Thank you so much! I looked at this AFTER I did my arched gate by sight. It turned out well, thankfully, but wish I'd looked at this first. Would have been soooooo much easier.

Si how do I know where to put my middle point? How did you get the 10 inches? I’m not sure where to start to get that measurement? Is it 10 inches from the center or

I get the exact same number when I use a string, a tack, and a pencil. Move the tack (center of the circle) up and down while holding the other end of the string at the height you want and moving the string left and right. Stop when the sides and top are in the right place. Just in case you don't have a calculator handy!

My calculated radius of 231" is too large to use with a pencil and string. I have a set of double gates with a 141" combined width and I want the top of the arc (where the gates meet) to be 10" high. What do you recommend I do?
