@@TampaBaySaltwaterFishing Not on the hot concrete. Many coolers are graduated in inches. If not, glue a 12" ruler to the top of your cooler.

Thanks! For mangrove snappers, I like to fish for them in mid tide, when the tide is not too fast and not too slow.

Should never use J hooks for snapper. Too many throwbacks swallow J's and die. Circle hooks are the way to go
