The old weekly quests that granted loading screens explaining the story also helped, additionally the secret skin was also helpful. All of this was part of old quests which they removed.
They just simply need an open world CoD DMZ style game mode, were you and your squad can collect loot complete story quest maybe side quest based on the other skins or a new skin that's in the item shop. as well as cosmetics that correlate to the storyline.
and not as many (or none at all) live events, means i won't need to STRESS myself out over whether i'll make it to one or not. (cuz at the moment, i'm in a situation where one day, i might not be able to stick around for a live event cuz i gotta go somewhere.) in the past, i've had instances where i almost didn't make it to one. but starting from chapter 3 season 2 (when zero build brought me to the game), i've never missed a single live event.
and when people stop listening or just don't care for stories in a game that "I" love? you're immediately removed from my friend list and blocked. (idgaf)
to be completly honest i think that they NEED to bring back the story through live events because I don't NOT want to get bored or tired playing story quests its not entertaining for ME personally!!! *like me if you agree* *pin me*
Bro in my opinion chapter 5 feels like fortnite 2 The old storyline is gone and was js scrapped and forgotten like Someone answer me WTF HAPPENED TO THE ZERO POINT the whole point of fortnite was literally the zero point and its straight up js erased from the story the zero point and the old storyline is what made us love fortnite to this day which is why people think the storyline "doesen't exist anymore" like wtf happened to the seven or the imagined order or geno LIKE WHERE ARE THEY and this is all bc our legend left.. donald mustard..
@@jibaZoomithat was just an analogy, Hope is collecting the gems of Pandora’s box and Jones said their power is similar to him, because he was lost in it. There is NO way in my opinion that the gems on the box are like.. mini-zero points. Having seasons based around the story is infinitely better than the alternative, and find some way to inform new players of the story. Also, I think your point regarding opening cutscenes to be null. To have someone new to the game ask those questions will do one or two things, 1. Get them interested in the story after learning about it, and make them stick around for more 2. Let them just choose to ignore it except for the current and future seasons they play. There’s always been stories in quests, but live events helped to keep people interested in it, and keep momentum going to create hype. As of chapter 4 season 2, for the most part, the main story just came to a screeching halt, we didn’t even get a goodbye event for chapter 4, just went straight to OG. You can’t blame people for thinking OG was a hard reset for the story, because by all logic it should’ve been. Time traveling and changing the future should’ve made a whole new universe for Fortnite. Epic is cutting back on story and related live events because they’re too focused on this stupid “metaverse” that nobody asked for, and making the game more realistic & intricate when most of the playerbase returned during OG because the cartoony style was what brought them in the first place. I’m really hopeful that when chapter 6 drops, they’ll go back to their roots from here forward, but with all these contracts they’ve made to license these modes, and get these songs, and cars they sold, I don’t think we’ll ever get a season like old Fortnite again.

@@RoyalRizzlerThe Seven are currently chromed, The io are seemingly rebuilding themselves in Lego, No clue what happned to geno but he’s out there, and the Pandora’s box is essentially the zero point this chapter, everything that has happened to the island so far is tied to it. Oh and the zero point is chilling somewhere in the island maybe in the glacier or underground somewhere or maybe even inside Pandora’s box. But for future reference, the loop can’t exist without the zero point being somewhere in the island
This is just a matter of show don’t tell. We hardly get to see the story play out because of the lack of live events & weekly story loading screens. As interesting as Hope’s story has been, I’m already losing interest because I don’t get to SEE any of what goes on on the island. Obviously they couldn’t show Jones ‘killing’ the society at the end of season one, but they definitely could’ve at least given us a first game event for season two where we watch Olympus descend, and the Underworld rise from the ground. With season three this just feels even worse. Like, Jones take about Hope’s symptoms from being around the gems to being like his from when he was in the zero point, and that’s interesting, but they could’ve just made the story quests us gathering intel, locating gems, and making enemies with the wastelanders, and then at the end of the season, we go on a big heist to steal all of the gems and raid brutal beachhead, and watch Hope go nuts with power (or whatever will happen to her.)
