Ya Horizon 4 was fun but albeit the best graphics had the worst scenery.

FH2 was good. FH5 looks like the kind of game you get bored off after 1 week. I'll play it because it's free, but wouldn't buy it at all. Super ugly map.

The reason I didn’t get horizion 4 is because I don’t have a Xbox and also it took place In the uk and they have the most depressing weather but now that 5 is coming out I’m buying the series x just so I can play forza horizon

Nah now we saw more the ilumination effects physics and textures, this looks 3x better and more if you close detaild both maps even horizon 4 have worst textures and effects than the 3rd one

"FH5 is so good", in what way? They didn't show jack shit but saying "look at the vegetation, look, look at that cactus". Both sides need to shut the hell up because we need to see more to be able to judge this shit better. For the time, it's just FH4 with 20% better graphics.

Fh4 looks fantastic, but at the same time, it doesn't look as intense as fh2, fh3 or the early game gameplay of fh5. Fh4 looks great, but it feels a little bit more boring compared to the lighting and the saturated filters from previous forzas

@@somedudedelespagne by the gameplay that they've shown in the last month it doesn't look that boring, it reminds me of that feeling and intensity that fh2 and fh3 had. The UK, even tho it's a fantastic place, it didn't have the orientation or the vibe that the forza horizon franchise give: a colorful, intense, fun gameplay. The same can be said about the map. Fh1, 2 and 3 had these interesting maps, which represented the real life version of the location as well as a recreation of it, to maximize the festival vibe and the gameplay. And by the gameplay, fh5 will have that same route, a colorful and intense map that recreates Mexico that can maximize the horizon festival experience.

In real FH4 has most realistic engine sounds among all previous FHs

I’m already back playing Forza 4. Those winter scenic drives as the ice glistens under the sun. I 100% agree about the music. I play Forza 5 with the radio off.

It's because the video on the left is from a FH4 with medium/low settings. Just take a look at a max settings video of FH4, you'll see it's far closer to FH5.

kind of a bit too packed /over saturated in some environment which makes me prefer the clearer image of FH4. also in some case, the car in FH5 looks a bit blurry. I need to watch more of these comparison videos..or better to try it myself

forza horizon 5 is running on the same game engine they used in forza horizon 4 so thats probably why

I think that's an unfair comparison there, just saying. One is plain hill covered by cloud shadow and other is gravel one mostly highlighted by the sunlight, of course the latter should look better because you can see it more clearly. Also another thing is the Horizon 5 clip here is too compressed and blurry, which in many cases in this comparison you can't see the fine details better.

It is very fair and simple to be fair. Forza 5 is more dense with higher res photogrammetry assets. The only concern is gameplay wise, they should tweak the overall car handling mechanics, as it was quite bad in 4.

@@sagii86 Of course Horizon 5 is having the better graphical details here. I never questioned whether Horizon 5 is indeed better or not, that's not my point earlier. What I'm saying is that it's not a fair comparison on that part because it's more like an easy dunk on Horizon 4, suggesting the game is having flat "PS3-like" texture or something like that. It's a common sense object like plain hill in Horizon 4 will never look so striking from distance esp. under certain lighting/weather condition such as cloudy or overcast, it's because plain terrain behave to light differently than gravel one and under cloudy/overcast weather it should appears flat from distance. Beside it's unnecessary to create photogrammetry assets for something like vast plain hills in England like they're just simple geometric terrain for the most part and doing so will take months or even a year of photography session alone to finish. The same can be said with Horizon 5 too, only complex geometric surface and terrains requires photogrammetry assets.

Sure I'm not some hardcore tech geek or a 3D artist/animator at video game industry, but I do at least know the general outline of photogrammetry process in creating assets for a game ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rC9wmXDzAX0.html It's not a simple process as you said earlier, that's why I'm specifically referring to the photography/image data capturing process only, emphasizing that *this* process alone could possibly takes up to months or even a year to done depend on the density and complexity. Playground Games didn't need to do this for 100% of the game's world map, it would be very time consuming and each Horizon game (until the 5th one) was made in no less than two years. With Horizon 3 and 4, the core world terrain is based on hi-res satellite DEM data integrated into the 3D designing tool. Photogrammetry process is done for specific objects and extra details and typically in combination with procedural generation tech so that you won't spent too much time on the field taking lots of photos.

Exactly , the controls are best , fh4 is more like simulation game than an arcade racer . I have both fh5 and fh4 but since I've already played fh4 a lot I got bored of fh5 after completely exploring the map, it's like I'm playing same horizon game again from start, so I stopped playing and I stick to horizon 4 since I've progressed a lot in that game. Also I didn't like the controls in fh5 . But horizon 5 is definitely the best game for newcomers who haven't played any forza game

FH4 = FH3 in UK

Forza Horizon 5 is launching in November, so it's quite difficult to tell how much better is compared to FH4.

If you're a new comer, buy any game both are equally good. I'd recommend fh4 Because it has 4 seasons more like 4 different maps + 2 dlcs (fortune island and Lego)
