t left my bedside table since. Where my crystals and incense used it be, now sits the Holy Bible. I’m so grateful I trashed that stuff and gave my life to Jesus.

In fact I believe calling meditation and energy body practices or yoga "sinful" is incredibly harmful and essentially disarming a tool from people who have and continue to use these practices to demonstrably benefit their life and connection to god. The realization of this type of extremist belief system played key part into segmenting humanity into atheism, It may simplify the existence of many but those who preach extreme ideology ultimately create a parasitical toxin that by nature must be the one and only truth.

Mindfulness as part of DBT(dialectical behavior therapy) has nothing to do with light and love. It's something that every human should know and be able to do. It's just being aware of what's going on with yourself, learning how to calm down when upset, basically just learning how to be a productive, functioning member of society. It means being someone that isn't so caught up in every emotion you have that you can't function- as so many people are these days.

So my alternative to drugs is moderate exercise, cardio and daily yoga and stretching. It started as physical therapy for an injury but now its a habit and one of the frw things that keep me mobile. My intention was never to worship anything my entire relationship with streatching is to heal injuries that make me not mobile and it has worked. Accusing people of demon worship for stretching and physical therapy especially when it helps with their health issues seems unusually cruel. I dont know anything about demons but i can tell you all about when i can and cant walk well because my injured muscles swell. For reference i was in a car accident in 2014 and i still struggle from the injuries and the only way I am even able to walk is through stretching. The way you lose the baby weight is called giving birth. It's not the "baby weight" you were trying to lose if you had already given birth, it's your own excess weight. Don't blame your baby for it! If you take advantage of pregnancy as an excuse to eat twice as much, fine, but then don't complain, and don't blame your child. And by the way, doing yoga, or any other type of physical activity for that matter, is not the way to lose weight. Eating less crap is. There's no need to gain weight (on top of the baby's) when being pregnant. You just have to eat healthily and _stop eating_ when you feel full. The human body is a tremendous machine, especially a pregnant woman's, and it won't tell you to stop eating until you _and_ your baby have had the food you need. Listen to your body. Funnily enough, that's a thing yoga teaches you to do. Maybe you should have done yoga. It's not too late!

Kundalini being raised up is the Bronze Serpent being raised up by Moses, just as the seed or SON of Man is raised. It's like saying Moses' staff was demonic simply because there was a serpent on it, completely ignoring the context of that symbolism. The bronze serpent raised up on the staff/pole, as instructed by God, is literally their salvation from the fiery serpents who were attacking them. Kundalini ultimately represents the creative energy in all things. Worldy indulgence, as in sexual gratification = bad. Raising it up to the mind, the Father at Golgotha (the skull) = good. That is the purpose of yoga. As it's being raised, any stresses or tensions keeping us down, from living sinful indulgent lives, cause blockages which may result in spontaneous movements, increased bloodflow, and sensations of intense heat. These are the fiery serpents, which must be removed for the Kundalini to raise. This also correlates with the baptism of fire spoken of in Matthew. Nobody who isn't baptized with both water and fire will enter the Kingdom, and thats something Christian fundamentalists really need to think about. Kundalini is the bronze serpent. It is the seed, from which the kingdom of god grows within us. The result IS the real Holy Spirit. Certain elements of the New Age movement, which are quite worldly and materialistic, misuse & misrepresent the practice, but in truth Kundalini won't fully awaken in someone without embracing a holy life. The counterfeit Holy Spirit is what you see in the charismatic/pentacostal Churches, where snake oil salesmen pastors pretend to speak in tongues, induce ecatatic mental states in their congregation, pushing people over, pretending they're healing, etc. right as they pass around the tithe basket. Theyve made the Church into a den of theives, just as the Temple was in Jesus' time. Fundamentalists always mock what they don't understand, because they they lack discernment.

