Fort Smith National Historic Site 

Fort Smith was a historic military base wr visited while driving through Arkansas. Your national park pass will work here! it's very interesting to see how prisons operated back on the old days. It was definitely eerie to see the gallows and now that real people died for real crimes right there. I can't fathom wanting to watch someone lose their life, but plenty would watch back in the day.
