It's tough to watch and experience dogs that have mentally shut down. Though their rehabilitation in to playful, inquisitive and mischievous dogs is so well worth it.
@@SavannahVu1985 My little dog was abused, we found him on the side of the road in France when he was about 18 months old he passed away a couple of months ago at the age of 16 years old. I made sure he was thoroughly spoilt throughout his life to make up for what he'd suffered. He was the most delightful and loving little boy.
The most heartbreaking moment was her sitting out in the rain...just not understanding that shelter was available...she was use to being alone in the rain🥺🥺...I am so glad that Iris is safe and loved.
How a dog loses her natural instincts to give and receive love shows what a horrific life she must've had prior to these foster angels. But there was one underlying trait that Iris had...she has a naturally gentle soul. Thank you for fostering and rehabilitating this sweetheart.
Thank you so much to foster her. So sad the beginning. She shifted and forgot from her ugly pass to an Amazing Life, she was able to Meet Love ❤️ You guys are Angels on earth. Great family for her.🙏🙏🙏 too. God keep blessing you with your compassion heart ❤️
@@aussiegardener1773 anytime I hear someone looking to get a pet I always try to have them consider rescue/adoption, so many animals out there needing ❤️
Thats not a good thing to love but you shouldn't hate it either. Its like saying "I love/hate how my abused dog hid in a corner for a week", it doesn't make sense because its something that just is not something that you should love or hate
Mine says "if the dog don't like you then neither will we." And yeah if the dog that loves everyone without question growls at you. You aren't welcome.
@@moneyboymoneyboy4337: Can be dangerous is a more accurate description of human beings, and the world is full of such ppl, but not everyone is like that.
This is only a 7 minute video. The amount of time and dedication they put into Iris is incredible. So rewarding when they begin to trust and play. Bless them all🙏💗
@Keyth Danielsen I could say the same about you. The only difference about you and Iris is the fact that she’s worthy and deserving of love, unlike you. You are a cold, prejudiced, unfeeling, horrible person who deserves the worst in life. Shame on you for telling a poor, helpless animal that they’re undeserving and unworthy of love and an amazing life. You are the lowest of lows and may every curse, every inconvenience happen to you for eternity. I hope that your life is filled with shame, hopelessness, loss, and loneliness because that’s what you deserve. Iris is a beautiful, worthy pup and you’re a lowlife.
My cat Mylo needed a friend because I was taking a job after not having to work for years. I heard about Katy cat a formerly feral cat who wasn’t doing well in her home. I figured that as long as she’s friends with MyLo I’m okay with her not wanting human interaction. I’ve had her since 2007 and now she can’t live without me and is always in my lap. At night she must be under the blankets and up against me or on top of the blankets while on me.
One of our babies came to us as a stray one day. He was outside in the yard just sitting and when it started to rain, he stayed there and just put his little head down. It was such a heart breaking sight. This story with Iris kind of reminded me of that when they showed her staying outside in the rain. lol. Mine had a wonderful long life. And I pray Iris does as well. I’m sure she will. ☺️
vegans did you know cows want to get rid of their milk because it feels good to them and they are treated well until death of old age so let milk in your diet.
@@kristophia7310 did you now the cows only produce milk when theyve just given birth? so humans shove their fist up inside them and forcibly impregnate them and then they take away their calves to either kill them or make more dairy cows? the only reason they need us to get rid of their milk is bc we take their children away from them
@@alexpalacios4502 that is not how it works wrong industry the milk industry is different from the cow slaughtering industry but they do take them away from their mother so she doesn't sit on them and kill them that only happens when they sell the calfs.
Shout out to the foster family who gave Iris time to feel safe. They gave her space, love, safety. They were patient and let Iris come around on her own terms, which is so important with certain rescue dogs. Great foster family, and great forever family. Love Dodo videos, they help me believe that good people still exist. ❤
Why do you think they treated the dog that way? Its because other humans in their life treated them horribly too. Its a viscious circle. If you blame the behaviour of a dog on its owner, then you should ask how that owner got treated as a child aswell, and how that owners parents got treated by their parents etc..
@@Subs1338 you're ridiculous we are not dogs. You think a person that's been abused or severely neglected has as little control and rational as a dog?? What a low opinion of people with trauma you have. A more accurate comparison would be a 4 year old human that's been abused or neglected.
Poor Iris was obviously traumatised in the past and it was so sad to watch her shy away from human touch, however, once again patience and love triumph. She's a beautiful dog and it was just fantastic to see her beginning to play and enjoy life. I wish her a long and happy life in her new forever home. Love and blessings to all involved with her rehab.x
Her sitting out in the rain in the yard was heartbreaking, as I'm sure it was for her fosters as well.... But what sweet joy that she got her happily ever after..... You go Iris!!!
Her eyes looked so broken. I can't even imagine what got her to that point but it didn't matter because the power of love and patience will always prevail!!!
