19:55 The AI will construct a new tooling workshop if a single level would be more profitable than increasing the size of an existing workshop. Local wages are generally a larger factor in the early game than prices, so new factories are essentially caused by having underdeveloped states.
Max Stirner is the German philosopher who created Egoism, basically a highly individualistic anarchist ideology. The central idea is that every human should act in their own best interests at all time, and that this would free humanity from being bound to artificial sources of control. it's certainly one of the ideologies of all time.
So... Basically modern capitalism lol. Without the threat of police or military intervention, I'm fairly certain it'd devolve into militias versus anarchs. Maybe I'm being a little melodramatic but still.
Nice run. Ideas/Thoughts for next run: - Improving relations with german minors is less important early game (except for Hanover, etc. and getting an Alliance with Mecklenberg so you have a land border with Holstein to invade in the first war. After you beat Austria to be the only unification candidate, easier to get them on your side early. Better use of early game influence is improving relations and (if your economy can support it) bankrolling France, U.K. early to make it easier to sway them to your side in an earlier war with Austria. - Liberating countries from Austria can make getting them down to a secondary power easier and make it easier to get them to support you as unification candidate. Liberating Hungary/Bohemia in Scheleswig-Holstein war if they oppose you or in the unification candidate war is a good way to make unification/the next war easier. Better use of your sways than swaying Bavaria to your side. Better to take war reps for yourself - For Schleswig-Holstein war, maybe start with conquering the top state and liberating Holstein + pressing your claim? - if you ever wanted to collab with someone or just have a friend who can play the role of Sardinia-Piedmont, they can build up a strong resource industry to feed your economy and join you in wars to take the Italian parts of Austria during your own war(s) against Austria - After unifying, what about liberating (as subject or independent) non-german parts of Super Germany (Croatia, Slovakia, etc.) - can have some fun RPing a bit and lining your border with friendly allies in your market/sphere of influence. Or help you build up allies like Italy, maybe Hungary if you don't want to invade them. Can also build up romania, Serbia, etc. if you want more friendly countries around you Invest more in colonialism (beelining Quinine) and overseas expansion early. - leaving yourself on Local Police force early helps give the run a somewhat more historical/RP feel by making you have to deal with the Junkers. Switching late game to militarized police force is better anyways for Germany, unless you can get up to Level 5 Dedidcated Police Force before 1900 - I like invading Kathiri as the first war - thanks for that idea! Same with your companies - once the navy is big enough, invading Merina kingdom can be really helpful early game. They have decently big logging camp potential, along with dyes and other more "tropical" resources prussia doesn't have early game. - recruiting more generals for the austria war lets you look for ones with good offensive traits/famous prussian generals which makes the war easier - maybe not for prussia, but a longer, over-explain game/stream on a state like Japan to explain economic concepts like MAPI, etc. would be good/fun to watch! - when I get nitroglycerin, usually I just switch Silesia over until I have more explosive factories, then in states with a unique state trait for mining throughput bonus. I don't switch over my other mines to save the pops, and then switch them all over once dynamite is available. Also - it seems like paradox needs to find a way to make prestige a resource you care about as a player like it was in Vicky 2. Same with stockpiling weapons for wars.
Max Stirner was a german philosopher, a student of Hegel who wrote a book called "The Ego and His Own" which is an exposition of his nihilist egoist anarchist philosophy.
To put it more clearly than I feel others have, private queue builds based on productivity, not based on throughput bonus. The AI doesn't "know" that the throughput bonus will be added after it builds on top of a previous building, so it doesn't "know" to calculate based on the increased throughput bonus.
ludi i found the great nation to play with, Dutch east indies have all basic resources and they have plenty of them, have the best tech for production, economy, and military. And with pan nationalism u can become independent from dutch and form Indonesia.
Knowing there's a new Ludi video for Victoria 3, it's always a coin flip if it's a prussia let's play or not 😀And I like it 😉

Amazing run! For now I was playing USA and run for custom union in both americas, with Mexico as my tributary, and so I did. I need to try some Prussia game :) Great job!
I assume (I haven't looked it up) that the private construction just builds the most profitable buildings so in the case of that random tooling workshop I think the ai thought "Hey there aren't any tools here and the price is slightly higher I should build there"
If you felt that private construction was bad, it's currently bugged in this patch. They get a bigger percentage of the construction than they are supposed to. It's particularly bad when you need gov. Admin buildings, as private queue doesn't build them.
play as france and make the industrialists powerful, the buff gives 20 percent contruction and you can stack that with the steel company for 25 percent
Ludi, you should show how to get the Max Stirner achievement as Prussia. It has a relatively long and very specific order of things you need to do for it.
Made it in 1854 through Austria being in a civil war, joining their side makes them Genial and you then just have to have 50+ relations (from bankrolling and improving relations)
19:50 maybe they build the toolong workshop because you have loging camps there so they need tools in loging camps and because of mapi they build one in that state so the tools are cheaper there
Another tip, if you have to fight a war against Denmark but lack a decent fleet, ally Sweden and call it into the war, then you can simply land your army in Sweden and push through the strait crossing.
Watching the video in the middle of the night in my apartment - 8 minutes in Ludi screams about giving me my money back, so my neighbor can demand their money back as well LMAO
Just because I'm German and we don't have humour. Modern Germany does not have high taxes per se. We do have high social security contributions though (which are not taxes, just pointing it out). :P
That seems like a tax since it is a government program. Is that an automatic deduction from your wages? I wouldn't imagine the contribution is voluntary.
