It could be easier said than done. They already have a system that makes your cosmetics the default if you don’t have the right skin equipped as well, so it would be easier to change the one that already exists than to write something else from scratch.

I think they should only make it so that people with parental controls on can’t see the skin, meanwhile everyone else can. @@wilbs5970 well thats not really epics falt there. in normal seasons, its rare just to get 1 location added to the game in a update let alone a biom. hell we got an entire map back just for 1 season and a biom on its 2nd weak. hell after this season ends, were getting a whole new map, machanics, weapons, skins, a whole lego collab, and much more. they got alot of work to do for this season and adding all that stuff for 1 mini season is to much time. another reason why this shouldn't have been a mini season.

the reasons that certain skins (for example: Deadpool or Midas) is because if a skin has a gun holster strap or ammunition strap on their body, it wouldn't be considered appropriate for maps rated E, only T. That's why so many skins got restricted.

Im not 100% sure if this'll turn out to be the case, but i feel like this will hurt the population playing creative more than it bringing in more players. I mean, maybe epic games was thinking they could increase the playbase if they have more options to welcome younger players. At the same time a LOT of players seem to be opposed to this or at least think it should be implemented differently though and it could make them not wanna play creative with this new limitation implemented. Just my thoughts. Keep up the good work though tabor and thanks for informing me and others on this.

If i can't use a creative map without changing my skin, then im just not gonna play it, I shouldn't PAY for a Skin just to be told i can't even use that, that's literally throwing my money away that I worked for, besides, since im old enough I shouldn't be held back from using a skin i payed for just because underage kids want to play that game as well it's my not problem that they're too young, besides... the soul part of this game is literally shooting people, an astronaut can be shooting a gingerbread man and no one has a problem with that but they do have a problem when 6 year olds who probably shouldn't even be playing a game like this being able to use a skin with a grenade or one that is a little immature in certain body parts. I think they should restrict the smaller community that ONLY does E ratings showing default items. That way all the cosmetics could be used and there wouldn’t be any restrictions. Doesn’t make sense they did it that way. I don’t really feel affected though because I only play the T rating game modes.

From what I've seen its any skins that have ammo or weapons on them that are flagged. With that being said I just don't see the point as the game revolves around using guns, so having them on a character skin shouldn't matter. BUT I think that if an account belongs to a person under a certain age then they should see any of the flagged skins as default, since we bought the skins we should be able to use them regardless and for the kids that play they wouldn't see the skin.

Its funny and is cracking me up how the base game is T for teen so people who are downloading this game cant even play battle royale if they are too young, and can only play the sometimes decent E for everyone creative matches. So what's the point of fortnite doing this if they are marketing their battle royale and not the creative matches. ITS THE BASE GAME, if they have a teen rating on the game itself they don't need to add this extra crap that doesn't matter since their parents decide whether they download it or not.

The rating, for most of these, is based on whether or not a weapon is a part of the skins design. There's nothing "wrong" with Black Widow, per se. The same goes for the Cable skin since he has rounds of ammo strapped to his chest. I have no idea why Venom is restricted, though.

Another change I noticed is that after a match there is no button to ready up anymore. You have to go back to your lobby everytime push play and enter the que. Not sure if it is a change or a glitch.

If want to see how arbitrarily they decided this look at some of the seven skins. The Order and The Visitor are banned for the bullet casings, but The Imagined and The Origin aren't. Other skins with bullet casings that are fine include Calamity, Ultima Knight, Bandolier, Lt. John Llama, and Indiana Jones has a holstered pistol but is still fine.

I don't know why they wouldn't just make it to where the people who are restricted to Rated E content see our skins as defaults, because I know it's possible cod did it with the PlayStation exclusive pack players on other platforms would not see it. They would see it the skin as a definitely It doesn't seem fair to punish everyone. In my opinion, I should be able to use whatever skin I want

My 6 year old nephew loves creative modes like only up and his only skin is venom. How is this not illegal? Restricting something they already sold seems illegal without offering a refund. Making certain maps on a rated T game somehow a separate rating seems illegal as well. What stops GTA from making a race mode that is rated E? I hope a lawsuit is underway

I think they need to have a parental setting in fortnite that does this instead of forcing it upon EVERYONE on fortnite along with have that age rating on screen that you just can't get off in battle royale mode. Ok here is how you know if an item is restricted. 1. It has guns or knifes on it. 2. It has bullets or ammunition on it. (hence why that slurp skin was restricted BULLETS BAD!), and 3. It's too scary for the little kiddies! (Venom, Carnage, Driftwalker, Mincemeat, Sinister glare, and undying sorrow.) These seem to be the only restrictions i've seen. It's a classic simpsons moment that epic is pulling out it's ass, "Won't someone please think of the children!!"

Idk if anyone noticed, but ghost rider is still available, while other marvel skins got banned. Also, some of the pickaxes and gliders (like mjolnir and the symbiote pickaxes) are blocked because they`re outfit exclusive, not because of the ratings, although for venom and carnage, that hardly matters since they`re blocked anyway

Can't just be weapons. I did same as you - picked an E lobby and checked skins. Same bans as you, but found not banned skins with weapons on their person. For instance, Ruby Shadows and Ruby Reg (and her options). As to scary being the reason.... Renzo is still available and he's a skull headed robot. Turk is banned but Wolverine (or Logan) isn't? This is some weird stuff. Guess I'll just be happy to play T rated only.

The Mjölnir pickaxe can only be used with certain skins, remember? It has nothing to do with the new in-game rating system! You can see below the title and description where it literally says "Appears as the Default Pickaxe when not equipped along with a worthy Outfit."

Sure, this change has its pros, but for the overall benefit of the game, they should really revert/limit the cosmetic restrictions. Also, another thing that I found interesting is at the time I’m commenting, your video has the same amount of views as one of your old videos covering the banana badge emoticon. To think that it’s now one of the banned emoticons for rated E experiences is crazy.

This is unfortunate because islands without a rating are unable to played and it also effects some of my favorite cosmetics the game like the Reese & Xenomorph characters & the cacodemon glider. Surprisingly Doom Slayer, & the crucible blade pickaxe are not effected. Luckily I have a bunch of other cosmetics I like if I do play a not teen rated map.
