Fortnite Chapter 5 Storyline - The Return of Midas

I’ve seen a pretty cool theory going around that Montague is Midas’ brother. The idea is that his diamond abilities are a parallel to Midas’ gold, and Midas is secretly controlling the Society from the shadows, as it was Montague who proposed the idea to the rest and supposedly tricked them into thinking Valeria would be in charge, meanwhile he and Midas are really pulling the strings.

Bro, imagine a fortnite story mode, thats fully fleshed out and uses each season's storyline? You keep the exact same map, you do various missions using all the mechanics(cars, mantling etc) and get full voice acted cutscenes like they do for events. You can make it co-op pve or solo, but i cant be the only one who thinks that would be so incredibly sick. You could even take some inspiration from Save The World or rework it entirely. I just feel like im often driving through the map during a BR match and thinking how amazing everything would be to take in a story mode. As it stands, the map and all its mechanics just feel like a playground for the Hunger games... You can't fully appreciate anything really as youre always just concerned about the next fight and staying alive.

I still say Midas is controlling The Society and took Peely because he was a double-agent back in C2S2 👀

I’m also pretty sure Valeria is a snapshot of geno as her design is quite similar, her ambitions fit the personality, and even her music pack is a remix of the io theme. Snapshot or not I think she’s tied to him in some way

It woulda been pretty lit if Montague had a diamond touch, similar to Midas’s golden touch

Nisha has to be supplying the guards because they all have a similar mask

The storyline is about to kick into overdrive

What if Midas is teaming with the dude who can turn all diamond? Imagine, a man who can turn full our gold, and a guy who can turn full diamond, teaming.

According to Midas's impending arrival, the Greek god Dionysus gave him his abilities. There are numerous clues hinting at a Greek theme for the upcoming season. Could the upcoming season include Midas's origins through the season?

I feel like if Midas comes back, he'd want to bring back the original Chapter 2 Map, which would be a nice Segway into this year's Season OG, instead of it being Chapter 1 again, it could be Chapter 2

Some other tidbits, Oscar has a lightning style which means all the Society bosses have elemental powers save Nisha (I think) Also dialogue between Hope in Oscar implies he was the most recent recruit to the Society and Hope believes he's the weak link and could defect to their side with some coaxing. (Also Hope seems to like Oscar in general due to her graffiti of him at Underground bases)

If you look a bit deeper, I think the Society's bosses are each a representation of the important aspects of a crime family: Valeria is the leader of them all, keeping them in check, Montague is the visionary as well as a thief, leading to him evidently working as a double-sided coin, a representation of organized crime as a whole, Nisha operates a vineyard with products found all over the island, leading to her either being a front for the society or a laundering scheme to infuse the illegally gained funds back into the economy, and then Oscar is a brute force bodyguard or mercenary that pledged loyalty due to the generous gifts of The Society (a mansion, foot soldiers, etc)

I think Midas is the leader of the society. The logo is all gold and it looks like an eye in the middle referencing to his eye that is blind

It would be cool to have Pandoras Box revealed and it could contain an artifact that gave Midas his powers and could potentially bring him back to life.. Plus if next season is all Greek Mythology themed, I wouldn't mind seeing a Greek Myth version of Midas

Jones remembers everything he knows where the Zero Point is now and the Society wanted to steal Peely for Jones' knowledge and the Slone silhouette on the monitor in the main Underground base it is the IO version of Slone now this might not mean anything but I think it means that Slone is now back with the Imagined Order because when Jones activated the Time Machine in the black hole and we know he did because that's how we saw the Omniverse reset as the Time Machine had enough power to reset the Omniverse and the Time Machine getting activated to put us into this new Reality likely made Slone become her IO version again this time different looking and maybe different intentions

My theory is that Montague is a puppet for Midas so that way if there is a version of the IO on the island then he won't be targeted and defeated like he was in Chapter 2 Season 2

I think the house on the edge of the map with Midas’ chair is not his house. It might be the Kado Thorne’s. Theres so many collectibles and item from different seasons and chapters.

Btw I went to a small underground base next to snooty and found a white board with montague crossed out with a big red X

I feel like when the Underground arrived underground for their bases there was Society tech in the bases and the Underground had to remove the Society tech

The Zero Point is actually still there. Agent Jones was sent back in time to defeat The Last Reality as according to Optimus Prime, The Last Reality had officially won. This was confirmed with the petrified Zero Point, and The Seven being possessed after being kidnapped by The Last Reality. Agent Jones was sent by Doctor Slone to the past to do The Big Bang as the 1st step to defeating The Last Reality. We have undone the damage from Fracture. We still have to relive the events of Fortnite to defeat The Last Reality until the events of Fracture, where it will probably happen.

This reality is really just ch2 with the ghost being the underground and the society being the shadow But i'm not gonna lie, i think fortnite should have just kept the originally storyline that most of us loved. Or in the chapter 5 finale , transport us back to the REAL storyline.

Nisha is supposed to be the watcher. If any criminal activity occurs she is going to intervene just like Oscar. I think the difference being Oscar also does missions in favour for the Society while Nisha just watches everything staying stable.
