Italy and Korea are geographically similar to each other, so their emotions are similar. (Peninsular country) That's why I like Italian songs and they fit well. Portena is the world's first team of four tenors. They interpret songs together, value exchanges emotionally, and practice a lot. It takes many days to interpret a song together. great group!! They are really good at French songs as well as Italian songs. One of them studied in France. And the person wearing glasses is the leader of the team and the countertenor. He studied vocal music in Germany. Their music is amazing~~

Why S. Korean singers love to cover italian songs - a little background to it, rather than "a reason." Technically, italian songs got much more attention and good, often hot, responses, ever since the very first season of the Phantom Singer, the vocal quartet audition show. Throughout the four seasons which have been aired up until now, the trend continued and the list of the covers of italian songs, mostly canzone, got longer. So, basically it's a story quite limited to the crossover quartet groups originated from that audition show. Not very common to find S.Korean singers from other genres cover italian songs.

Thank you for reacting to Fortena's stage. Fortena is made up of four tenors of different ranges. The countertenor wearing glasse is in charge of the alto and bass and another countertenor has the sound of a mezzo-soprano. And there's a Lyric tenor with a strong mid-to-low tone, and a leggiero tenor with a high pitch. Each of them is a talented singer who studied and worked at the best music university in Korea, Germany and France. If you want to see more amazing performances of this team, I recommend [Demain n'existe pas] that they showed in the Phantom Singer final.

Fortena consists of 4 tenors. From left Austin Kim(contralto, studied in Germany), Seonghyeon Kim(lylic tenor, studied in Korea), Yeongtaek Seo(lezzero tenor, studied in France), and far right is David DQ Lee(one of the leading countertenors during last decades) Austin and DQLee's vocal range is very wide. Austin can covers base, bariton, tenor and alto. DQ Lee also covers base, bariton, tenor and mezzo. So you might think Austin wearing glasses sings deep voice Please check lmmortal song2. Hello Mireia, my first time watching your reaction video and I loved it:) Yes, you're absolutely right. The song is the perfect match for them and vice versa. Seeing you speak French and enjoy french music reminds me of one member of Fortena singing . His name is Yeongtaek Seo, a classical tenor, (the third one standing from the left in the video) and he covered it during the Phantom Singer 4, the same audition show on which this song was aired for the first time. Would be a huge fun to watch your reaction to it! I'm sure even Edith Piaf would feel interested in it if she's able to see it 😉😄 Ciao!

Thank you for the reaction video of Fortena. Fortena consists of all tenors. Two are th countertenors. Other two are the tenors of diffirent style. The man you mentioned he has a deep vioce is a Contralto as a countertenor. He can sing in the alto voice of female and in the bass. If you do not mind I would like to recommend the another songs of Fortena " Wedding Cake" , "Miracle" "Buona fortuna." The song "Wedding Cake " is sung at the music competiton program, recently and got the first place. The song " Miracle" is the first digital single album of them. Their voice is beatiful and grand.

Mireaia, thank you for your good reaction of Forténa (포르테나) of course this group's harmony is world-class. However please watch each members' solo performance as well. I would like to recommend one of Fortena Tenors, Yeongtaek SEO. He sang a French song "Non, je ne regrette rien" when he performed 1st stage. His voice is so beautiful and something unique. =)

First of all, thank you for your review of Fortena. Fortena is the world's first group of only four tenors, consisting of countertenors, contralto (one voice of countertenor plays the female alto range), lyrictenor, and leggierotenor. Although they teamed up just before the first leg of the final, they were praised for their best harmony and blending. When they sing, they are overwhelmed with grandeur as if a choir of 30 to 40 people was singing. I recommend you a song called "Wedding Cake" by Fortena, which won the title as soon as it first appeared on KBS's immortal song. It also recommends countertenor David DQ Lee's solo song " Havanera" among Fortena members and Dua Lipa's " Dance the Night" video that he covered. He has won numerous competitions as a world-class countertenor, and is a master of his more than 26 years as a soloist on the opera stage in various European countries. For a new challenge, he appeared in an audition program called Phantom Singer 4, and stood at the center of the topic with excellent musicality, acting skills, sensibility, good personality, and personality in each episode. I watched several Fortena reaction videos and your reaction was the most fun and lovely, so I even like 👍 and subscribe. The person who said you were cute in the middle of the song is probably Kim Sung Hyun. He is a lyric tenor who majored in vocal music at Seoul National University, Korea's top university, and has won awards in several competitions. His nickname is penguin tenor, and the nickname is as cute as he looks. There are many good songs that Fortena sang, so please listen to them. In particular, I recommend "Demain'existepas" and "The wedding cake" that won the Korean TV show Immortal Songs. Wedding cake is an adaptation, but unlike the original song, it's a very sad song in Korean lyrics. A man has a sleepless night ahead of his marriage to an unwanted person the next day. He opens the door at the sound of a knock on the window and looks outside the door at a wedding cake that someone has secretly left behind. And he notices that the person he loved left behind. You are so cute! 🤗🤗 Forténa is the one that got 2nd place on the Phantom Singer 4 this year and Neapolis was their debut song. This song gave them a spotlight immediately because like you mentioned, this song suits them so much! And they always sing with full of passion and put all of efforts the songs. They guys next to you is Austin Kim and a contralto(a type of count tenor) and he can actually cover all range from high to deep. You can hear his deep voice from other songs. 😄😄 This group is so special because it ‘s the only crossover group that has four tenors(with two count tenors) in the world. You will definitely love their French cover song, “Demain n’existe pas”. They got 396 votes out of 400 from the audience on the 2nd round. I would also like to recommend to check ETA cover song(originally sung by NewJeans) and Wedding Cake from recent Immortal Songs 2. Thanks again! Have a good day!

I really enjoyed watching your reaction video!❤ As you expected, the guy with glasses can also have a deep voice. He covers the lowest female voice, contralto, and the bass. Thanks for this video! Forténa is a relatively new crossover group, but it is gaining fast and bigger fandom by day. Yes, "Neopolis" put them in the spotlight during "Phantom Singer 4", but there were other songs after the show. Why don't you check out their first digital single "Miracle" and the recent cover of "ETA" (originally by NewJeans). They both are divine!

Mireia, there are no special reasons why Korean singers cover many Italian songs. They just do because there are many good Italian songs. The second person you mentioned is SungHyun. His voice is good for Italian songs.
