Yo, John! Long time on see and "hear" from you... Yours was excellent and will try search for Forrest's vlog. It appeared that you were referring to Forrest's vlog "DEAF BUS DRIVERS"? NOT the drivers like you and me.
Please, all who watch John's vlog - understand - the topic is not about the Deaf not being allowed to drive. That was not the point. His point is Deaf community needs to work together - all ages and to respect those people who volunteer their time and work to improve Deaf lives.
HI Warren, I watched your latest vlog and noticed there were issues with leaking and high latency. Additionally, it seemed like there was a disregard for those with real talent. To be honest, since the release in 2016, things haven't improved; if anything, they've gotten worse. It’s frustrating to see money being misused, taken from fundraisers, and a poor platform and board of CAV that seems to do little to address these issues. I also disagree with the practices of those who own the interpreter business; it’s very bad practice and seems like an attempt to collect minute details to make invoicing more profitable. This approach is making it more profitable for them but negatively affects the availability of ground interpreters because they prefer to stay in VRS to make more money from minute billing. Consider that no one has taken action since the release. I did a vlog 4 years ago highlighting these issues, and no one took action then either. I'm giving up because it's disheartening to see that the Deaf Canadian community hasn’t made any effort to address this. Could you please send the link to Forrest's vlog? It would be appreciated. Thanks.
