Hi Dave, always faithful to your videos, thanks! These little amps seem very good to me, I read that they tend to heat up a little quickly? It would be nice if they sold a matching preamp.
Keep in mind that I am not well versed with speakers. I don't use a sub woofer often with my speaker setup but when I have I only adjusted the crossover of the sub woofer until it sounded accurate. Sorry but that is all I really know.
Fosi audio did a good job in the implementation of the Texas Instruments class D chips. They are on the right path. I wonder if TI will release an improved chip to continue their commendable progress. I think companies like Yamaha, Denon, etc., should look into using these IC technologies in their receivers that usually have amplifiers that fall short. This will lower prices & improve performance.
I have wonder if the high price of any of the amps out there that are built with off-the-shelf amp modules (ICE, HYPEX, ect...) is worth it over amps like this Fosi amp? The only difference I see in those high priced amps is the case it the off-shelf-parts are in. Those amps kinda seems like a scam to me.
Anybody else here get a Fosi v3 monoblock amp and received 2 Muses02 chips? I bought 2 amps so they sent 2 chips, does anyone know if the two Muses02 chips are both supposed to be installed into one amp? Or is one chip for each amp? The reason I'm asking is because when you open the amp, there's 2 chips that look like they can be replaced by the Muses02. I know this is probably stupid, but this is my first time using an opamp
@@justinmanny86 yes I got my amps and 2 chips. My understanding is you swap just 1 of the factory op amps in front of amp. I don’t think position maters. But I’ve read if you put 2 of same op amp that sound signature can be even further enhanced. I have yet to install mine yet. I really enjoy BB / TI chips but once I have baseline I will swap mine out and add 1 muses02 per mono amp.
@@camaross12 Fosi replied back with a picture and said "The op amp in position 1 serves to convert the unbalanced signal from RCA into a balanced signal. The op amps in positions 2 and 3 are responsible for adjusting the tone. If you're looking to change only one op amp, it's recommended to replace the one in position 2. However, if you replace both op amps, the effect will be more noticeable. Positions 2,3 can be replaced with different chips. You can personally experience changing different op amps and op amps in different positions to feel the changes in the sound."
Hey im planning to buy iems and i am on a tight budget and my picks are truthear zero red and the kiwiears cadenza if i were to buy one what should it be?