You can see through her eyes that someone had broken her spirit her will and her trust so bad! I can’t even phantom what this poor dog went through to end up like that! Thank God that people like the ones that took her in exist in this world!! 🙏🙏👏👏👍👍
📣 MONBEBE for those who are asking... love killa's line distribution was uploaded the day it came out but, a few hours later, the video got blocked. i haven't been able to reupload it since. every time i try, it gets blocked again. sooo... yeah. there's not much i can do about it right now. sorry. 😔 well... here's the thumbnail lol.
Of course I watch as many of these stories as I can, but I’ve watched this one like 10 times. Every time I need to smile, I watch this video. Tells me their are still good people in this world. Cause all I see is the dark side. So it’s my light. These families that adopt or foster are just incredible.
The start was so emotional..then good people treated, and now she is so happy 💛 dog behaviours could be from genes but most important how owners treat them and how they feel. They deserve to be loved 💛💛
That's exactly what it was. Plus of course she knew the other dog was in the house somewhere tucked away and was probably wondering whether they were going to trick her and lock her away too. Lol. Once she met the other dog and got the feel of things, she was ok.
• She was obviously treated really badly by someone that she learned to keep a low profile and try to avoid being seen. She reminds me of how human slaves learned to behave. 😕 Humans are the worst. • It's nice that nature is still there, deep inside the instincts and genes and can still come out no matter how deeply buried it may get from learned trauma. 👍 It's never too late to recover and enjoy what's left of life. ❤️
The progression is so amazing. And that smushed face at the end while she was relaxed really shows how far a little love and patience can bring a dog back to a happy place.
ícҽís թհօҽղíx Pitt bulls are not evil animals “with an instinct to kill”. They have a bad reputation because they were used as fighting dogs, but that isn’t their fault. They can be sweet animals if they are raised right, and treated with love and kindness. They are only dangerous if people abuse them, and they learn to distrust and they become scared, and even then people like the ones in the video can turn around the dog’s attitude. I’m sad that people misjudge animals like these. *This is not hate to you at all I am just trying to show my point of view.*
@@Iceis_Phoenix they do not have an instinct to kill. That is a lie told to scare others from getting these 🐕. They are only trained to fight and those people should be subjected the same fate of many criminals
So true. I intervened once in an animal abuse situation. Going out to dinner the wifey and I saw a guy kicking a dog. My girl prefers I not get involved, but we took a neighbors cat and gave her a choice, we leave the cat but call the cops to investigate OR she let's us rescue it and she won't miss it anyway. Besides, Precious Kitty had been hit by a car in the street, left for dead. My sister saved her. Her hip was broken. It wasnt until Precious Kitty was all healed up. Long solid black, beautiful meow meow. Then the neighbor saw her and coaxed her over and locked her in the house. That night she was on the porch meowing at the door. Next morning BANG BANG it's the weird neighbor lady demanding her cat back. We took pictures of stages of recovery/healing. 5months. After a week it came to a boil and the confrontation. We had Precious Kitty 6years. She would regularly leave a mouse or bird on the porch, her way of contributing
Oh, wow... What beautiful work on the part of the foster parents... What patience and faith... Iris is a magnificent creature... So happy she found the perfect family... and sofa!!!!
It's like she was just waiting for the next slap and seemed bemused when it didn't come. Poor girl. I'd LOVE to give the ex owners a bloody good smack - hard !!!
@@haraldcatalogue7447 I'm normally super anti-violence but I agree completely. I'd give them identical treatment they gave the dog. same food, or lack of food, same beatings, cut their ears and tail off etc
@Emma fussing “at” someone means scolding or nagging, and fussing “over” someone means taking care of them in a slightly concerned or smothering kind of way. Lol English, I tell ya.
They´re so lucky to have this special girl Iris with them. She must truly have been through hard times but now she has a nice family. So happy to see Iris smile again!
Dodo video comes on. Me to my dog: "I know there's gonna be a happy ending, but Imma still need you here for support during the sad part." Dog: "that's cool."
One of my dogs knows when I'm watching a Dodo Pittie video coz she sees me crying and blubbering and getting all snot-nosed. She looks at me like, "Daddy, c'mon, it's a happy video - man up!" Then I have to tell her, "They're happy tears, don't judge me."
A little bit of love and patience really pays off, doesn't it? I'm so glad she has a good, solid forever home w ppl who will love, protect and nurture her broken heart! ❤❤❤
Aw, Iris reminds me so much of my dog I just adopted! He was a stray for over a decade and, when I first got him, he wouldn't come inside, he'd stand in the doorway just staring in, and wouldn't sleep on anything but bare floor. But with patience (and encouragement from my other amazing dog), he's really coming out of his shell (I honestly cried the first time he let me pet him without pulling away). Seeing how far Iris came with her foster family gives me hope that, with time, my guy will learn how safe and loved he is.
It's so sad when a dog is so scared but so touching to see them happy again. Reminds me of when I watched a family friends dog, he was a big rescue dog that they adopted and I came out a few days before they left to meet him and he was so friendly and followed us around and let me pet him just fine but then I went to stay at the house to watch him and he was like an entirely different dog. Which is understandable but it was so sad to see him so scared and to know that animals never forget what they go through. He hid from me and was almost always under the kitchen table looking out the front window waiting for them to come back. He barked whenever he saw me walking around or if I talked to him. So I just decided to never push him and left a treat on the floor once and a while. At the end of the week though, the last two days, he started to peek at me in the living room from around the couch and on the last day he collapsed into my lap and just slept there. It made me so happy to see him trust me.
