This is a great video - your narration was perfect, detailed and as a speech pathologist, your voice is relaxing and you have a lovely tone to your voice 🙂! Great video camera expertise as well and that veranda is amazing! I love that if it becomes too windy your husband can move the outdoor furniture to your side veranda out of the wind ! (Notice I gave that job to him LOL). I am sure your cruise on the Discovery Princess was amazing ! My husband and I are Platinum members which indicate our enjoyment of Princess especially their lovely friendly service and my being Italian, their pastas and pizza YUM ! Cheers to you, stay healthy and enjoy ! marcia
Thank you, Marcia, so much for the kind comments. I like the comment about giving my husband a job to do with the chairs 🤣 Cheers to you, great health, and happy travels!!🥂
@@Annettesfaves Thank you and for sure, our guys get to do "the man stuff" LOL ! Can you imagine them carrying the loungers to the side out of the wind and the gust of the century hits ? Get out that video camera girl !!! Enjoy and be happy ! m.
Wow…you really are forward-facing. When you initially pulled back the curtain showing the view, I couldn’t get over how spectacular the view was out the window. Later when you stepped out onto the balcony and showed us the size of the deck, really so amazing!! I typically book stand balcony cabins where I’m more mid-forward but after seeing this maybe sometime I’ll try a forward cabin.
Thank you for sharing your video. Excellent content and quality. We are traveling in this cabin in June. Alaska! I hope we are able to enjoy the balcony. Concened about the wind. How was the noise? I read some reviews for the forward facing cabins where travelers had a somwhat unpleasant experience. Thank you again!
Thank you so much. I appreciate the feedback!! The balcony was chilly and windy during sea days, so we used the balcony mainly on port days and during embarkation. The steward assigned to that cabin was wonderful, so you are in good hands. When we asked him if we should book this same cabin for Alaska, he smiled and said this is one of the best cabins for that trip. Bring binoculars for your trip!! We wish we had them on this Mexican Riviera cruise because humpback whales were everywhere. It was an incredible experience, so I do recommend this room. Enjoy and have a fun and safe trip!!
During sea days, it was windy and cold because it was earlier in the year on the Pacific Ocean. Once we were near a port, the weather was great and warm and that is when we enjoyed the balcony the most. When coming into or leaving the ports, it was spectacular. We had the ultimate view of watching dolphins and humpback whales in Mexico while we were cruising into Cabo. We loved the room for its size and plan on booking the same room for an Alaskan cruise. If you love hanging out on your patio during sea days, then it may not be the room for you. There is some give and take with a forward cabin but we didn't mind. Overall we really loved it!
Not at all, but everyone is different. We didn't have any rough seas. We were totally fine. If you don't typically get sea sick, you should be good to go!
We are considering booking this cabin for an Alaska cruise in 2025. I appreciate your video. My cruise planner with Princess is telling me that his notes say that the balcony to this room is only open when the ship is in port and we would not be able to use it when at sea. He also said his notes say it's an obstructed view but I dont see that in your video. Do you have any insight to what he is telling me?
Exciting, Alaska would be awesome to see!! Our steward told us that if we decided on this same room for the Alaskan cruise , it would be perfect because of the views. Honestly, the obstructed view really isn't too bad if you slightly have to lean over to the right past your neighbors partition. You can go out at sea on your deck, but it's really windy. Entering and exiting the port is amazing!! Also, in port just hanging out on the deck is beyond a wow factor. Personally, I don't think you can go wrong with this room because I'd do it again, especially for Alaska.
@@Annettesfaves Thank you. We did end up booking but we booked a different room for Alaska. My Princess Cruise Planner told me that if we booked this cabin we would not have access to the Balcony when the ship was moving because of the high winds and it being forward facing. We ended up booking a wrap around aft suite because we want to be able to use the balcony while we are at sea.
I was also curious how you were able to walk out on the balcony cause I read the same thing. We had booked this room and then switched it because I wanted to be able to go out whenever I wanted. 😢😢
Hi, We did go out on the deck when it was in motion, but we also went to the Mexican Riveria, so it was warmer. There is no one stopping you from going out on the deck, plus our forward facing neighbors were out there, and we all interacted with each other while watching the hump back whales and dolphins. It was windy depending on how fast the ship was moving. Overall, it's a super cool experience.
