Sadly, the days of iron flywheels and potatoe idles are going extinct! Its the one thing I hate about my twincam; if I set her below a 1k idle, she stalls sometimes. Oddly, once in a great while, she'll just drop down herself ('05, last of the carbed) and potato for 10-15 seconds, so I know they CAN do it, just not for long.
I live in Alaska. Jack Herer's bodyguards brought my 49 panhead from California. 49 FL 3320,.. out of 8,014,..I believe. Got busted growing and I believe someone at Anchorage H.A. bought it. Currently looking for an XLCH or so. HEREWEGO.

Bike looks great and sounds awesome , but what's with the daggy clothing ? One may think that a magnificent bike like that may deserve a magnificently dressed man to start it. Oh Well !..
Rear drum only. Front brakes on 40s n 50s harleys were not much more than a hill holding device anyway. People rode em like that in the day and didnt die. Last summer I damn near died on a 2017 bike with abs. Its the damn cagers that get ya