The only fundamental problem I have in the interpretation is the elimination of nuance as even a factor. You should not do yoga as a practice per se. Certainly not in it’s current form in the culture. But the movement of yoga is only spiritual when done in the spirit of yoga. The act of Stretching and posing is not demonic. It is in the practicing of yoga’s spiritual elements that it becomes demonic. Which begs the question of whether or not it is yoga or simply stretching. But I think it needs to be stated that doing a cat and cow stretch to help your back is not demonic

I watched the whole video to see if there were any legitimate criticisms. This whole conversation is just woo-woo cop-out nonsense between two people circlejerking each other by making seemingly OH-SO-BOLD-AND-POLITICALLY-INCORRECT statements that American Christians would LOVE to hear, but in reality, if you ACTUALLY sit down to tease apart what's being said, it is just FEEL-GOOD NONSENSE and there is ZERO justification for any of the arguments being put forward. 100% of the arguments made in this video are presented to be "self-evident," when it's not (e.g., Jesus is *the* way - whatever that's even supposed to mean). I don't even want to get started about how much of a cop-out it is to start leaning on cherry-picking random verses from the Bible rather than actually making a valid argument. After around 15:30, she uses "If the wine is pagan, the fruit cannot be holy" as if it's some sort of reasonable justification to her argument. But it's not. Because I can also pick another Bible verse that means the exact fucking opposite. From Ezekiel 18:19-23, "The son shall not bear the guilt of the father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son" can be used to get across the literal opposite meaning. Biblical verses are NOT meant to be used as an excuse/crutch for your inability to argue critically. You gotta ARGUE for your points, not just state them, which makes this whole thing a weak, tribalistic take. This guy is an insult to Western civilizational thought and makes even Jordan Peterson look like a serious philosopher. Expected better from modern American (wannabe)-cultural influencers.

While I completely sympathise with the discussion and the views of this lady, I want to clarify the point about inviting demons. The demons or the negative energies are seen as manifestations of our cardinal sins who put barriers in spiritual growth of a person. Another way of looking at it is that they are the tests that a person has to pass in order to attain Nirvana or Moksha(liberation from the world). People who jump to practice without actually studying about the path and the dangers associated with it, are usually the ones who get terrified by these experiences and this is where the guidance of the Guru comes to rescue. So, yes advanced yoga is a spiritual practice and people should only engage under the supervision of a spiritual Guru, not Yoga teachers like this lady. P.S- Only Asanas are not sufficient to awaken Kundalini, you need to go deep in meditation to do that. Asanas are generally used to obtain a body that can handle such powerful energy as Kundalini.

For a couple of months later I heard in my own voice saying: who are you soluting? Who are you letting in your body? Research yoga. Niyamas the five observances: Purity Contentment Zeal, austerity Self-study Devotion to a higher power (what’s stopping you from having your higher power Christ, The Trinity?) 3. Asanas: postures (Stretching) 4. Pranayama: Mindful breathing ( You breathe pretty much do breathing every second of every day. What's the problem with simply bringing your awareness to the fact you are breathing?) 5. Pratyahara: Turning inward (Self-reflection is a big part of Christianity. Being aware of your sins and holding yourself accountable for them, asking God for forgiveness requires the ability to turn inward, self-reflection.) 6. Dharma: Concentration (What's stopping you from concentrating on Jesus Christ, The Father, the Son, The Holy Ghost?) 7. Dhyana: Meditation (What's stopping you from meditating on Jesus Christ, The Father, the Son, The Holy Ghost?) 8. Samadhi: Union with self and the object of meditation (If the object of your meditation is Jesus Christ, where’s the problem exactly?) I watch Micheal Knowles daily. I think he is a great role model. In my not-so-humble opinion, this wasn’t one of his best works.

It's very simple. If you have to stretch a muscle, stretch. That's it. No yoga involved.
@ismarril

