I just bought one and have done preliminary testing. It arrived in good shape. It feels solid and well made. It is not light weight and feels like you are getting something for your money. It had a 30 percent charge out of the box. I plugged the power cable into the wall outlet to charge it and set it on 500 for a slower charge instead of 1100 watts. in about 4 or 5 hours it was at 100 percent. I plugged several devices into it including an 1500 watt heater. It ran fine with no indication of overheating. I only ran it for a few minutes so far. I will test it to see how long it will run before shutting off and add that to this comment. I tested my 200 watt solar panel connected to the XT-90 input and found it reached 176 watts charging at mid day. I have 2 of these 200 watt Renogy foldable panels and am pleased with the efficiency. I will continue to test it and update this post.

I liked your review of the Fossibot F2400. It reminded me of the Oukitel P2000. I currently have several different power stations. Including a Oukitel P2000. This power station Fossibot F2400 seems like a improved version of the Oukitel P2000 station. It has has several improvements over the Oukitel P2000 power station. The three major improvements of this power station are the input power adjustment limit, the Invertor output power level (25% higher), and the 25 amp DC power output XT60 connector (I really like that addition. ) Only major gripe I have with this station is I wish they had used a XT60 connector for the DC power input. I have had too many problems with the small Anderson connectors used as the DC Input on the Oukitel P2000 power station. Had to replace the MP4 to Anderson connector cable twice due to burnt contacts. Also, if the station is on the ground is very difficult to install the Anderson DC input connector into the unit due to the connector cover. Pretty much have to either pick up the power station, and put it on a table, or I lay down on the ground to install the DC input cable. Not fun doing that. Please pass comment that along to the manufacturer of the unit. Hopefully they will come up with a solution to the issues of the DC power connector. A. Cain

Thanks for another comprehensive review. I don't really need another power station but with the Amazon coupon combined with your code giving a discount price of $989.15, I couldn't resist. It is my first power station with a UPS function. I have several Pecron's and so I'm a bit spoiled with their high efficiency in the 90%+ range vs this unit that barely hits 80%. This appears to be an update to the FFPower P2001 and shares the same capacity issues and all the same advantages with a few extras. Probably has the same internal battery I suspect. Too bad the discount code doesn't work with the green colored version of the F2400. People might consider that if we get into a conflict with China that power stations, solar panels, and assorted tech may become unavailable and very expensive. That and the American power grid is loaded to capacity and not being expanded, so blackouts and power interruptions can be counted on in the future. Might want to buy now while units are reasonably priced and available. Just where do they think the power necessary to charge up all those overpriced EV's is coming from? Should be receiving mine by end of week. Thanks again!

Great review as usual Jason! Definitely some nice features compared to the Pecron E2000LFP, which I think is a competitor based on price. It has a larger inverter, and 2400W is more useful than the 2000W of the Pecron. The built-in charger is also nice compared to the Pecron. The 25A XT60 and adjustable AC charge rate are nice but not really features I care much about, though I can see the value to some. But the Pecron, even being lower rated capacity ends up having more real world capacity. Plus the much lower self discharge rates of both the AC and DC outputs on the Pecron are better, along with the higher voltage and power solar charging. Overall the Fossibot is a nice alternative at an amazing price and something I'd probably get if the Pecron wasn't around.

I wish I could afford a large unit like this to experiment with running my Frigidaire air conditioner. It only uses 400 watts. In cooler weather (80 and below) the thermostat cycles the compressor off a lot and I get a very long run time from my 300ah battery...up to 24 hours...but in Summer here it`s in the high 90s for months and that changes. I`d like to have plenty of backup for hurricane season and "free" air conditioning during the day and evening. 300ah helps but it isn`t enough for full time in Summer. Still it`s better than nothing and I can use the 20 amp plug in charger with my Bluetti EB70 power stations to add another few hours of run time if they aren`t needed for my freezer. We had three weeks with no power after two hurricanes in 2020...Laura and Delta. The heat was beyond brutal so that`s why I got all this stuff. I have a cheap "Tailgator" type gas generator too. Can`t afford to run it much though.

