When I record with GeForce I notice I lose around 80fps. So maybe disable GeForce and use obs. If your 3060 is not an OC edition (OverClocked) maybe try overclocking a bit to squeeze out extra performance. By doing all these things you should see an increase in performance.

With my 3060 ti I’ve found 120fps to be decently stable, it just can’t handle the 144 fps. 3d resolution I try to leave at 100, but could reduce that ig. This is at 1080p mind you.

I have a ryzen 5600g (graphics included), RTX3060 12VRAM, 32GB RAM and I play using a very simple 60hz monitor 1600x900 In fortnite i set everything to my display specs (60hz and 1600x900) i should be able to play more than fine on epic settings even using lumen epic or max ray tracing but no if i set everything to epic it does go to 60 fps but not all the time, it can drop to the 45 fps but i dont know why, i also play with DLSS (performance) since i want to squeeze some more fps but its not that different than setting dlss to balanced or quality. I do think the game needs some optimization in a lot of parts around the map because in some it runs just fine and in other ones it just drops. ive also noticed that using lumen and turning on Ray traced hardware acceleration ruins even more the performance what do you think? I feel like the game needs a lot of optimization, i think the 3060 should be able to run this game smooth on epic settings using lumen epic and taking advantage of ray tracing….regarding of the quality upgrade fortnite had, plus i know my specs are not wow but are definitelyenough to play everything at epic settings at 1080p max
Yeah the game needs to be optimized, chapter 5 is the most demanding, and the places that aren't to demanding such as empty POI's might change for season 2 thus making those areas demanding. Mega Mall was super demanding in chapter 4 so if they add another POI similar to that next season,.... fps gonna be dropping. Try running the game on High Settings with Lumen. I cant really see the difference in epic and high unless im aiming at the tree up close. Here's some tips to improve fps 1. Enable XMP/ DOCP in your MOBO BIOS/UEFI 2. Verify FN Files in the epic games launcher 3. Try overclocking 3060 in MSI Afterburner 150 core and 150 memory 4. Disabling GeForce recordings can save u a bit of fps 5. Making Fortnite a high task in the graphic setting can help. By doing all of this see if you can get extra performance on High Lumen settings.

Yea Fortnite reverted back to the Chapter 4 Graphics so it’s much more demanding now. Also there’s a movable train in the map so it’s gonna effect fps.

Hey! With my 3060, and i5 9th gen, I get around 30-40 FPS, average being 38-39. I also have 16 GB of ram. What cpu do you recommend? I would recommend the Ryzen 5 7600 because you have an upgradable path. The AM4 Platform lasted around 7 years even present day AMD is still pumping out new CPU’s for that platform so based of this we can assume that AMD will also support AM5 for another 5 years, in 5 years they would have released more CPU’s that you can upgrade in the future. But if prices are to high then an I5 12600K would be a good cpu and you can always upgrade to 13th gen and 14th gen intel CPU’S in the future. Enable XMP in your mobo bios. Update all the drivers My 3060 has 12GB of vram and came factory overclocked. (OC edition) Cap your fps at a higher fps cap. If your on 144 cap it at like 165.
@@sone1667 Go to your mobo bios (by spamming delete key or a special key such as F12) and look for a setting called XMP, Ram Frequency, Ram, Overclock, Extreme Memory Profile, DRAM Frequency, or DOCP. Once u find it enable it/ turn it on and your ram should run at a faster speed such as 3600MHz. Some MOBO bios name it something else, for me its (DRAM Information/Load XMP)

Okay first of all your cpu is holding back your gpu. The cpu is bottlenecking the 3070ti, Your 3070ti has hidden power that can't be used due to the bottleneck. lol. In the future, I would recommend you upgrade to a 5700x or a 5800X3D. (5800X3D is the best gaming CPU for the AM4 Platform) Now here are some tips that you should try in hopes of improving those stutters. 1. Enable XMP in your MOBO Bios. This will allow the ram to run at a faster speed and improve performance such as more FPS. 2. DON'T PLAY ON DX11. DX11 is not the same anymore, wayyyyy more stutters than before. DX12 and performance mode are the best options. 3. Do not use to much animated cosmetics (wraps, skins, pickaxe, back bling), Try to have solid colors such as the focus skin and the golf pickaxe. 4. Verify FN Files and set Fortnite as a priority task. 5. Update drivers, window updates and disable background apps. 6. I notice that you lose fps when using Geforce or Radeon's recording software. Having them off can save you fps. Using OBS will help you save fps and the quality still looks good. (The only bad thing is you have to manually click record) 7. Maybe try overclocking a little bit and see how it works out. Can always revert back to the default settings if it doesn't work out. 8. I’m thinking of buying a pc soon from a gaming laptop and I was going to get the Rtx 3060ti in it, do you know a good processor to pair with it for the least amount of stutters and bottleneck? Also should I put 16 or 32 gb ram in it?
Honestly a Ryzen 5 7600. First off about how much you wanted to spend? A Ryzen 5 7600 is a good processor that is on the brand new AM5 platform and that platform will last for around 5 more years. It all depends on your budget. 32GB of ram would be better and you can pretty much get them for wayyy cheaper than how they were 2 years ago.

