In a high gear, if you hit the gas while in the air, the wheels' angular momentum enacts a gyroscopic reaction on the car body, thus pitching the front upwards until you hit the redline, then it stops rotating backwards. I say in a high gear since the wheel speed has to reach pretty high rpms due to the sheer weight of cars and how low the angular momentum of a car tyre is supposed to be in a sports car. So cars with super light racing tyres have a minimal effect, and trucks with heavy-ass off road tyres have a significant effect. In an AWD car, if you turn the front wheels in one direction while they are spinning at high speeds, the car will roll in the opposite direction which can be corrected by turning the wheels in the direction of the roll and straightening them before you go past center. Physics is fun.

Another interesting thing is that the 4 Runner and Tundra have a road racing perk on their skill mastery tree. It probably can be a good road racing car but without suspension tuning, it will likely struggle in any road racing events.

Toyota is not a lazy company, they are smart by not upgrading to new tech immediately. if it ain't broke don't fix it. The reason they are selling even more than back is because it's proven to be reliable and durable. I like how they slowly release stuff even if it's later than other manufacturers because you will have an actual reliable vehicle.

The reason only some cars point the nose up when throttle is applied is because only cars with large amount of mass in the wheels can do it

- Its a toyota , the reason it goes through minimal changes is because it doesnt have stuff to be fixed like ford explorer does - its a big heavy suv , you dont need drfit suspensions - the large 335mm might be carrying angular momentum - its a toyota

the mid air physics is actually some what accurate if you compare it to RC racing. drivers of RC do that so the car wont nose dive when landing and same goes to breaking mid air to keep the back balanced with the front

Just an FYI, Tundra and 4Runner aren’t on the same chassis. That’s the Tacoma/4Runner. Tundra and Sequoia share the same chassis and engine. Saw a few comments mixing that up! 😊

Every time Nick complains about the lack of drift suspension I realize more and more how much of a crutch it has become.

I personally drive a 4runner it is one of the last body on frame vehicles in its class that exists, and its very, very dependable, and its tremendous at off-roading. Plus you can easily drive this thing up to 300k miles if well kept.

I think the developers just swap weight of pickup and 4 runner by mistake, it explains why 4 runner is lighter,but handles worse,than pickup.

I love cause it literally unbreakable. We've had our old one which in 8 years the only thing that broke is the front shock and we beat that thing up but still lived on our new the only thing that broke was the bose sound system otherwise a beast

As a owner of a total of 3 4runners (2 currently) one of which is a TRD Pro… they are damn near indestructible. Minor maintenance is necessary but my 4th gen with 200,000 miles drives like brand new

I really don’t see the lack of suspension options as an issue tbh

I love the toyota IForce V8. that motor is basically my preferred mustang engine

i think you can tune the suspension still, the only thing we cant have are drift tires but id just max the tire pressure

The 4runner and tundra are built on the same chassis, and share the same engine and suspension. The only difference is the body and interior.

honestly more trucks with big tires should behave like that in the air, the bigger tires have more rotating mass to give a little bit of air control.

Personally I love my 4runner, design, the fact it can keep up off road wise with any jeep and I love it.

The physics when jumping the 4runner is like jumping an rc car its fun to drive but you have to be sideways to turn

I really think the bxd20 would be the superior choice for forza to add in No way playground would buy a licence pack from toyota trucks without it

Shoulda lowered the suspension and made it like a 75 to 90 rear biased even 100% rear biased in the differential would have sure made it feel like it was rear wheel drive

So the reason Toyota doesnt upgrade most of their cars is because of their manufacturing process. Yes, the interiors dont get updated often, however, everything in their cars are super reliable and work very well for multiple years and their parts bin works for any car that they make, so there's no need to upgrade, cuz no ones really buying a Toyota 4Runner for its navigation system

Most people buy tundras and 4runners because they are reliable and built in the US (Texas). I have a tundra with 460,000 miles. A 4runner with 430,000 miles, another tundra with 200,000, and another 4runner with 100,000.

What do you mean the Ford Explorer is a better car I was fine with you until you said that 😂 so you’re saying that a car that goes 400,000 miles and needs two head gasket changes with oil changes every 10,000 miles is worse than a car that will explode on you as soon as you go above 2000 RPM (The Ford exploder)

Ah the TRD pro, toss the fox shocks for real suspensions. In 30k miles I had to replace the struts three times and the rear shocks once each. Besides that it was fun to drive. I now have a 23, without china fox shocks of course. PS The jumps in this game are hilarious.

Nick 4Runners are built to be tough my 06 4Runner got hit by a Passat station wagon directly to the left rear wheel. All it did was sliced the tire and mangle the body work I could have swapped tires and drove off. That's why people buy them they're incredibly reliable.

This is exactly how you control RC cars in the air. Throttle to spin it backwards, brake to spin it forwards. This is how you do flips in RC cars. Also dirt bikers do this in midair When jumping

Love the video but they did more than just facelift and usb ports. Especially on the 21+ models. You have to look at features, tech etc.. They are made to get you anywhere you want to go; no one said it was going to get you there fast. lol

Toyota is the biggest car company in the world yet when coming to redesign something they’re like nah. 4 Runner: last redesigned in 2010 Tundra: lasted 10 years before redesign Landcruiser/LX: Lasted 13 years before redesign The most ridiculous thing about this is that Fiat Chrysler does the same thing and had the best selling years for some of their cars Durango, Charger, Challenger, Wrangler, Ram 1500, Fiat 500, and Chrysler 300 have designs 10 years or older

My dad bought a 2006 4Runner with the 4.7L V8 right when it came out. If I remember correctly, it’s the last year they made the V8 model. He still has it today and treats it like his baby. Running strong at 450k miles and counting, he’s going to drive that car until it dies.

Tuning your cars to drift with that set up is really not good. Always match your camber and toe front to back it will improve the angle in which you can take your vehicle, drift suspension or not

That's what happens IRL on dirtbikes and atvs but we all know how messed up Forza is..... 🤣

I'm still gonna enjoy cruising in my 4Runner, but it's disappointing that you can't even make it a road build.