Iris shows us that all we need is that one best friend that makes you want to move on because you care about them and they care about you and then from there you can make more friends
That poor fur baby was so terrified of everything you could see that she was so abused. These ppl really loved her you could tell they weren't giving up until she was happy again thank you to all who help these misunderstood scared babies. Your all heros in my eyes!! God bless you!!
Isn't it amazing how much "lower" creatures have to teach us: forgiveness, compassion, trust, resilience, how to take care of babies, how to get along with others in need, how to get along with other species.
Experience makes a hell of difference. For anyone with less experience: do not do what they did. Petting and touching a fearful dog backfire immensely when not done right. .
Sleepy comments You clearly have no idea what you are talking about. Most large animals can be dangerous but very very few dogs are dangerous. I’d trust a random dog rather than a random person any day of the week and I am a fairly trusting person. I have known hundreds of dogs and met literally thousands. I say hello to any dog that comes within a few metres of me and since I’m in my 50s and spend a lot of time walking, I have met a lot of dogs. I have had three small bites, none of which broke the skin and I’ve only ever been bitten by a dog that I approached once. Dogs are not dangerous. Dogs are not people, it’s true. Dogs are more trustworthy than people.
@@joshuarosen6242 Truth! The only time I've been bit is when I first started working at a dog daycare. Two dogs got into a fight and I got in between them, catching a deep bite to the leg. The only other time I've been bit was a very shallow, scared bite. Which again, was because of a reaction and me not able to sense it quickly enough. This was out of hundreds of dogs I've dealt with (not quite a thousand though!) Most dogs do not bite if handled properly.
"Im not crying ur crying".. I love the patience her foster mom and dad had with her bringing her out of her shell and the fact that they took time to try to find her the best home and it look like she's happy and she's loved and she deserves that you're all so wonderful God blessed four of you and that sweet fur baby
It sure is a blessing to have such dedicated people who foster. They truly are the beginning of these poor dogs lives to feel what love is all about. Bless you all
So glad to see this precious girl treated with patience and kindness and get a good home so that she can be happy and cared for and safe! Blessings to all who helped Iris!
@@tylerlyons1812 Well then I would advise to take it slow, gradually and in steps. Maybe first try becoming vegetarian and then transition to becoming a vegan. Becoming vegan for a meat eater is definitely not gonna be easy so it's important you don't get overwhelmed or risk your health. Learn to cook some vegetarian and vegan cuisine and slowly transition to relying more on them. If you have any questions please feel free to ask even if it takes months for me to answer your question I would be more than willing. Have a good one.

When eyes and movement tell a whole life story. Broke my heart. So glad she's better now. Thanks to everyone involved for all that you do to make up for other people's actions.
“Pittbulls are dangerous viscous creatures.” No, they’re mistreated, misguided beautiful dogs with the same strengths as German shepherds and a heart even bigger.
Agreed 100% only mean if someone MAKES IT MEAN. Given love a dog will love you so much, let them be your best friend, for it's life and yours will be sooo much better. Positive vibes from New Hampshire and remember to be kind to each other and yourself during this pandemic and social crisis
Hi! I like your comment. I get what you are trying to do, and it’s obvious it comes from a good place. I agree 100% - up to a point...Pit bulls don’t share the “same strengths” as German Shepherds. Each breed has its own, unique, set of traits. Calling pit bulls “vicious by nature” is wrong...but identifying them as similar to German Shepherds is also wrong. Again, I like your comment, and I respect your opinion. I just think it may be misleading.
kittensandkats mk : Yes. I had no issue with the meaning of “analogy”. I had issue with the content- i.e., a German Shepherd. I think I made that pretty clear- but apparently not enough for you. So let me try again. IMHO, it is inappropriate to compare (a synonym of analogy) a pit bull to a German Shepard in this context. Is that clear enough? I might add that pit bulls are not as intelligent, trainable, or aggression-controllable as German Shepherds- so that’s why the comparison is not a good one...
Omg, what a special dog. This one broke my heart more than others It took her a lot longer than most to feel comfortable, safe, he was extremely fearful, it's obvious she was treated horrible and was probably not allowed to interact with people. Thank God he was rescued by wonderful people. God bless you all. So happy he will live a wonderful rest of his days💖
That was a beautiful film, very well made and gave us a brilliant insight into lovely Iris's life before and after her rescue. Very well done rescuers, you are Angels here on earth. Iris will be happy for the rest of her day now. LOVELY .....
the dog knew exactly what to do, he was not waiting for you to tell him what to do, he analysed the situation and decided being patient is the best way, and look how that turned out, amazing.
To think that someone could break another living breathing beings spirit so bad like this makes my blood boil. Thank you so much for your patience and kind nature!!! Long happy life to you Iris sweet girl…