I think it is a good unit and slightly better than the oukitel which it seems to be just a better version of the oukitel/ffpower unit. Probably made by the same company, but that is just my guess based on the look and design. Wish it had 120 volt output instead of the 110 on the ac and higher voltage input on the solar. So far the pecron 2000 I bought has had no issues and takes in over 66 volts per solar input, I dont have a way to test it to its full solar input rating without going over it.
@Jasonoid
@Jasonoid Год назад
This is definitely an upgrade over the P2001 units since it has the larger inverter, adjustable charging, and the 25 amp DC output. This and the Pecron are both great affordable units, each one has their benefits. The Pecron can definitely take in more solar but also has the external charging bricks. Hello Jason, I received my Fossibot F2400 a few weeks ago and also did extensive tests and made videos about it. It seems there is quite some variation in the capacity that can be drawn from the units. My own test resulted in 73% on AC und 77% on DC. A viewer of mine got 83% another 79%, both on AC. I contacted Fossibot and they replied that 6% of the actual battery capacity are reserved in order to prolong lifetime. Could be this is only true for my unit (because of bad cells?). We also found that the power plug for charging the Fossibot could shock you as there are around 110V AC between ground and both pins (our units are european models so 230V nominal ). There is very little current behind so it's not really dangerous but it still could shock people. I've also posted the official replies from Fossibot in my video comments if somebody is interested.
@mariokleidosty9175
@mariokleidosty9175 Год назад
Nearly forgot an important issue - there's oviously different firmware on your unit compared to mine as well as my own unit turns off both AC and DC somewhere between 4 and 6 hours without a load. Just as information for people who want to run low periodic loads on the Fossibot - make sure your unit behaves like Jason's as soon as you get it.
@Jasonoid
@Jasonoid Год назад
Different discharge rates will get you different levels of capacity. Usually you'll see the best performance at 20% or a. 2C. I've seen pretty similar numbers each time I've discharged this one. I've done about 6 tests and they were all near the same number. I also saw your video about the voltage on the charging plug. I'm sure many power stations also have the same setup since the AC inverter, UPS mode and the charging circuit are all integrated. I haven't ever thought to test if having the power cord just hanging off all the time to see if it's dangerous with voltage. I'd just unplug the cable when not charging since there's no reason to leave it just hanging there.
@mariokleidosty9175
@mariokleidosty9175 Год назад
@@Jasonoid Of course I agree about the difference in capacity at different dischrage rates. Thing si we all tested at aprx. 360-400W, pure resistive loads, so 0.2C as is the standard. Also our units are consistent in themselves as well, just not between multiple units. About the plug being charged - I wouldn't have thought about it either, one of my viewers found the issue so I made it public and asked Fossibot for a statement - which they kindly delivered.

regarding dual charging please also be aware of the following information from Fossibot directly: there is no solar priority at all and this can't be changed. @Jasonoid