@@jaydub7386 I think I can see where you're coming from. Please consider the following: One may do yoga to seek health benefits, but that's not what yoga simply is. Does it bring health benefits? Yes. But yoga is not simply stretching. It's a religious practice that involves many things - including stretching. From a logical standpoint, marketing a spiritual practice as stretching is, well, a stretch. It's simply not just stretching. Imagine the following: an indian travels to Italy, lives at a monastery for 2 years, then goes back to India and opens a studio with a practice called "Agnus Dei". People ask him what it is. He says "it's exercise", and proceeds to kneel like a monk and do the sign of the cross, then pray the Our Father in gregorian chant. "It's pure exercise", he goes. "You develop you back muscles and thighs after kneeling so much, and your shoulders for doing the sign of the cross. You also achieve mental accuity and peace of mind after meditating on the luminous mysteries of the rosary for twenty minutes". Celebrities start practicing it, and soon enough therapists are recommending the secular exercise of Agnus Dei and praising its wonderful benefits for body and mind. We now have moms all across India carrying their babies, rosaries and monastic garments to studios around town. Does it seem fair to you to market this as exercise and health practice? I invite you to take a step back and really analyze what the promoters of yoga actually did in the west. Perhaps they weren't malicious. But they were certainly greedy and careless. (btw, I'm not saying every yoga teacher and enthusiast that came after is the same: those are blameless as much as their ignorance) To sum up: you can't do these things without engaging in a religious practice. If you want to stretch, stretch. If you want to be a religious yogi, do yoga.

New Age deception is bad. Yoga is prayer. Reading is not inherently bad or good. It depends on what you read. Like wise stretching is not inherently bad or good. What your mind is focused on determines the result. Jesus also said keep your mind focused on God, which also runs through the Old Testament. Read , follow and meditate on the words of Jesus.

I tend to agree with most of the content on the daily wire but the fundamental christianity is rather hilarious at times. Especially when they attempt to label peaceful conteplative practices from other religions as evil. I wonder what they make of talking in tongues, chanting and all the various forms of ecstatic religious practices and experiences that take place within various Christian traditions? I expect they are all perfectly fine because Jesus.

wanna know the truth? because yoga camed from the true religion of god and christianity see the devil as god and god as the devil. daemons simply meant spirits in greek. every gods that are not jesus are the devil according to christianity. because jesus or yhwh the jealous god wanna brainwashed humanity and hate to see them evolve. and jesus the devil love to make them think that without him there is no savlation. "for god love his world and son so much ! that he put him into a human evelope just so he can watch him die ! all of it, without even letting him know. it is that his death have a magical redemption impact on you, because you believed in the book that say so. and it will extinguish ALL SIN" that it ! jesus does not die to prevent a war or anything just, there is no justice in him. he died because he said that his death is redemptional to your sin. while in reality he was just condamened by the romans and did not what lie he can make up his mind with. if this god named jesus is really real ! he could only be a devil ! he did this cross belief and "the blood of jesus will save you" only to get humanity brainwashed. - Jesus will wield a sword when he returns for judgment day, christians does portray him as a violent figure. - Christians should accept Jesus and suffer for him in order to escape demons, gremlins, monsters, and hellfire. - God, in order to manifest on Earth, impregnated a human woman to give birth to a 100% humanified God. - Jews will betray Jesus and the Romans will execute him, but his death somehow magically extinguishes sin. cause this simple execution is in reality all the sins of the world that jesus carry on his cross while he is crusified he is not put to death because the romans sentenced him. but because he somehow magically extinguished sin by dying. god is so much great and so smart and love you so much that he sent his only son to die without letting him ask his choice "father why have you forsaken me" but somehow his death is magical and save ! read john-13 he still is god ! (jesus ret*rded logic) - the book of Revelation claim that only the elected or those who believe in the man-made book will be saved, while others will go to hell.

I have been a Florida State Licensed Massage Therapist for over 40 years and a born-again Christian for over 25 years and I was extremely skeptical of any New Age practice long before becoming a Massage Therapist. I have been opposed to Yoga for exactly the reasons explained in this video. I agree that it is so difficult to talk about this even to most Christians. Thank you for exposing this practice.

I’m a group fitness instructor, and go out of my way to tell people that my Wednesday mornings class is NOT a yoga class, but just a good full body stretch class. We don’t get into ANY weird “spiritual” stuff, we just make sure our bodies are staying mobile, especially since most my students are seniors. The most we do is some deep breathing exercises at the very end to help with relaxation. But I’ve always make sure my class doesn’t really look like a yoga class.

@@lexiefate6815 I wouldn’t. Just stick with plain old stretching. It’s great for your body, as we all tend to be pretty stiff and immobile nowadays. Especially our hip flexors and spines. Keep those moving. If you want videos to follow, just search just for stretching, don’t use the word yoga.
