Also another BIG REASON why Fortnite SHOULD NOT DIE bcs FORTNITE IS ONE OF THE BIG REASONS WHY Unreal Engine Devs get the juice so they can continue to work on it.On top of that Fortnite is USED by Epic and especialy UE devs to TEST the new additions, patches that came/come to UE. So Fortnite has MULTIUSAGE from FUNDING the Engine develpoment to being a TESTING GROUND for every UE feature/tool addition.

@@freedomextremist7215 this take may have been relevant years ago but not today. These days the fortnite Battlepass is SIGNIFICANTLY better then the competitions, its like night and day. Overwatch specifically is a terrible example because they replaced the arguably better loot boxes with SIGNIFICANTLY more expensive and anticonsumer store skins. The one up that Fortnite has is the Battlepass is A LOT easier to level and obtain. They also probably wanted to jump on an new idea which was already deemed successful as well since they'd just failed not one but 2 titles simultaneously, Fortnite's original Survival Game and the Paragon MOBO. I'm glad to see that people are still passionate about our game, I appreciate everyone who still plays or just simply enjoys it! Will do our best to make sure everyone has a fun and enjoyable experience. :D

At this point this game will milk and last for a very long time because they are not kept within the year or genre that they were released in. To elaborate, the collaborations with Marvel, Artists, Streamers, will allow it to stay with whatever trend is hot at the time. Unlimited market promotion.

Take a look at TF2. There is a competitive scene, but it's a minority of the playerbase that watches or participates it. TF2 throws some custom badges their way and organizes tournaments, but they knew they inject TF2 with the same competitive elements CS:GO or Dota2 had. They hold 100k+ regular players without focus on high-level play. Just make a fun game that keeps people coming back.

i used to be a hater, now it's part of my library i play often. it's really appealing to me because I used to mod games back then (gta sa, unreal tournament, and css) to have characters from other media. it just feels good to play as masterchief or goku or whatever in a game that isn't halo or dbz. its literally smash bros with guns, its like a toybox with all those figures you have and you get to play with all of em in one game. its great

My theory: Epic Games will make a game like Ready Player One movie where you can actually collect IP items what are useful (eg iron man what flies and shoots). It would be a massive MMORPG-gasm

No build completely saved the game from death for the casual players. Keeping the casual players base that they had and bring back other players that like myself can't build fort knox in 5 seconds to survive your first fight lol. By far the best update to the game. The only thing that would make this game even better is by making some of the LTMs like one shot and high explosives and so on permanent game modes to play other than the normal battle royal or creative maps.

I like building in fortnite but I hate it when people build structures that have zero structural integrity. I play zero build because I don’t play it like I used to, and because of skill based matchmaking I get screwed over by people who are as good as I was when I was competitive.

would be cool if fortnite did something similar to WoW where they come out with "Fortnite Classic" which would just be like a season 2 or 3 version of the game. i think that would bring back a lot of the old playerbase that quit around season 5.

for me fortnite died when they started adding the most random shit to the game, like i just wanna shoot people and have some building duels not worry about itachi kamehameha'ing me across the map. i think the first weird thing they added was the shopping cart which was all fun but after that it just got so cluttered with dumb shit

death #2 is a stretch though. you cant copyright a game mode/genre. Imagine if you will that Nintendo had managed to successfully sue Sega for CI over Sonic The Hedgehog. Both Mario and Sonic are side scrollers from left to right, speed modes, pickups for extra lives, points for time, alternate paths.... Its ludicrous

Thats the neat part - u dont have to learn to build. One Grenade takes care of all ur building problems. Just give them the choice to blow up in their own four walls or run out into ur bullets. It hilarious and works 9 out of 10 times.

Biggest reason? They actually focus on fun imo. Quick in and out, wacky non hardcore gameplay, frequent meta changes, etc. Ever since no build it has been a really solid game. I just don't like how they treated save the world. Hot take: they also have the best value battle pass in the industry rn. It will never be a main game for me, but I'm enjoying jumping in for 30 mins at a time for some chaos that I won't be mad at if I lose or anything. Epic/tencent are debatable evil but damn it, those evil geniuses cracked the code of casual fun in a br style game.

Its just flat out a high quality game. thats it. i feel like people who don't understand why it don't or havent played in in 3 years 🤣 it evolves nonstop. its quality increases at insane rates both in content and quality. i mean the graphics move up a full generation like every year. they even added no build for the players who hate it and understandably cause its hard. now everybody can play and enjoy without too much effort. o and bug fixes. if theres a problem its solved in hours to days, not weeks and months like most games. also not only is it not dying its got more players than ever in fortnite history. its growing nonstop.
