Finally someone who thinks season 2 was the best season this chapter. I feel like everyone saw the marvel theme and turned their brain off immediately, saying it's the best of the chapter when seasons 1 & 2 were much more balanced (tho I'd still say season 2 was more wasted potential than season 4)
I never played much in season 2, I just found it. Bland. Like there was so much you could DO with Greek mythology. The bosses, more Greek powers? yet we got.. 1 Greek power, and 2 Greek weapons.

My biggest let down of the Chapter was the train. Imagine if... A. it was an actual POI with a bunch of different train cars we could go in B. We could drive it like making it boost or braking it to a stop. C. And in every season it could have another gimmick added on, like in season 3 it could have turrets.
I honestly hate how the train works because you literally can't access most of the decent poi's or it never reaches certain ones. The easiest thing they could've done was an underground subway system. That could for example teleport you to a poi for some gold.
The train was such wasted potential. Like season 1 sure it was interesting since it's a new gimmick but then season 2 season 3 and season 4 nothing happened and all it did was become a slight loot boost since it's pretty bare protection until you unlock the chest
Its spread is really bad, it does more tickling then damage, feels like it has the same range as a frenzy auto, and doesn't even have a fast fire rate to save it.

Wrecked & Doom had the unfortunate side effect of being trapped in a non hitscan meta, but I'd still argue that Wrecked & the Fortnitemares era of Doom are great seasons despite the Ch 5 tisms that have been a universal problem this year regardless of season in question
I feel like this is one of the objectively better seasons solely because of the fact that it’s a Marvel season. It was very fun overall, and I enjoyed it a lot. The Isle of Doom update was seriously some of the most fun I’ve ever had during its existence in the game. They essentially brought back a version of the infinity gauntlet, just that it’s Dr. Doom this time. If you were unlucky enough to not obtain Doom’s Armor, then it pretty much becomes a horror game. The Day of Doom LTM was good fun and it was cool to play a version of the original Endgame LTM back in 2019. I won’t really miss this chapter overall, as I feel like it’s just been somewhat weak just because of all the asinine changes Epic has made throughout this chapter (removing cosmetic rarity for example). I got used to bullet drop, but I don’t think I could handle another bullet drop chapter.
This was the worst season ever. Literally every game, I lose to little babies who shit their pants of excitement after they kill me with impossible to counter dooms arcane gauntlets. Or with war machines arsenal. That stupid thing destroys my box in under 1 second and insta kills me. The map is ugly as hell. One side you got a desert, other side Greek pois, other side marvel pois. It just looks like a mess. Season 1 was the best out of this chapter. Great map and pois, it looked very sorted out, unlike season 4 where it's all a mess. It was all nice and balanced gunplay. Unlike season 4 where everyone spams the fatherless combat kit or whatever the hell. Season 1 got plenty of updates and we got a really solid collab (tmnt). Season 4 didn't have any collab, at least not any collab with actual cool mythics, just cosmetics. And there were barely any updates. Oh and a small detail, this was the only season in this chapter without a sniper. Which is stupid. This season was laughable. It was not fun at all. I can't wait for this shit to end so we can get to chapter 6 and chapter 2 remix. I heard the theme is samurai for season 1, I'm hyped for that. It's gonna be better than marvel stuff for sure.

dude they had a hitscan pistol earlier this chapter it was used over literally every other gun, mixing the two wouldn’t work people would just choose hitscan excluding snipers obv 😭
@Zack1948 good, scope guns are unbalanced This is how it should go Bloom/hitscan No bloom/bullet drop No Bloom with hitscan is horribly balanced and it becomes a problem, that's just how it goes
All the kids are going to be so confused why there’s no overly op stuff In Remix. Chapter 5 has been horrible for new players, op weapons sure can exist, but they need counters. They will need to learn the core abilities called skill.
There's also no long range precision weapons (the monarch pistol doesn't count), I feel like the jetpacks could've been dealt with easier with a dmr or something for burst precision damage
Good thing they vaulted the jetpack very early in the season or at least by the time I got to the season ( I only started playing this season 2 days ago and I'm level 200 already)

