This is actually two mines, Fort Hills and Aurora. The white cable shovel is Fort Hills and the Red one is Aurora.

I work there one winter build new road for 797 cat truck.the amount tarsand move one day just insane.the now is reclaimation lot people want bigger bond due what happen south border with mining operation.lots research are done there:steel,rubber,lube oil,air sample so on.

What is the whole length and width of the pit?

Imagine, that was once all bitumin & sand once, then we cleaned it up.

Of course, doesn't fly over any reclaimed areas. 🤡