If it’s to expensive you can always go with intel 12th gen and be able to upgrade to either 13th gen or 14th gen. Which RTX 3060 are you using? The gigabyte one with 3 fans, the Zotac gaming one with 2 fans or the MSI one with 2 fans. I need the answer as soon as possible

If you go with the Ryzen 5 5500 you will be able to upgrade to a Ryzen 7 5700X or the best cpu for gaming for that platform the 5800X3D. If you go with intel 12th gen you have 13 and 14th gen to upgrade to in the future. If you go with the Ryzen 5 7600 you will be able to upgrade in the future. (Ryzen will continue to support this platform for another 5 years.)
Honestly like a 3070 and above. It will be able to get 60fps with ultra and ray tracing. Sometimes the 3060 gets 60fps on max. But a 3070 should be more consistent with 60fps on ultra. For Radeon an RX 6800 and above should give you consistent 60 FPS on ultra. (1080p of course)
I feel the game is very unstable with the fps I had a 1660 super and with medium and high graphics it was going badly and just by entering waiting for the bus the fps were very unstable and now I have a 3060 and the same thing happens I am having unstable fps
I get so many comments on fps and stutter issues. The game is more demanding now. I tested one of my budget builds and performance mode stutters more than DX12. DX12 felt smoother and more consistent. Here are some tips and hopefully they can help you to have more stable fps. Enable XMP in your MOBO bios. This will allow the ram to run faster and increase fps. Don’t wear to much animated cosmetics. Verify Fortnite files and make it a priority task. Disable background apps, and update all windows updates and check your gpu drivers. Try overclocking the gpu by a bit. Do not play on DX11. It stutters wayy more compared to DX12 and performance mode. Try one of the Anti Aliasing settings such as DLSS, or TSR Medium, Quality resolution. If you don’t record or care about clips, disable Radeon or GeForce recording software. This will save fps. I noticed when I record with GeForce and Radeon I lose fps. Even when I’m not recording I still lose fps. Eventually I disabled recordings and just obs and I ended up saving fps. Disable replays and turn off visual sound effects (optional) By doing all of these tips you should see improvement. Hope that could help to keep your fps more stable.

Your on a laptop im assuming. But basically, a pc with the same parts will perform better than a laptop even tho it has the same parts. PC's have better cooling so it allows the system to perform normally and can even overclock for better performance. I would recommend closing other tabs when gaming Dont wear to much animated cosmetics. Disable replays and Visual Sound effects (optional) (Lower 3D Resolution down, it will help keep fps more stable. Will look a lil bit more fuzzy tho)

does the cpu affect that much? i have an rtx 3060 TI and a intel I5 11400F but when i activate ray tracing i play at 40 fps ( i can play with all in epic, the problem appears when i activate ray tracing)
Yea this game favors the cpu. I played with ray tracing and I couldn't really tell the difference. I have the 11400f, and might do a benchmark with that cpu and the 3060.
It’s playable. I would use high setting. I don’t really notice a drastic difference from High to Ultra. Game still looks good and more fps on high settings.

I would go with the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, it performs better than the 14900K in most games and runs cooler, and consumes less power than the 14900K, but the main reason is that you can always upgrade it to the 8000 series of ryzen CPU'S, AMD will continue to support the AM5 Platform for another 4 years and the 14th gen of intel is pretty much it. If you ever wanted to upgrade you would have to buy a new MOBO and CPU. As for GPU Fortnite favors NVIDIA, since your gonna play on performance mode honestly the 4060 would be the best option. It cost $300. You will have a much better performance than what I had in this video. If you play tournaments you will see FPS drop below 240, even 4090 and i9 PC's drop below 240, clix and Reet PC'S sometimes drop below 240 but not for long. You will definitely get consistent 240 in fights but once stacked endgames start you will drop a few frames but it won't be a drastic drop to the point where you can feel the fps difference.

