I think that if any character betrays Midas it would be Brutus. Midas has a lot of details reminiscent of Julius Ceaser which gives some hints towards a revised narrative.

There is actually some sense in Kado being able to visit the Underworld Vampires are dead, makes sense he'd be able to sneak in and.... acquire Midas' hand

Just a heads up: Marigold is also Midas’ daughter. In one of the seasons, you were able to talk with Marigold, and if you used the Jules skin while you talked with her, she’d call you her sister. Edit: apparently it was retconned. Stupid epic games. Marigold is just a person now.

I don't trust peely, he was a member of ghost/shadow and now on the wall mural at mount Olympus he is shown as one of Zeuses fighters. Seems to me like he'll need to pick a side...

About Midas & Kado Thorne: I have a theory that Midas made a deal with Kado, sacrificing his left hand in order to get a chance to escape. Also Midas wouldnt have any tools to open the door and leaving it crumpled, unless Kado brought some C4s with him. Oh and the loading screen, Midas already using a Drum Gun while at the doorstep of his cell. Considering the guards used a different weapon maybe Kado gave him the gun aswell.

You could also find marigold in snooty before the update and she teased about midas escaping in one of her dialogues

And if y’all remember some of Midas, old gang and equipment is still on the map scattered in hidden areas

7:39 I have a feeling that it will be Brutus to line up with that mythology story and Midas can say the famous line “Et tu, Brute?” since Brutus crossed him. in the quests for midas it also says “Et tu, Brutus?”

Also midas skins (besides the frozen one) changes the chain. Summer and original turn it gold, anime midas turns it cell shaded gold, and shadow midas turns it purple.

7:28 I think it won’t be marigold or Brutus in the storyline test of wisdom you are asked which food is most appealing to the gods and the answer in Banana which makes me wonder if it’s a hint that the double agent is actually agent peely. IMO it’s totally in the meme sweet spot for Fortnite to do that.

Kado being a vampire, could have used his thrall/hypnosis powers to convince the guard to free Midas's hand from the shackle, and then immediately betrayed Midas by stealing his hand. Also worth noting that Kado had a shield with a lion's head on it, just like the ones present this season, so he definitely traveled to either this island, or at the very least to the realm of the gods at some point

Not much they can do to make me play fortnite like that, but I loved the good old simple floor is lava or the LTM where you fight in fog with silencers. Golden FIL is 88.6% my language so....🥂🗿💯

The thing about the hand is that there's no way he could have gone to the future to get it off of midas. The reason for that is when jones went back in time, he changed the future because of how he messed with the timeline. the future would have still had us killing off kado thorne and saving the island, but since jones changed everything, kado might not even had visited us. Even if he had the hand from back in chapter 2, I'd say he'd be turned to gold by touching the hand so maybe it was one of midas' victims that the hand belongs to.

Love the vid! Personally I believe that because Donald Mustard tweeted the Midas who got eaten was in the loop, that just spurred on a general distaste for sharks from the golden man. But wait! If that Midas was a looper then Midas must have escaped the island- and to that I point you to Cyclo. Later on we see Midas Rex alongside Shadow Midas. I’ve always believed that Midas Rex is an updated version of the Cyclo Suit(which resembled the Seven slightly) to a more IO look. Shadow Midas is also identical to the Midas that for chomped. If Kado went back and killed Midas, took his hand, and went back to the future I always assumed it was Midas Rex who got beaten. Once Rex was beaten he’d need Marigold to save him. So what happened? Midas’ device happens and he escapes the loop using the Cyclo Suit, then the flood happens where a snapshot of him gets eaten. Midas returns to the loop in an updated environment suit- Midas Rex when Shadow Midas(the chomping victim) had his revenge. Then Midas mysteriously vanished and Marigold appeared soon after, plotting with Jules to find Midas. It’s then revealed that Kado encountered Midas and likely won-taking his hand. And now we’ve freed the Golden Ghost from the underworld to let him escape Reality Zero once and for all

There’s a Easter egg in the mansion near brawlers battleground when you go to the vault

I hope we get an event for the battle against the gods, I swear if it’s a quest that’s just “Defeat Zeus” and then after you do it it pops up on the side “WE DID IT!”

Kado Thorne may be dead, but since he is a time traveler he could always show up as a variant through time. As long as he doesn’t die the next time he shows up, and that he keeps his Time Machine, it stays consistent to the lore.

It would be ironic that when we go to chapter 2 season 2 (maybe) at the end midas is on a piece of his yacht and then hades jumps under the water and uses a shark to drag midas and his crew under the water.

My theory is that before the golden touch Midas needed glasses but the curse gave him 20 20 vision

Someone that has the most potential to betray Midas could be Skye, im pretty sure out of all the votes in Chapter 2, Skye was the only one that went to Ghost and all the others went to Shadow.

or when Kado cut of Midas's hand he freed that arm not knowing Midas could still use the stump of an arm to turn the other chain gold so he could escape... so Kado unknowingly frees Midas,... so in a weird way Midas had to lose the hand to get his freedom.... or spend eternity as Hides's prisoner... so to Midas he didn't lose his hand, he sacrificed it

Imagine if Midas brought back all the characters from Chapter 2 Season 2. Brutus, Tina, Skye, Meowscles and Peely? Would it make sense..no. but what really makes sense anymore in their storylines.
