(attached to his belt & has carabiners on both ends i think) there's a clear shot of it at 2:02 (next to his 'family jewels' 😂) ...i thought it was part of his rifle sling originally but then saw its completely separate, just curious as to what it is and what it's used for? thanks

@@jimmymcgill2557 Its a helo retention lanyard. Youd use it if you were doing heli borne ops, youd attach one end of the lanyard to a anchoring ring on the inside of the heli and the other end goes (usually) to a load-rated loop/d-ring on your belt so you dont go flying to your death

It’s intentional. Lots of dudes run their lasers towards the rear on shorter barrels to allow for full arm extension while maintaining a C-clamp.

Most of these guys were active duty or still are. Night and Day is always inevitable. The Airsoft PEQ15 shoots a visible white light. This one is real and only has IR Laser/Illuminator, and a Visible Laser. And you are better running every bit of kit that is essential there and then, then when the time comes and you do not have itz

There's these new attachments called pressure switches that connect to PEQs and white lights; most guys will put it in front of the laster where their hand would sit in a full arm extension, they push the button and turn on their laser/light (there's multiple buttons usually) then turn it off quickly bc you don't want to have that stuff on the whole mission. I haven't gotten to play with them yet but I've been seeing a lot of SEALs/Rangers/SAS guys starting to run them.

Because it’s half speed. In Full speed CQB. that target, if real would have 2-3 sec to decide who to shoot first.. that average response time for brain…. But by then, the second guy is already threw the door at the angle where he can see the target and the target doesn’t… we’re talking mil sec now… but that all it take when breaking off your first shot. That’s why i practice with a shot timer.. so my first shot can be under 2 secs…. I’m sure these guys are all under 2. Sec 1.8 maybe or less

From books I’ve read in higher tier units guys can just pick and choose what they want. One book I read said some guys on the Bin Laden raid went with dual tubes instead of quads because the quads were still new and didn’t have a long track record compared to duals. It’s also possible that, if they’re anything like my old unit, the nicer stuff goes to the more senior guys and the newer guys get older, more run down equipment