For CPU I recommend the Ryzen 7 7800X3D for 4 reasons - Cost $150 Less than the i9 14900K - Performs similar if not better in some games than the 14900K - Consumes less power and gets better temps - It's on the AM5 platform so you can easily upgrade in the future. Since the ryzen 7 7800X3D cost $150 less than the 14900K maybe you could use the extra $150 and get the RTX 4070 12GB or still get the 4060 and save that $150. I would recommend watching comparison videos of the Ryzen 7 7800X3D and the I9 14900K. After that, I recommend watching vids of the 7800X3D paired with the RTX 4070 or 4060 to see how the FPS is.
Here are some tips hope they help: Enable XMP in your Mobo Bios. This will allow the ram to run faster and increase fps. Verify Fortnite files and set Fortnite as a priority task. Update all gpu drivers, window updates and disable background apps. Don’t wear that much animated cosmetics If you record using GeForce or Radeon, disabling can save you fps. I notice even when I’m not recording I still lose fps but when I disable GeForce or Radeon I get more fps. Using obs saves you FPS, the only downside of using obs is that you have to manually click record. Overclocking the cpu and gpu will help you squeeze out extra performance. Turning off replays and visual audio can save fps, (optional) by doing every single tip you should see improvements. (First make sure your gpu drivers are updated then try these tips)

Bro, i use a 3060ti and i511400f, but my experience is not smooth like that, stutters a lot, the fps drop to 1 sometimes but stutters almost all the time, idk what to do 😥 Drivers are already updated

Honestly around 144 fps most of the time. This chapter is much more demanding so expect 144fps and above. If you can get a 5600x in the future you will see improvements and have a better gaming experience.

i use epic graphics except for post processing which i use the lowest setting for and i get 120-144 fps maybe u should try that, i have a rtx 3060 aswell.
it is impossible to get those FPS with everything in epic with j ust post processing in low, I've a 3060 with 12 VRAM and with those settings, I get máximum 40 fps, you may share the whole details.
dude fr? i have ray tracing off, dynamic 3d resolution off, nanite virtualized geometry off. And in my antialising i use DLSS and i put it performance rather than balanced or high but balanced still gets the same fps. Aside from that all of my settings are on maximum. @@Nocrypa
Its the RTX 3060 Vison all white. (the one in the thumbnail) But it cost like $400 and at that point an rtx 4060 or 4060ti would be better for the same price. @@st6ckin It will do better since its a 3060ti and I have a 3060. If you live in the U.S. a 3060ti would go for less than $300 used. (I dont think they sell new cards anymore cant find brand new 3060ti's) The 4060ti cost the same as a new 3060ti so if you want new I would recommend the 4060ti since you can get for like $380-$400 same price as a 3060ti

Download MSI afterburner. Theirs a section that’s let’s you turn on fps counter and shows you all the stats. It’s basically the orange letters I use in this benchmark. MSI afterburner and it should come included with ribs tuner. This is what you use to see the fps.
RX 6800XT will be better. Cheaper in price and its a good card. Also the 4070 cost pretty much the same as a 3070ti so a 4070 would better than the 6800xt. But yea 6800xt over 3070ti.
why are you playing on controller man the whole point of a pc is to use a keyboard and mouse and since you have a op as pc you should be at your console skill in like a month do better
I been playing on controller since I was a kid I just got used to it. I tried kbm but I felt it was easier on controller. I do use kbm with Minecraft lol. I’ll try kbm again, I know it’s better cuz of extra keys, scroll wheel reset, long range aim.
the whole point of a pc is to expand the variety of what you can even do consoles have so many limitations and pc's aren't only meant for keyboard and mouse people prefer certain inputs. there are controller players significantly better than kbm players who have been playing since release and do good in fncs
Dayuuumn. What kinda case do you have? and how many fans are installed in your case? My case is the nzxt H5 Flow. It has a mesh panel (many holes for airflow) I posted my build in the shorts section of my channel in case your interested how it looks. (sold 3070ti) You can undervolt. By doing this it will have less power consumption, and your system will run cooler. The 3060ti wont lose performance at all even tho its drawing in less power. Or simply it can be a lack of airflow. Or the the GPU fans arent working properly.

Yea, they returned to chapter 4 graphics, although I must say the water looked better in chapter 4 than now. Also the new poi’s have henchmen and lots of chaotic stuff so it really eats up FPS. I will see how my $275 build preforms with the new chapter.
@quetzalcoatll. Hmmm I’m not really sure. Honestly it will preform better than my Xeon $275 PC Build. Those specs are a bit better. (I3, 1060) I will test my Xeon build with the new chapter of Fortnite, and basically the i3 and 1060 will have similar fps if not better.

(Applies for pickaxe and backblings) Also when I have GeForce or Radeon recordings on I lose like 60FPS. Having it off I save around 60FPS. When I record with obs. I don’t lose fps. The only downside of using obs is that you have to manually click record. Disabling Replays and Visual Audio can save fps (optional) If my gpu came factory overclocked so maybe try overclocking the gpu a bit. By doing all these tips you should see improvement.

that explains I'm gonna be doing mid overclocking because I have experience with it, I'll be overclocking my Ryzen 5 5600x and rtx 3060ti (Msi Ventus 3x) when I get them tho because I currently do not have them as yet and I'll be upgrading to a 3080 or 90 in the future anyways but def no 50 series unless it's a 4060 which wouldn't be worth it considering the 3060ti is better than the 4060 so if I upgrade to something like a 4080 or 90, I will need a way better cpu I think sorry for paragraphing@@SandwichTech_
