That was amazing, yeah. Game changing moment. Being able to sneak around with the knights and get a surround and cleanup was, for lack of better words, very cleanly executed.

My addiction started as soon as Malay with their infinite fish traps released. No farms challenge, maps with tiny ponds like Arabia, African clearing, black forest, Kilimanjaro, etc.

It's something that didn't happen in the original game but does happen quite frequently in DE. I'm not entirely sure what's going on, but it might be some combination and lag and selecting/deselecting the TC immediately after giving an order to another unit. Or it might be misclicking near the minimap on the area "outside" of it near the top of the diamond that protrudes outside of the bottom menu (the minimap was completely inside the menu in the original game). It's an issue that people have been experiencing since DE came out, but I don't know entirely what causes it.

@@T-West Should have a clear UI border that squares the minimap diamond within the bottom menu

Could it be when you attack an enemy unit with the TC and then that unit moves away? But i don't think Daniel pulled any of his knights back. Really weird.

Real pros steal the ponds.

He was really far behind in that game. He couldn't afford any more upgrades to his army, was losing tons of Villagers, and was wide open for being raided.

Worst thing is when you select all TCs and ALL gather points end up somewhere!

There was definitely something off about the unit composition. Not sure if it's "too many Mangonels" so much as "not enough to defend the Mangonels." If his Knights were out just a bit faster, he'd have been clearing the forward Skirmishers and been able to reinforce with more Crossbows too. And then of course he could have just 3 TC boomed upon hitting Castle, rather than pressuring with the siege, and been far ahead in eco. He really wanted to pressure that forward hill, but Daniel reacted really well.

@@T-West That's my man T-west transfering “it depends” to such an explanation. Yeah also Daniel took that fight with perfect timing plus microing was an incredible play

At that point he was wide open to being raided and no longer had a way to stop red's army or protect his Trebs in a Treb war.