Right now, the Fossibot F2400 is at €859 in Europe ($899 in the US) and it is very close in price to the UGREEN 1200 (€730 from the UGREEN EU store, or 899 if bought from a local dealer). Given that the Fossibot is one class higher in power, capacity, and connectivity, which would be the better buy with these prices? The question came from the rating of these two power banks which suggests that the UGREEN is a better unit (it's not very clear how much the different class affects the comparison between them).
@Jasonoid
@Jasonoid 3 месяца назад
The Fossibot is probably the option I would chose. You always want the larger capacity and inverter.
@spiroszaharakis2648
@spiroszaharakis2648 3 месяца назад
Thanks. I thought so too. However, the rating system should be able to address that. The rating for the FOSSIBOT is F with a score of 5.5/10 and the UGREEN is a B with a score of 8.5/10/ That will be quite confusing for most people. I really love your channel and it's the first channel I go to when I want to check power stations, so if you don't mind, I would like to make a suggestion that I believe will make it much better and a really useful tool for everyone on the market for power station. Keep the rating as is, but make the score absolute. Instead of using arbitrary numbers for the scores, use numbers that make sense and are relevant to the actual performance. For example, AC capacity rating could be based on the actual Wh of the unit, minus the % losses, for example, the FOSSIBIT with the 2048Wh rating and the 1650Wh of real AC capacity should get 16.5(Wh) - 2 (for the 20% losses) 14.5 points for AC capacity. Fan noise could be measured with a real-world load, like charging through solar and AC simultaneously (if applicable) while powering a fridge and charging a laptop. Score for regular-use noise could be 10 if the fans don't have to kick in, or 0 if they do. Fan noise score could give 10 points for 42db of fan noise (which is the best in your list) and every 3db of increase in noise should take away one point from the unit. Inverter power could give 1 point for every 100W of real inverter power and half a point for every 100W of "turbo" power (or however they wanna call it) for example the Fossibot could get 24 points (due to the 2400W of inverter power) and the UGREEN 1200 should get 18points for inverter power (12+6). The charge rating for both AC and Solar could be valued by the actual Watts the unit can handle for charging, with 2 points for every 100W of charge. Battery technology could give points according to the actual benefits of each technology, for example, LFP could get 10 points for safety and another 10 points for longevity (since it will last approximately 10 times longer than NMC) while NMC would get zero points for either, etc etc. That way it would be much easier to just take a look at the score and figure out which unit is better regardless of price or class.

I have some ideas but I need to find a cable around here somewhere. I thought I was gonna be able to do something with those ACP cables you sent but they were both male I believe. Im almost kinda shocked at the size and would have taken it being a little smaller with the smaller inverter instead of same capacity and bigger inverter. But thats just my initial take.

I recently purchased this product and find it to be very good except I have an issue with the solar charging. If the unit is powered off and then the sun covers the solar panels in the morning, I get an internal relay clicking and the fan going on and off and it keeps doing that until the solar wattage reaches around 16w - 20w and then it powers on. Is this normal or do you think I have a faulty unit? Other than that, I think it's an excellent unit.
@Jasonoid
@Jasonoid 10 месяцев назад
I have since started testing that on power stations and adding the results to my videos. This video was done before that process. That is normal behavior for the Fossibot and it's not broken. If you want to avoid the relay clicking, you'll want to connect solar panels after sun is on the panels.

For the Fossibot, it only charges at 1100 watts via AC so it can only support a continuous load of 1100 watts while in UPS mode. I'll edit the EcoFlow to be 1800 watts in UPS mode. Thanks for catching that error.
@scooter_don8569
@scooter_don8569 Год назад
@@Jasonoid no problem)) can you please explain to me UPS is when you connect ac cord into the station and the other side into the socket of the flat and plug all devices you need directly into the station, so when the electricity is off, devices use station as a power source. If so , then in what mode can the station provide 2400 w of power? And not 1100w only Also can this station be used to provide electricity to the whole flat , lets say if i turn off local electricity supply and get a cable that has European plug from both sides and plug 1 side it into the socket of the flat and the other side into the station , to create one big loop of electricity across my flat (including lights etc ) how much power can it supply in that case?
@Jasonoid
@Jasonoid Год назад
@@scooter_don8569 yes, that's how UPS mode works, you have your loads connected to the power station, and when the power cuts off, it will keep the devices going until the battery dies. If you got the skills to build you own system then that's excellent. They have HUGE advantages over all in one systems because you save a lot of money and they can be repaired. I love DIY builds and I have built a few on the channel. Now in contrast, most of the people have no clue how to build something like that and the cost of having someone install / build it can be more expensive than one of these all in one's. Roof top solar is a perfect example of this. I was quoted 32k for a 5kw grid tie system a couple years ago... I'm guessing most of that cost was labor since the components only costed about 10k.
