well that was the case till 2009 and close to 2010, i was a semi pro in counter strike source and didnt see 1 cent. pro players had to life off benefits and earned around 200€ max and had minor sponsoring deals where they maybe got a graphics card or a keyboard. im glad this changed for the better with the vastly growing interest in esports in the last decade.

Honestly in contrast to other games I think these esports event will go downhill at least in prize pool for their events because Fortnite has DEFINITELY peaked and many pro players have said that they will be quitting after worlds so I think that this will be the pinnacle of Fortnite esports

hi if you're not a gamer, but enjoyed esports. league of legends(5versus5 topdown strategy game) will in a few months have have their world cup, they have big ceremonies, animations and always have special artists like imagine dragons or zedd as performers. its always amazing to watch and the stream is very beginner friendly.

@@breakies true, league has a much bigger/devoted audience than fortnite and has been doing large scale events like this for years. Their format has kept league as an eSport interesting & relevant. The first fortnite pro am and tournaments were cool but after this I can't see nearly as many people being interested in the long run.
