Ffs finally someone who doesn’t talk during the event

First person, Jonsey talking, map flooding.... This is how far we've come

Respect Midas for having the guts to do something that not even homebase tried to do

my favorite part of the event was "Checking Epic Services Queue"

Save the world players: Noo you can’t just make a Device to eliminate the storm! You need to create shields! Midas: hehe funny storm go fling

I miss the agency... And the henchmen And the bosses And pretty much everything that made up this season

Midas: Pushes back storm Simulation: You weren't supposed to do that

Midas was a secret hero, he tried to break the simulation to break us free. Edit: For those of you who don’t get it, the storm is part of the simulation, so when he breaks the storm, he makes a bridge in the simulation, which is a bridge from the Simulation to Reality. He can’t kill the players because they will just come back alive, he can’t destroy the island because the Simulation will just reboot again. You might think that the players can just escape when the Island is being rebooted, but you can’t. If you were able to do that, then Chapter 2 would never happen.

It's almost been 3 years since this event. This is what truly sent fortnite's story into overdrive. Giving us our first look at the Imagined Order, and what lies beyond the island. All while ending a story of one of the greatest seasons. Midas' plan may be over, but it truly left a mark on fortnite's story forever.

If you notice, when you’re in the last cut scenes with Jonsey, he asked “you can hear me??” And as his voice fades off it turns back into the henchman voices!!!!!

i think midas has got to be one of the coolest characters out there

4:25 to me is when it gets good, the music, the way the device and the storm are going at it with each other

What I think happened Midas attempted to push the storm all the way back so everyone could break free of the simulation. The first attempt failed, as the device malfunctioned, but we got into reality for a few seconds before being bought back. The second attempt midas successfully pushes the storm back. We go to reality again, and the people realise what's going on. We know this by the urgency of what we soon see as jonesy. Once the device powers down, we hear a convosation. Reality tries to stop anyone else breaking free of the simulation by sending a flood. The next time we are in reality, jonsey is saying how long the water storm will hold. He sees us, completely shocked that we are there. But the device doesn't have enough power, and we are send back to the simulation Thats all folks

3:37 I love this part so much It really showed that something didn't go according to Midas's plan, but he wasn't going down without a fight

I can’t believe this event is a year old in 2 days, time flys.

We waited like a month for this and the servers barely worked

I believe what happened is that this “device” somehow broke the loop that battle royale has been stuck in, and we got transported outside into what is considered “the real world” in the Fortnite universe, sometime before Save the World, where they were training people in a battle royale simulation to fight the horde of zombies that was soon to come. We someone broke out of it for a few seconds, and got a glimpse into what happens behind the simulation, we were almost free

This is hands down one of the best events in any game in general. This might be kind of a stretch, but I felt like it surpassed Travis Scott event level!! Best event, even though I couldn’t get in.

This was one of the best events in the games history, no doubt. One of the few I’ve actually been able to see live. It was so cool!

"Its not just a storm" Is this a flashback to before the Storm originally hit the island!?!

Agent Jonesy I think is trying to study the storm and the “loop”. Like how it’s a new chapter and it’s restarting everything. And wherever je’s working at knows about the 7 and the island.

Every time I watch this, I get hit with nostalgia faster than the fire rate of Brutus' Minigun.

I’m pretty sure when we saw Jonesy and the office, that was “reality” and Fortnite is just a big simulation and Midas knew this because whenever he killed someone, he would see them again in the next match. So he made the Device to break the storm and stop the simulation so he could be free. And when we went back to reality Jonesy walked in and was confused to see a Fortnite skin in real life. Plus he talked about “The Loop” which is what happens in every match. We drop out of the bus, we fight, we die, we drop, we fight, we die........ So yeah. That’s what I think is happening Edit: THANKS FOR ALL THE LIKES 👍

The only thing I actually liked from this event were the cutscenes

When jonesy said ‘how long will it hold?’ He was referring to the water as it didnt fully cover the map it just hung there. So, i think something went wrong with the doomsday device and jonesy was working for a corporation that was trying to stop midas and they found a way to hold the water to stop it from flooding the map

i feel like i’m the only one who misses the water storm it was a bit annoying but looked amazing

Some memories, this really brought a tear to my eye...

