This was extremely helpful. I actually had a different situation. My daughter got the Switch Fornite bundle, started a "ghost" account instead of using her previous, redeemed the code in the ghost account and wanted to use it from now on. But I was never able to create an Epic account linked to the ghost to be able to login in the browser for future purchases (she also got a VBucks gift card, which is only redeemable online). This video made me understand how to navigate and solve this: I created another account with another email - this was the trick, successfully linked to ghost, deleted previous account, and went back to the other email account and I can actually change the email back to hers instead of delete/create, ... voilà!!!

I’ve already done all this I’m just waiting on the email verification and it says it’s because of Covid-19 so I’m kinda screwed for the time being PS: I waited and epic employee got with my and I gave some account info and he gave a verification email and now I have my account back And for everyone asking it took them about 1 or 2 weeks to get back with me.

Hello rick thank you for this. Question though, did epic stop allowing you to transfer your skins and progress from lets say a switch to a ps5? Like if i wanted to do this process to transfer my progress from my nintendo to my ps5 is that something i can do or would it not be worth my time to try and do because epic no longer allows you to transfer epic accounts between systems?

When I go to general settings it doesn’t tell me to verify my new epic games account. I enabled 2FA so maybe that’s why it dosen’t say anything about verifying my account. I’m a little confused and my account seems to be fine now. I dont know if I should keep it as it is.

I’m a little late but when I log back into Fortnite after deleting the ghost account online, I try logging back into the game and it says “unable to sign in to your account for PlayStation network. Please try again later” when I should be seeing the online code for activation. Any idea what I have done or what I can do to fix it? @@zento7388 when you first signed into fortnite you signed in with a PS account. So your epic account is essentially piggybacking off your PS account. If you remove your PS account then your epic account is in a spot where it doesn't really have it's own details. Hope this makes sense
