Forterra Winter Testing, Episode 1: RRAI takes our heavily modified SMET (Small Multi-Purpose Equipment Transport) through its autonomous paces in the rugged terrain of south-central Idaho. We modified the base SMET by adding our AutoDrive® system to create the first truly autonomous military vehicle of its kind. Rigorous testing shows the modified SMET autonomously negotiating unstructured terrain, rapidly changing elevations, snow and ice.