I'm honestly done with Ch. 5's Meta. 1. Get the OP Medallion 2. Get the Collab Mythic that Defined the Season. (TMNT, WATERBENDING, MAGNETO, IRON MAN/SHIELD). 3. Touch Water for Teleport, not Grass. 4. Modify your Bullet-Drop Gun in a random Vault (even if it's in the Storm) or else... you lose. Reload just feels more rewarding and worth my time. Fetching Medallions and dealing with Crossover Gimmicks has been the definition of this Chapter.
Remix is definitely gonna be refreshing especially when the 3 seasons in remix are all gunplay focused (except for maybe season 3 but who knows) Hoping epic really uses this entire chapter as a learning experience on what NOT to do during ch6, but only time will tell
recently ranked this season a 5/10 it’s not bad but it’s really flawed also note that the funny and totally legit leakers gassed up the old super powers to return but never did

I find this with all the season 4’s in these one year chapters (3,4,and 5) , they all have pretty fun concepts but they don’t do as much with them because they are so focused on the next chapter more than anything. Also something I found interesting is that every season 4 ( including the ones in 2 year chapters ) , are better than the previous season without fail.
despite the flaws i still found it pretty fun and I'm hyped for chapter 6. even if it is a huge step up from chapter 5, it'll always have a special place in my heart
I'm glad chapter 5 is ending since it feels like fortnite barely has a direction it wants to go in. Which is probably why they're doing the remix season to refresh the boring gameplay loop. This season really disappointed me since the execution and content really wasn't that interesting even worse when you compare it to the og marvel season.
Literally all they had to do was copy c2s4 to some extent but they still found a way to make it extremely mid, definitely the most fun I’ve had playing since c4s1 but it’s still like a 7/10 season

As a primarily Zero Build player, this season was fun. Same with last season. When you look at it from a fun perspective and casual perspective, it's a decent season.
I was hyped for the season, as chapter 2 season 4 was the time i got into fortnite. My biggest gripe was the loot pool. Lack of marvel mythics, with the turret being the meta. If it werent for Fortnitmares, this wpuld have been one of the weaker seasons.
The fact people whine and piss their pants about cars from season 3 but go 😃👍 to overpowered marvel super power BS should be studied. It’s the same garbage. At least in a car someone had to look at me to kill me, unlike a certain turret that sits on your back 🤔
as a build player, this season has been the best so far in the chapter, the lootpool is solid and the fortnitemares updates were the best we've ever seen. coming out of season 3 to this was great
I don’t know if I’m excited for Chapter 6. The devs at Epic just gave us all the most unbalanced Fortnite Chapter. There was just too much “spam this, then abuse this” in Chapter 5. But I guess that’s why Reload is a thing if I want balanced gameplay. Normal BR is for the brainrot kiddies.
As a zero build player, this season was peak, it was chaotic in just about the best way possible, and really felt like Fortnite again, though, I don't play ranked, so IDK what issues might arise there
I actually liked this season. Not the greatest, but in comparison to the rest of chapter 5 it was pretty good. -Solid lootpool -Great new weapons and items -Solid POIs (though I wish we could’ve gotten a couple more throughout the season) -An okay mid-season event, but at least we got one -Great skins! (I know this is a controversial opinion but I love the marvel X Fortnite skins. A lot more interesting than just the regular Marvel characters) -AMAZING Fortnitemares, one of if not the best we ever got!

the reason this chapter was wasted was because of all the complaints from season 3 to have a gun orientated gunpool so fortnite stepped back from releasing all the og marvel mythics because of the damn community, they were in the files not to mention. man how i love this fortnite community

