+MrJoshItIs To follow up. I am super impressed. Though I have an itch to scratch. I am not a musician; I played horns in my youth and can read music, but I was crap. I am more an audiophile/acoustician/ hobby tube amp builder. The keys were spot on, but the tone was different the whole way through, especially noteworthy on the solos. Is that because there are often so many effects in metal (that are hard to replicate)? I am just super curious.
Replicating a tone on electric guitar is super difficult. The amp, and the guitar pickups can completely change tone, as can the amp setting and effect's loop. Copying tones is very, very tricky, especially trying to copy a professional job with a bedroom rig, so most guitarists just find a tone they like and stick with it, even if it's not dead on with the song.