Fun fact: the reason midas pushing the storm is because the storm is like a timer it closes completely after 22 minutes which is the amount of time of a match in the fortnite storyline. If he pushed the storm back he basically had a match last more than just 22 minutes which also means the storm is need in order for the loop to work.

If u listen closely at the end when john jonesy says "can u hear me ?" At the end of all the noices u can hear midas say yes i can

I love the music this season especially in this event

So, pushing back the storm led to the inevitable instability of the epic servers and I believe that those cutscenes were actually epicgames’ headquarters. To resolve the instability of the servers, they ended up replacing the storm with a ‘rim’ of water surrounding the island.

Who else missed the event because they couldn’t load in?

This hits so hard .. I hope we see Midas again in this upcoming "fractured" live event.

This event feels like a point of transition between the no-dialogue events of Chapter 1 and the more story-focused events like Skyfire and Flipped.

To everyone saying the event was ass, please just take a moment to realize something. For the past 7 months, we’ve been wanting fortnite to do something with their game. Literally anything that would make gameplay fun or something to go along with the storyline or literally anything because they haven’t been updating the game at all. Then they do this whole event only for you to say it’s trash and wasn’t a good event. We need to appreciate that they are finally starting to do something for the community, something that actually excites us. For you to say it’s trash is just a slap in the face to epic games and you should probably just stop playing the game. And comparing it to older events saying the older events were better than this is not a valid point. That was the past and this is now, and this wasnt at all one of the worst events. In fact, this was probably one of the better events. You were probably in the game with your squad yelling “OH MY GOD ITS PUSHING THE STORM BACK” so yes clearly you did like it. PS: I’m not talking about the people who weren’t able to make it into the game or got kicked out. That’s a completely different story. I’m talking about the people who got into the game and witnessed the event.

This is the first season and event I ever was part of, so it blew me away even more than most people on how good it was

5:26 how come no one ever talks about this? The device didn’t fail. From what I can tell, this looks like a last reality cube strike. Maybe this will make more sense in chapter 3, when more about the queen is revealed.

Fortnite is a simulation, Midas wanted to break it and escape to reality. John Jones in the office is reality.

This is what I love about this game. It gives you cool events live to see, it doesn't just give you cutscenes. I got in too! It was cool :p

So every time you start a new game, you go back in time.

I like how when he says "Can you hear me?" Then it makes him talk gibberish after that

I think I just figured something out. You guys remember the monster from season 9 and how we all thought he was the evil one? What if he was good. You see he tried to destroy the zero point the connection of all the 7 loops or dimensions or whatever. What if that is holding the simulation together, including the storm? The monster needed to get us out of the simulation. What if he was good! What if the robot tried to stop him from getting us out. What if singularity was trying to keep us in the loop by building the mecha team leader. What if the scientist (season 10 secret skin, who controlled everything in the season 10 event) what if he used the meteor to destroy the zero, but instead failed and made a black hole. What if the visitor sent the meteor to go under loot lake and destroy the zero, or expose it. What if he made the rocket launch, to make the cube lift up the lake and expose the zero. I think that there is many attempts to destroy the zero also the loop. The scientist mentioned a device. Maybe the device was supposed to break the storm because it’s maybe a different way to get the zero broken because they could possibly be connected. Also here is a list of the attempts to break the loop to get out of the simulation: first the meteor, which failed to destroy it. Then the cube which wanted us to stay in the simulation to Kevin destroyed him self. Then ruin, go under then map to find the loop, then open the vault to expose it. Then the monster trying to get us out but ended up having the robot kill him. Then finally the meteor again, but from the scientist. Then when we got the black hole Midas figured out that maybe the storm was connected to the loop, and attempted to destroy it. Many of these events made it seem like the good guys were the bad guys but they weren’t bad. It’s all a trick.

Only event I've been to because on all other ones my game crashed. It was amazing. Hands down for Midas for having balls trying to free us from the loop. No other character pulled something like this off since him.

4:39 that music was sick filled my heart with excitement and enjoyment wish the servers worked so I could’ve saw this I’n a better view.