You know I 100% agree with you in the fact of I would enjoy this session if I was a builds player. But since I am a zero build player, I really did not like this season. Heck I would even say last season was more better for zero build players ( for the most part). The only three things that saved this season for me for not being complete trash is. The Fortnitemares update, the Dooms Day LTM, and of course the Doctor Doom island.
No bro the marvel seasons just fucking suck overall... Subverting the game for an entire period of the games history to an entirely different IP that, if im being real, not a huge lot of people actually like. Doomstadt is a really good POI tbh, it's a pretty above average sort of town poi, having more chests and a great layout, but i do think that lavish lair was better overall, it isn't too much better for when it comes to combat, however there are a lot of chests, and the Piaza is a nice combat zone. I will praise them on one thing however, Castle Doom's Theme song? IM ASCENDING
The funniest thing of the season was when a trailer of the Day of Doom ltm was released on the Russian account of the game (mode was not available to players from Russia)
The original marvel season had relatively balanced marvel items being added what seemed like every week but this season dropped some items then added like two more after that it could’ve been so much better
I think the main issue is how these last 2 seasons especially epic has not been committing to the season themes. Like cars were a big thing last season and yes they were op, the boss cars were the worst and should have been removed with the infinite nitro, then the nerfs overall were stupid as they nerfed it to the ground and then the dumb thing being they added items to hard counter the cars. Cars should have been buffed a bit due to magneto gauntlets. Also nitro fist had too much damage and wanky hitbox. Then the biggest issue which still exist now with cars is the boost system. It is op without it cars are at least balanced to an extent. Now that boosting doesn’t require fuel they are so fast as there’s no downside to boosting. The fuel makes vehicles balanced, planes with fuel are balanced as the dash is risky with the fuel it needs. Also the fuel pads do make the fuel issue worse as now there’s no risk when refueling. Then this season the should have added the old marvel mythics as enough of them would help balance each other out.

I disagree on Wrecked being bad, i think it was fun. And was a nice change of pace. Matches were fast and you really had to use builds much differently to account for the amount of cars in the season
They needed more Marvel Map Changes, Weapons and Skins But overall this season was great just not as good as Chapter 2 season 4 and with the Iron Man Combat Kit i really wished they had the Iron Man float mechanic like they old Iron Man Gautlets had But they did amazing with the Marvel items they did add just would have liked more like in Chapter 2 Season 4 were we had like 20 diffrent Marvel Mythics or something
I liked this season, top 10 for me cuz it wasn’t annoying unlike the $hit of season 3, it’s because after the balance changes it was perfect, also I’m a build player, it’s not better than nexus war, but the only thing I didn’t like was no hitscan and the op jet packs
The only problem with it was that the only way you could win is if you had at least one marvel item, if you don’t got it then u immediately die in the finals (this isn’t me saying it’s bad it has a lot of pros more than cons
I'm going to say something incredibly controversial, but I absolutely love this chapter. It really felt like a revive for the entire game. Really? I mean it felt to me like chapter 3 all over again. I even more controversial. I loved chapter 5 season 3. It was chaotic just like fortnite should be
Tbh, I don't really care about map changes and stuff. I barely remember half of the names of them. And I only land on pacific non-poi area that got the most loot chest spawns.
I do like this season, I think it was good i think it was the best of the chapter and in a good few ways it fixed some (not all) issues I had with other chapter 5 seasons. with that being said, biggest missed potential of a season. we got significantly less mythics than the previous marvel season (more shit doesnt always mean better, but in this case it would have been better with more) and they werent nearly as peak as the old ones. one thing perfect about the og marvel season was that it was goated for both sides, competitive had a split lootpool but also one of the best lootpools ever, and casuals didn't get their shit nerfed to the boiler room of the underworld. the same couldn't completely be said about this season BUT out of any during chapter 5, it does the best at giving a somewhat equal experience for both sides. I could go more in depth but uhh you get the idea mostly. chapter 5 season 4 7.3/10
You can’t predict somebody’s play style but the item keep that in mind next time you rank a item something that may sound good can be dog shit if used in a way it depends on play style
I agree with a lot of the things you aid in this video, especially when it comes to the jetpack spawnrate. As a Zero Builds player, I honestly really enjoyed this season. I think the new weapons and marvel items are fun, and the mobility this season (besides the jetpack) have been relatively balanced. This is a really good video keep up the good work!
I think the entire chapter was just wasted potential. All of chapter 5’s seasons have been great themes that were good for a few weeks then they dropped the ball for the rest of it.
Wasted potential is the smartest you can describe this season when we knew we had greek mythology we said hell yeah and it was Good not bad AT ALL but the thing is for the chapter 5 we said its A NEW CHAPTER NEW GOAT was for a second then s4 marvel 2.0 hellyeah IT WAS mythic mythic mythic like before mythics were insane and balanced if u had a mythic u had a better chance to win but its now if u dont have a mythic YOU LOSE ADAPT
