This is a complete tour of the foster cat room. It is a small space setup that worked wonderfully for 7 cats as they were trapped, neutered, and then released into the room for training and socialization. Hopefully, this video will be helpful if you are looking for ideas on how to set up your small space for rescuing cats or kittens.

I have come to the conclusion that every time I start using that room for myself, within a short amount of time, I end up with new cats in it. I am no longer using that room for myself and have completely surrendered it in the hopes of no new cats or sick cats needing it. :)

You have energy and so much patience to figure out each cat. Boo looked happy to be in the room again. It's the favorite hangout to look out the windows. Splash is coming more confident and opening up.

Wow that little room holds so much important cat equipment! amazing. I still learn so much every day from your videos and just got a racoon proof cat feeder outdoors for my 2 ferals and an abandoned outdoor kitty. Well after watching your earlier videos again I put it in a Rubbermaid box with a cutout for the bowl and paper clips around the bowl but I had to add bricks inside the Rubbermaid tub and a cinderblock on the top to racoons proof it. Now I am finally smarter than a racoon. LOL. The cats love it because it dispenses food before I get up in the morning and also since I travel for work a bit and when I am away I do not have to worry about their food but they still like my additional wet food when I am around. All your info is so helpful and appreciated 😊❤ thank you from the bottom of my heart.

You were able to work magic in that one small room. Making good use of space on all levels was key, and under the bed hide out was made as comfortable as could be with kitty beds even. I knew it would be soon after that the magnificent seven started to leave the safety and comfort of the room. I miss seeing their progress to becoming social each day on your videos. . Have they all been adopted? Lucky are those new feline parents.

@@LuckyFerals I have to get the cats out of mine so I can vacuum and clean it. They have gotten litter, crunchies and random cat hairballs all over the floor. I am also going to need a new daybed cover. At least they haven't taken down the curtains yet.

Wow, I had thought the room was about 10 by 20. Always impressed with how well you do and how great the cats are. My kitty is having a good time despite circumstances, and I'm so grateful she's here with me. So glad you have the seven siblings and the indoor four and that they are getting along so well.

Not only the 7 kittens rehabilitated in that room but really Boo did as well from his injuries and same with Ditto ,before he came back for his final living quarters.I think there was a reason Sammy was the first to get captured and the first in and having escaped, it was her lead to show they were indoor kitties .

Started with Stella and Simba, then Boo, then Ditto, then Ditto again, then the 7 kittens. Every time I use that room for myself, I end up with cat in it. So... I stopped using it for myself.

You have such a wonderful setup!👏🏻🤗🐾❤️ We have 5 cats, 4 of whom were former ferals, the last one being a female we caught in December last year. Our eldest is 18. I trapped another Tomcat about a month ago and had him desexed, vaccinated, microchipped etc. He is FIV+ and over 3 years old, possibly owned at one time. He was in our bathroom and then an extra large dog crate in our living room. I let him out of the crate a week ago and he knew how to use the cat door. Sadly, he found an escape route over the high fence in our courtyard via a hanging basket. He was just so keen to get away. I had been able to pat him, but he would cry through the night. I have been trying to re-trap him all week but have not seen any sign of him. I have been devastated and not sure what to do. He really did need a dental and broken tooth removed. I am not sure how he would have settled in with our other cats and vice versa but I feel responsible for him. Not sure when to stop putting the trap out for him. 😰

I would not put the trap out because if he sees the trap he’s not going to want to come back. Cats are very smart and we have to outsmart them. I would put water out at all times and food twice a day on a set schedule. Eventually he should come back for the food. Once he does and is on a regular schedule, then I would start training him with the trap. I have videos about trap training.

@@LuckyFerals Thank you so very much for replying and for your helpful advice. I put food and water out last night and the food disappeared but I am not sure who ate it. I am going to try to keep a better watch tonight, but will also put food out in the morning. I have the trap on loan, but will hold back on that for now. I am never quite sure how to outsmart a cat.😬 I feel he was so desperate to be free, but it is best for him if I get him back, isn’t it? I won’t put him in the dog crate again. I feel like a nervous wreck at the moment. I am so thankful for your help. Blessings to you. 🐾❤️🙏🏼

My daughter made my echo like that makes cat noises(meows,purrs) when I ask it to do things and it puts up cat pictures before I was able to get my cat. She told me it would have to do until we were able to get me one. Now that I rescued my baby every time it Meows she's looking all over for another cat. 😹

I follow a feral cat clowder on my YT channel also. I catch, tame, care for, and rehome to spay neuter homes all Spring kittens I can from our land each year. I am young, but this is a future goal!

The mini was fine for a small room but because there were 4 litterboxes in the room, the larger was better. The mini would be fine for a small room with one or two litter boxes.
